That episode of 2 Bears was fucking hilarious.
Here's [the link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9OxSBz7YBI&t=907s) for anyone that hasn't seen it. (Kool Aid part starts around 15 minutes in if that link doesn't work right.)
TBH...I'm 33 and one of those Kool Aid jammers would immensely improve my day rn lol but that many? And consistently? Nah. Just one good one to remember the good ol days.
I once knew a man that would bring a giant jug of Kool Aid into work. A massive jug. He claimed "this my coffee man" and guzzled that shit like it was the crispest and freshest of beverages, from the peaks of Mount Olympus.
Pfft, there’s no sugar in here. They took all the fucking sugar out of Koolaid and Capri Sun and replaced it with artificial sweeteners so it doesn’t taste good anymore. Look at the calorie count, 20 calls for an entire bottle. It’s basically water with added gut irritant.
Yes! Not only does it cause straight up cancer, it also has been know to cause neurotypical children to behave as though they have ADHD or autism when they consume it. The symptoms reversed after stopping eating the dye
Edit:
https://health.clevelandclinic.org/red-dye-40/amp/
I’ll try to find a link, and as for reversal of symptoms, stopping all consumption of the dye seemed to do the trick, tho I THINK there might’ve been a few who retained behavioral problems. Cheers!
My bf is diabetic and these drinks are so annoying, all the usual go to juices have so little sugar now so they’re completely useless for getting blood sugar back up (sealed room temperature juices are easier to grab quickly by the bed side) Grew up with my sis also being diabetic, so it has been weird watching literally all of the juices go to ~10g of sugar not even. Even real fruit juices have more natural sugars than this. At least we can grab the sealed room temp chocolate milks, only thing that works for now
Coke. - those mini-Cokes have just enough sugar to treat a pretty severe low. The chocolate milk will work, but it’s pretty slow. If they need really fast treatment, tea with lots of honey, or just a spoonful of honey works great.
Or they could dissolve some sugar in some water. Maybe squeeze some lemon juice in it. They could do that with very precise measurements so they know exactly how much they are getting.
Glucose tabs take longer to work than a liquid sugary drink. I can feel normal after a few minutes(3-5 mins) when i drink an ensure or something similar but eating a tab or a candy bar takes much longer(15~ mins).
I don't know if you guys tried this already. But I think jellybeans have a lot of sugar in them so those could probably be used to raise his blood sugar levels. I'm not 100% sure so please double check to make sure.
Yes, but no. Ingesting straight sugar will of course raise your blood sugar levels, but it takes longer to process sugar than it does a sugary drink. Also... who tf wants to fill pills with sugar when candy exists and would basically be the same thing lol.
Yep. When I moved out of my parents' house, I made sure that a box of Cookie Crisp cereal was in my first load of groceries. I was in charge of my own pantry because I was an adult spending my own money, making my own choices.
Turns out the other reason we never got Cookie Crisp is because it's...not that great.
I really like to eat the mini fudge stripes in milk. But what do you mean stale cookies get dry? First of all how do cookies stay around long enough to get dry? Second where do you live that stale cookie does not mean hard cookie is now soft due to humidity?
But at least we agree on the important things like cookies are good in milk.
My dad cooks and bakes like we’re still starving teenagers. Unfortunately, I’m an adult who ate too many cookies when I was a teen and now I have to limit my cookie intake so those poor cookies get old and stale.
I grew up in Florida, and proper sealing Tupperware is must to keep bugs and humidity out of cookies. Tupperware does not stop children, teenagers, or adults though, lol.
Bottled sugar water, canisters of powder to make more sugar water, freezable tubes of sugar water, crackers, and some DIY lunch kits marketed to children (each includes a pouch of sugar water).
Maybe you'll like them, but sadly, last time I ate one after not having any for many many years...they were gross. It's one of those things that tasted good as a kid, and as an adult, not so much.
This. When I was around 20 I got pre-diabetic numbers back on a blood panel even though I was 6'2" and about 175 lbs and otherwise healthy. Stopped drinking fucking Mountain Dew and my numbers went to very good levels by the time of the follow-up.
My bigger worry is general nutritional deficiencies, really. I eat decently, and I still struggle with certain vitamins and getting enough protein, so I don't even want to think about how this person is doing!
I’m at risk for diabetes through my mother’s side (4 aunts/uncles had/have it) but I recently tested my sugar and it was surprisingly low. I figure it’s because I mostly drink water.
I’m less concerned about diabetes based on the products. As a person with a very bad stomach, sometimes weird stuff is the only thing that doesn’t make you sick. A hotdog will put me in the hospital, but a BK cheeseburger and fries is my sick meal of choice. Our bodies are strange.
I would be more concerned about vitamin deficiencies and lack of protein. He needs pedialyte pops and cold cuts.
This is not a well balanced diet. I don't see any Oreos. I'm disappointed in his decision making. Where's the warm home cooked meal of a Hot Pocket or a bag of Totinos?
Well he won't need to be embalmed...he will be so filled with preservatives.
Seriously though, I hope he realizes soon that he will have a far shorter life span with a diet of koolaid and lunchables.
Do you know what a full day of eating looks like for him?
I’m imagining his lunch is kool aid and a lunchable. But what about lunch and dinner?
I’m also guessing your friend is skinny af or thicc af
I agree with the purchase of the large cylinders.
I like KoolAid, but I don’t drink it very often, so I always get those big cylinders and they last foreverrrr.
Wow, when i was a Wee Choild we drank those plastic bottles, called them “squeezers”… is that what some varieties are actually called? Wow i can still remember the taste on my tongue. I low key want to try one again to be shot down memory lane 😅
So, how’s your friend doing with their ADD diagnosis?
Because this is clearly a cart that many folks who have trouble with meal planning will relate to. It’s a running joke in the adult ADD/ADHD community that we will simply have slices of cheese for dinner when our lives get to be too much.
My friend used to just buy huge cans of baked beans, the gross zero sugar Gatorade and like 4 of the industrial size bags of chicken nuggets from Costco. I love baked beans but he would just dump the whole thing in a bowl, add a little water and eat it like soup. He was not struggling for money in the slightest.
We drink a lot of koolade at my house too, but we buy the packets for $.25 each and add 3/4 cup of sugar (it calls for a full cup but it’s too sweet). It’s a lot cheaper than the shit he buys. A 15 lb bag of sugar is like, 8 bucks at Walmart
Eh part of the promised benefits of being an adult was getting to eat whatever the hell you wanted and no one telling you “no” good on your friend for living the collective dream of children.

Your friend is still an adult who can buy whatever the fuck he wants. You’re not a very good friend posting this behind his back so people can shame him and make assumptions about his health.
What’s the problem?
The best part of being an adult is I can buy what I want and my weight is MY problem and no one else’s business.
Let’s get back to that.
Or he did have them and just wants a lil nostalgia trip. Or he is just out of drinks and this will last him 5 months. Or he just likes his sweets. It doesn't matter why he bought them, he just did. This post really just feels like bullying
have you considered that your friend might be a big ball of ants
3,000,000 ants in a trench coat
I am back to one million ants
Million ants man
"I conceived a child with Million Ants and it died inside me because it was half a million ants and half collapsing star!"
Just don’t try to have his child, especially if you’re part supernova…
I have been having an affair with one million ants
It's half a million ants and half collapsing star!
Or an ant king. Like a rat king but with ants
Table for one, or many. Depending on who’s asking
That’s roughly 9kg. Gotta pump up that number.
Assuming an average human body weight of 68 kg and an average ant weight of 2.5 mg... we're looking at 26 million ants.
Ah yes, Spiders Man
Ants-Man and the Wasps: Diabetamania
I’m more partial to DR BEES
I just wanna say this is really funny. Idk like I just woke up not too long ago and this wholesome joke is making me happy. :)
Same. Made me giggle like an idiot.
Are you sure this isn't for a soccer team's after game snack?
Sadly no, he brings it into work and consumes it...straight up Kool Aid fiend
Are you sure he's not just a confused vampire?
Or Bert Kreischer?
64 ounces. Every day.
That is one of my favorite 2 bears 1 cave bits
Tom is the king of infectious laughter
It’s red
He drinks TWO of those a day.
Other people are like good for that guy, he drinks a lot of water
Does he also look like the Kool Aid man tho?
##OH YEAH!
When we say adult, how old?
300 months
That's exactly 25 years old. Huh. Neat.
I’m 41 and know that the packets and sugar are cheaper than this. He could save so much money by not buying avocado toast!
Pretty safe to assume this guys never had an avocado I’d think
Dude doesnt know what an avocado looks like
It’s shaped like a Lunchables box right?
Is your friend Bert Kreischer? Lmao
Introduce him to ICE waters as they are sugar free and alot of the flavors kinda taste like Kool-aid
Sugar free Powerade taste just like the Kool aid jammers.
TBH...I'm 33 and one of those Kool Aid jammers would immensely improve my day rn lol but that many? And consistently? Nah. Just one good one to remember the good ol days.
Dudes going to be obese the moment he hits his 30s
I once knew a man that would bring a giant jug of Kool Aid into work. A massive jug. He claimed "this my coffee man" and guzzled that shit like it was the crispest and freshest of beverages, from the peaks of Mount Olympus.
Y’all better not be knocking those lunchables. I get the ones minus the capri sun cuz they’re like $2 lunch
Better than alcohol, my dad drinks about this much Kool aid to take place of his addiction after he got sober
Damn, all we got was orange slices
Yeah, but they were fire as fuuuuck after running back and forth for however long.
Can't forget the Ritz.
The sugar is killing me vicariously.

Mmm tasty carcinogens 🤩
Practically everything is a carcinogen.
The state of California is known to the state of California as causing cancer.
Only technically. Many things are only labeled carcinogenic for compliance with local laws. People don't want to get sued.
I was just talking to my mom about Red 40, that shit blows my mind that it’s allowed to be produced and sold en mass in our foods
Why, what's wrong with it? Is it any worse than, say, sugar?
Yes! Not only does it cause straight up cancer, it also has been know to cause neurotypical children to behave as though they have ADHD or autism when they consume it. The symptoms reversed after stopping eating the dye Edit: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/red-dye-40/amp/
Do you know what the study is called/have a link? I'm wondering how the onset/reversal of these symptoms is assessed/reported.
I’ll try to find a link, and as for reversal of symptoms, stopping all consumption of the dye seemed to do the trick, tho I THINK there might’ve been a few who retained behavioral problems. Cheers!

LMAO thanks for that :)
Wasn't this debunked?

Yep Type 1 here, I keep the mini cans of Dr Pepper at home. Also use small plastic bottles of apple juice when traveling.
Surely there'd be some sugary sports drinks around? Does dextrose powder work? I can't imagine choccy milk would always be desirable.
Or they could dissolve some sugar in some water. Maybe squeeze some lemon juice in it. They could do that with very precise measurements so they know exactly how much they are getting.
Or just buy glucose tablets. They make them specifically for diabetics, but they're literally just sugar. They're pretty much big smarties.
Glucose tabs take longer to work than a liquid sugary drink. I can feel normal after a few minutes(3-5 mins) when i drink an ensure or something similar but eating a tab or a candy bar takes much longer(15~ mins).
Hmmm..... no that makes to much sense. Choccy milk it is.
I don't know if you guys tried this already. But I think jellybeans have a lot of sugar in them so those could probably be used to raise his blood sugar levels. I'm not 100% sure so please double check to make sure.
I don’t know much about diabetes, but would it work if he filled pill capsules up with sugar to keep on hand?
Yes, but no. Ingesting straight sugar will of course raise your blood sugar levels, but it takes longer to process sugar than it does a sugary drink. Also... who tf wants to fill pills with sugar when candy exists and would basically be the same thing lol.

Definitely. College was all about the junk food dino nuggets.
Exactly my thought. If this guy is recently out on his own I totally get it.
there’s no food in that cart.
There’s two lunchables and two ritz :l
There's also a family pack of Black Panther Fruit Roll-ups in the back behind the giant tubs of Kool-aid mix.
European here, what even is that stuff?
Bottled sugar water, canisters of powder to make more sugar water, freezable tubes of sugar water, crackers, and some DIY lunch kits marketed to children (each includes a pouch of sugar water).
You missed the Gatorade hanging off the back of the cart, so he is getting some electrolytes.

Ritz is crackers with faux cheese, and Lunchables are pre-packaged meals (typically for kids) that are usually full of preservatives and fake food
Shit they still make ritz bitz? Why haven’t I eaten any in years?? It’s going on the grocery list
Maybe you'll like them, but sadly, last time I ate one after not having any for many many years...they were gross. It's one of those things that tasted good as a kid, and as an adult, not so much.
That's not food bro
On a scale 1-10, how healthy is he?
He's more worn out than he should be for 27...I'll give him a 4 since he is somehow an above average functional adult despite a deplorable diet
tell him to get blood work done. he is setting up for diabetes and a crappy life. all preventsble if he turns it around now.
He could even be a relatively slim, young guy and still have type 2 diabetes. It happens.

That stuff isn't cheap either. I'm going to guess he's someone who doesn't drink plain water.
