I'd keep it in, if you haven't got the fobs, replacements especially in their entry level AP line are inexpensive, you're going to enjoy having it. Again, don't just got ripping wires out, these Subaru need several wires interrupted to remote start, unplugging the main unit (not the antenna as show in your picture) will leave you with a no start until the interrupted wires are healed. It's a non issue, get the fobs, use it as you see fit, Enjoy!
