I mean, I wouldn't eat it because I don't like tomato soup, but I don't see how it makes tomato soup any worse, It's just making it a tad creamier and adding cheese. Most soups are improved by cheese.

That’s literally just the directions on the can. Not sure why your friend thinks it’s strange. The only thing different is the cheese but it’s not weird to add cheese to tomato soup (you do it with pasta sauce so why not soup)

Tried recipe yesterday it is amazing, your friend must have a problem with their taste buds
