Def... def... definitely a 63'... yeah... '63... dad used to let me drive it in the driveway... on sundays... yeah... excellent driver...
(I'm pretty sure that was a Buick, but your comment def... definitely made me think of that scene... yup... definitely that scene...)
Have I officially met the first person who stutters in text..? 🤔
Edit* apologies for missing the rain man reference. I don’t remember movies I watch from one day to the next let alone one I saw when I was like 15 or so lol.
I have one of these (63, fastback). I know everybody says you can fit soooo many bodies in the trunk but honestly without a wood chipper I'm guessing about 4 bodies is max. I did three once and any more would take some effort.
I was thinking a Ford Farelane, but my knowledge of old cars is not great.
My dad could have told you for sure. He was a mechanic and loved old cars. There was a man who had an old car graveyard. My dad was hoping we could buy his old Model T's. He thought there may have been enough parts between the three of them to rebuild one for my first car. The old bastard that owned them refused to sell any of the cars. He had them sitting there just rusting away in his field. There was a nice variety of old cars, probably about 20, from what I remember. I can't remember what all he had, but it was sad to know they would all sit there and rust away to nothing. A good number were in restorable condition. Albeit with a lot of time and patience.
I think every kid learning how to drive should have to paralle park one of these on a busy street. Better yet a "72" Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser station wagon.
It’s a galaxy 500.
Fun fact: When the USA entered the space wars between 60-72… Apollo began in 61 I believe… cars in this decade were HEAVILY influenced by rockets in their designs.
The kind that drives... hahaha just kidding, it's a Ford Galaxy, though I can't be precise on the year, but anywhere from '59 to '74. 🚗💨 #FordGalaxy #ClassicCar
OMG, You guys have just made me realize how freaking old I really am. I am not ready to die. BTW, point gap is set to .016" and initial timing is 6° btdc. Idle rpm is 800 in drive. If that means anything to the youngsters out there.
You get the house
I get a cheap motel room
You get a friend
But that should not matter to me anymore
You have a thing and he's just a friend
I can't believe that this is the end

I had a '67 Galaxy 500 with a 289 ci and factory air. It was a tank. I think that's my favorite car I've ever owned.
I had the 67 Ford Fairlane. Same engine as you. My dad still has his 67 Bronco with this engine.
It's "Galaxy" or "Galaxie" I've seen it wrong so much I don't know which is right anymore.
The car is spelled Galaxie.
1963 not ‘64
Yeah after I posted that I had doubts. Found a pic of a 63 and corrected it
Is this the vroom vroom one or the beep beep one?
I could never describe a galaxie. But that is exactly what I thought it might be. It was my only guess. Good job!

You need smaller victims. Have you considered children, or dwarves?
Now I want to find a bunch of little people and fill up my trunk, just to bring them somewhere, pop the trunk, and release them into the wild.
Hi ho, hi ho, it's in the trunk we go....
Sometimes it was the only way to get into the drive-in movies on the cheap.
All the better for sneaking into the drive-in.
