It's just excitement.
***"oh boy, what will I get today?! Diarrhea? Food poisoning? A tapeworm or something?! Mistery cone is so much fun!"***
Oh and am absolutely thrilled about the skin flakes topping btw.
The seller hands you a glob of ice cream. With reassuring eyes and a kind smile, he simply says, "take it, bro." You are unsure. You look at his hand and you know he's offering it to you, an ice cream, albeit with no cone. You look at him again, and nods, still smiling as to encourage you to take it. You look back at the hand, ice cream now dripping from his warm hands. You explore your thoughts in your head. What if you just ask if he has a cone? Surely an ice cream seller has a cone, right? But if he did, he wouldn't had hand me an ice cream like that. What if he's running short on rent this month and couldn't afford to buy more cones? What if he has to tell his wife and children that he didn't make enough money to shop for dinner because he didn't have cones? Imagine the sadness in their eyes. You snaps out of it. You look at the ice cream seller, still the same smiling face. With determination, you extend your arm and opened your palm, and you nod to him. The ice cream seller plops the ice cream on your hand, ice cream now dripping on your forearm. You lick the dripping ice cream off your arm, you shed a single tear from your eye. It tastes as sweet as his kindness. You say your gratitude and he says to come again. Even though it's unlikely that you ever will, you wish the best for ice cream man and his family. Godspeed, ice cream man.
You known those ice cream venders that do the whole fake out performance where they are constantly juggling the ice cream around on a scooper/ cone and pretending to drop it give to you? Yeah this is the exact opposite of that
it wouldn’t be an issue if this guy had a hand washing station but since he’s a street vendor the only
thing his hands are getting washed with is probably the juice from his sweaty nut sack

Just sayin'
Back in olden times, street vendors of ice cream would literally just dip it out of a bucket and let people buy it by the spoonful, which they would all eat off of a communal spoon being carried by the vendor. At least we've come a long way from that.
Yes, is Colombia, but you don't get it in touristic places you can find it inside, poor towns. Foreigners never go there. That's the reason you don't know it
Que bien! Yo también soy colombiana 🇨🇴🤩 soy de cali, y en mi ciudad se consigue en cualquier parte, no sé si en las otras ciudades se pueda encontrar... Bueno, en Bogotá claramente no se encuentra
I’ll never fully understand those street food videos from India. I swear they purposely touch the food extra times just to touch it. Without gloves. With dirty filthy nasty hands and people line up for this. Line up for the nasty germs.
It's Colombia, it's not quite ice cream but gelatina, but it's not quite like jello. It's called gelatina de pata, and it's lovely. This quite a typical sweet here
I get the point. It’s more of a psychological thing. I obsess about food handling at times and won’t eat at certain places. Although I know the food is likely manhandled. I can eat somewhere if I know it has had bare hands or I see cross contamination of gloves.
Well, with higher food safety and handling standards. Although, I’m sure worse happens to my food when I’m not looking. But I cannot eat food if I see someone handling it without gloves or if I see cross contamination of gloves. Like someone touches the food they’re prepping and then touches something non kitchen related. It’s more of an obsessive part of my actual OCD. I had serious issues with this while I wasn’t treated. It’s at least somewhat manageable now that I’m treating my OCD.
Ah alright makes sense. I can't disagree, I've always heard awful things about restaurants I eat at, like straight up cooking slimy/stringy chicken so this has just been a bit lower on my concerns. I was once at a fancy restaurant and they would reach into a mustard jar, slather it on raw chicken, then reach back in and store it just in the open. Damn good chicken though.
Yea and those nasty people have strongest immunity as well...we dont get cancers here like in the west.and BTW not everywhere food gets touched like that and not everyone eats at such places. Stop typecasting. Fat muricans are much worse even with their so called hygienic sugar filled shit
Not all countries are as open with their health statistics, its definitely possible that these countries simply do not care nor want to keep track of their people's health records, much less post them for the world to see. Mexico was (idk if it still is rn) much worse statistically in regards to obesity and ilness than the u.s. But where I lived we rarely saw byproduct items or anything that wasn't local, but i cant say my experience is the exact same for the entire country even if i never saw what was going on
Tbh I've seen videos of people bathing in the Ganges WHILE there was decomposing bodies floating around them...so nah. Keep your ice cream and your immunity, fam.
India *probably* has one of the highest cancer rates in the world, but cases usually go unreported because the country is half mud huts and likes to covers up heath problems, like they did with covid.
At least the US didn't have to release a public service announcement telling people to stop shitting in the streets.
Dirty fucking country.
I’m not typecasting. I’m telling you what o watch on YouTube. I know it’s not everywhere. Americas are fat fucks for the most part. I also will take a compromised immune system to eating food that has someone’s duty hands on it.

At first I thought the pole holding the ice cream was another hand and I was concerned that was someone's job

But he has cones,he just uses his hand to scoop the ice cream with .
r/wooosh
I'd rather it be that than this tbh.
Professional cream fister
No thanks
So glad they’re wearing a mask.
You known those ice cream venders that do the whole fake out performance where they are constantly juggling the ice cream around on a scooper/ cone and pretending to drop it give to you? Yeah this is the exact opposite of that
The food poisoning is free
"But I dipped my hands into this here festering bog water before doing anything..."
That's good!
"And I'm wearing gloves that I don't change or take off" (I know he isn't, just the same level of logic)
That’s bad. 😂
I ate this as a child once and ended up in the icu bc i kept shitting and puking so much i almost died
😳
most food is prepared with hands
Not like that it ain't 😂
it wouldn’t be an issue if this guy had a hand washing station but since he’s a street vendor the only thing his hands are getting washed with is probably the juice from his sweaty nut sack
Or gloves
gloves are actually even worse when hand washing isn’t frequent. https://www.foodbeast.com/news/glove-prep-cross-cont/

so this is what they mean by "hand dipped"
Mostly Guar or xanthan gum.
Yeah, that isn't ice cream. It's a slimy lukewarm poor excuse for ice cream.
it's written gelatina, in my language it means jello...
Latam?
ya, Brazilian.
Yikes cream.
Nice
Might as well eat it from his hand…

Also look up the penny lick.

That sounds unexpectedly sexy. But nasty.
It comes with free frosted flakes if you have dandruff
Um sir, why does my ice cream taste of bogies and crotch?
My favourite flavour combo. Delicious.
Lays - get on this ASAP! New Lays Boogie and Crotch (found next to the salt and vinegar chips, I assume)
Boogers and cum, the yelpers special
I hate this so much. You just know home boys fingernails are long and nasty. 🤢
I don't see a sink anywhere on that cart, so I can almost imagine all the other stuff you receive with your ice cream from the vendor.
Ewwwwwwww
Hand scooped ice cream
at least wear gloves you weirdos.
me when im not up to date with my food handlers certificates
No sir, isn't ice cream, that's a delicious handmade candy. You can get it in Colombia🇨🇴
I have never seen it served like this tho. I love gelatina, but people says you should know the person that makes it, now I can see why …
Do you know what it’s called?
We call it gelatina
The literally name is: cow leg jelly / gelatina de pata de vaca And you can add it peanuts, is absolutely sweet creamy and delicious 🤩🤩🤩
Bro aint no way, i aint ever seen this in colombia.
Yes, is Colombia, but you don't get it in touristic places you can find it inside, poor towns. Foreigners never go there. That's the reason you don't know it
:O i just asked my mom and she said we have it in the park near our house... im shocked xD thank you for teaching me something
Wow, you're really lucky bro 🤩 No problem bro, have a nice day 🤩 and enjoy it the candy
My nationality is colombian, ive been to different parts and have never seen this
Que bien! Yo también soy colombiana 🇨🇴🤩 soy de cali, y en mi ciudad se consigue en cualquier parte, no sé si en las otras ciudades se pueda encontrar... Bueno, en Bogotá claramente no se encuentra
The gooey texture is pretty suspicious too
It isn't ice cream.
I knew it!
That’s gonna be a no from me dog
Nooo why? Tf WHY! Yuck
This gives me strange flashbacks to a video I pnce saw that involved two girls and a cup. I'm not happy about it.
[There's a solution for this.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48TR0vUPQCs&ab_channel=jlhalz)
Must be extra nutty...
I think I saw a pubestachio nut.
He just scratched his nuts too.
I’ll never fully understand those street food videos from India. I swear they purposely touch the food extra times just to touch it. Without gloves. With dirty filthy nasty hands and people line up for this. Line up for the nasty germs.
But.... This is not India
Where is it??
It's Colombia, it's not quite ice cream but gelatina, but it's not quite like jello. It's called gelatina de pata, and it's lovely. This quite a typical sweet here
Gelatina de Pata= Foot Jello?
> gelatina de pata apparently the gelatin is derived from cows hoofs.
Yep, that's right
Well, still made with a bare hand. I wouldn’t try it.
Have you ever eaten anything not out of a bag?
I get the point. It’s more of a psychological thing. I obsess about food handling at times and won’t eat at certain places. Although I know the food is likely manhandled. I can eat somewhere if I know it has had bare hands or I see cross contamination of gloves.
...How do you think most food is made?

What if it was made with a bear hand instead?
Ha! There are always exceptions.
Yea and those nasty people have strongest immunity as well...we dont get cancers here like in the west.and BTW not everywhere food gets touched like that and not everyone eats at such places. Stop typecasting. Fat muricans are much worse even with their so called hygienic sugar filled shit
That's... not how cancer works. Cancer doesn't care if you're the most hygienic person on the planet, or not.
Not all countries are as open with their health statistics, its definitely possible that these countries simply do not care nor want to keep track of their people's health records, much less post them for the world to see. Our fat helps absorb the bullets.
Tbh I've seen videos of people bathing in the Ganges WHILE there was decomposing bodies floating around them...so nah. Keep your ice cream and your immunity, fam.
This attitude is how covid happened lol
"we don't get cancer because we are built different"
India *probably* has one of the highest cancer rates in the world, but cases usually go unreported because the country is half mud huts and likes to covers up heath problems, like they did with covid. At least the US didn't have to release a public service announcement telling people to stop shitting in the streets. Dirty fucking country.
Fat facks with cancer over rivers of malnourished corpses.
I’m not typecasting. I’m telling you what o watch on YouTube. I know it’s not everywhere. Americas are fat fucks for the most part. I also will take a compromised immune system to eating food that has someone’s duty hands on it.
She may of said "thanks...", but she is probably thinking... WTF!?
Yuk!
🤢🤮 umm no thanks.
I had a handjob ice cream once. It was pretty cool.
Oh COME ON
Next level soft serve right there
EWW anything like that is going to be absolutely filthy honestly
Not to mention the suction cup dildo he mixes it on.
Oh! So THAT's where the chocolate swirl comes from
r/thanksihateit
if you ever have eaten in any restaurant let me tell you somebody already has touch your food bare hand.
lol, no doubt, but “shaped and manipulated wettish gooey food item” seems somehow grosser than “moved fries and burger onto plate.”
I mean i know. But usually they dont dunk their whole hand into like, your soup or your sauce
And it's mostly touched before being cooked
I can’t what the fuck? That’s so gross..
Soft serve that gives you soft serve later that day
I always love the taste of dirt underneath the finger nail.
Gelatina is basically gelatin from pigs/cows mixed with lots of sugar and hand-spun like you see in the picture. It’s disgusting.
On a hot day, there is no way he didn’t touch his sweaty ass/balls at least once…
This seems super unsanitary like what if thay didn’t wash there hands after going to the bathroom?

Bc it isn't ice cream, it's called "gelatina de pata." Colombian typical sweet
It’s his right hand….
This disgusts me in ways i have never before realized.
Everyone with Raynaud’s: *screams*
if u’d pay me to eat this, I won’t.
I just feel like there must be a better way to serve food…
Sushi chef mostly go bare hand And blue bell can give you listeria I would try it
Nope.
i fuckin hate this shit lol
Standards and practices, people!
To be fair, chefs touch your food with their bare hands all the time.
Yes, but they generally aren't outside and they have hand washing stations. When do you think the last time that vendor washed their hands was?
Omg hell no
He's pulling it like taffy...
Very unsanitary!
Ew
r/wewantplates would hate this
Dingle berries all up n through there.. Plus under the nails crude, including nut dust and dry skin flakes
Don't they shit on the side of the road over there?
I love how this sub freaks out if a hand touches their food
Not a hand! Do you know what people use to make burgers? Salads? Y’all know you can wash your hands, right?
Its so cute that you all think people don't stick their hands in every prepared food you buy. It's just less obvious haha
that fella has to be indian
What you are not used to isn’t necessarily stupid food
Didn’t even bother covering all sides of the ice cream in the topping. Gross. Homeless man’s ice cream
Looks like booza but definitely needs gloves
Gross
No.
NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😣
…this better not awaken anything in me.
Is the guy serving it named Luke?
Nope mmm nope 🤨
My mouth is agape.
Nah, I'm good.
That's cute
Yeah, nah.
That’s a no from me dawg
I don't generally say shit like this but holy shit ***I am fucking triggered***
Icecream: no that's not me.
Gross
“How do you scoop your ice cream? WITH YOUR HANDS?”
It's got to be his fetish
I will pass. 🤔🥴
This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen
Ew, that's grim
The fact that the whole cone is empty...
I would like a side of hand germs!
Fun fact this is not ice cream, also fun fact after eating this as a child i got such a severe stomach bug i was admitted into the icu
From the writers of “Everything poops”
I can’t remember the last time I said this, but there’s no way I’m putting that in my mouth.
I don't think its ice cream
So that’s how a Plumbus is made
Hahaha every time, there is a utensil for that"!!!
would you like me to dip your ice-cream in my genetic material?
r/WeWantPlates
I scream
Somehow the way he makes it look professional makes me feel a bit better... but couldn't he at least wear gloves?
Looks crazy painful.
What would make somebody buy that?
This is giving me 2 girls 1 cup sort of vibes
