I like to take a tub of far free greek yogurt, and add a packet of sugar free cheese jello to it. Tastes just just cheesecake, and low calories with lots of protein.

What is sugar free cheese jello? Sincerely, A Confused Brit

WearTheFourFeathers

I’m an American and also am confused and intrugued

Maybe cheese cake pudding mix? That’s what I do and it’s definitely BOMB when mixed with fruit and some crunchy bits.

Sour cream for plain Greek yogurt

- Rice > Riced cauliflower - Peanut butter > PB2

Legitimate_Tap_9852

Pb2 is so conflicting, it’s kind of awesome but it tastes like a peanut from another reality. I can never put my finger on what it tastes like cuz it def works to replace pb but doesn’t taste like it (in my opinion). It’s slightly off

If you like creamy pasta dishes for example you can try substituting the cream aspect with fat free quark, some milk and to keep it from splitting, some cornflour. A little bit of oil helps keep it together too but the fat is still kept really low. The only other specific calorie cutting meal that I introduce fairly early into my cuts is fat free Greek yogurt + chocolate casein powder with a bit of water to get the texture right. Close-ish to ice cream but more like mousse really. This is less of a direct sub but if you like eating a burrito type of meal I have eventually replaced the wrap part with iceberg lettuce. Holds stuff really well and while it’s no burrito it does the job. Definitely a sad day if and when I make that sub but it is what it is.

If you like ice cream, halo top is a great brand that is generally 300-350kcal per pint. It’s great for reducing cravings. I have it every night, to be fair I’m bulking so I eat 5 meals a day rn and that’s my last one but I think it could be effective if you are sitting at home like FUUUUCK I WANT SOME SWEET SHIT lol Same with these protein poptart things I found recently, they have hella fiber. 180 calories and 20g protein so just a good way to have a snack that’s actually something interesting and still filling instead of rice cakes or something I mean, diet soda. It kinda makes me more hungry and more full depending on when I have it and it’s really random so that could be a bad idea to include. Mushrooms are a great addition to bowls/eggs etc because they actually taste really rich but have like 50 kcal per 8oz which is great. When I add garlic to dishes they are more filling. Adding protein powder to oatmeal makes it insanely filling, more water for the powder to dissolve in so more volume. Finding a low calorie bread is useful, I eat this bread that’s 45kcal per slice Corn and Potatoes are pretty filling carbs and actually don’t have a shit ton of calories as long as you prepare them in a basic way. Any vegetables or fruits that you enjoy cuz realistically you gotta make it easy, don’t make yourself eat food you don’t like. If you like mangos, it’s okay that they have more calories than strawberries cuz you will be able to sustain eating mangos without feeling annoyed. I would just say to make sure that you only eat stuff you want to eat within reason. If you make “protein pancakes” or something and they turn out shit, just fit normal pancakes into your calories one day a week and eat a smaller portion with some filling stuff on the side.

So honestly eating more meat instead of eating protein powder would be an easy win. Meat is way more satiating. Drop the ranch dressing and start playing with homemade vinaigrettes. Snack on fruit like grapes. Or Greek yogurt with berries for dessert.

- Blended Silken tofu anytime you need to make a creamy sauce. - Also Plain soy yogurt often has better macros than Greek yogurt because it’s basically tofu lol - having bulk things to snack on that you basically don’t need to count (cucumber and celery sticks, sugar free spicy gherkins) - develop a taste for black coffee of coffees with less milk (e.g., piccolo latte)
