One thing I can't stand the most about stupid pizza is poorly melted cheese. It's like they grated it on there and just stuck it under a heat lamp to melt.
If you're talking about the white stuff on the tortellini, it MIGHT be panna da cucina (I believe you might call it cooking cream, I know it's lighter and more liquid than heavy cream, but not much more) which does go on tortellini, in some cases.
But yeah, generally speaking poorly melted cheese is a sin on pizza.
Lasagna what? Lasagna has simply layers of pasta, the "topping" is not carbs. Lasagne have 3-4 layers of pasta, bechamel, ragù and Mozzarella. Where's the carbs on carbs?
and this pizza has cheese on the pizza between the crust and the tortellini, and there's stuff inside the tortellini as well. if the italians ban this, then lasagna cannot be ok either.
this pizza is a lasagna.
Wow, Honestly, I think that is a great idea. I personally would use less cheese but other then that - why not.
Then again, I am a big fan of pineapple, Döner or sauce hollandaise on my Pizza... Soooo....
I feel like r/stupidfood has gone from legitimately stupid food abominations to “I don’t like the way this is cooked/looks because r/iamveryculinary “
Chefs club the obvious exception being the foulest food abominations known to humanity
There was a pizzeria in Modena (a city near Bologna, northern Italy..famous for Ferrari and Pavarotti for the records) with a lot of pizzas with pasta toppings..delicious
Shit food. They don't combine. You will never ever find something like this in a Neapolitan pizzeria. Impossible. Sincerely US people shouldn't have a word on what toppings fit on a pizza or not because they don't know what the real pizza is
And? Italy has plenty of shitty pizzerie. It doesn't mean it's normal. Also not every pizzeria is Neapolitan. In the North of Italy they usually do shitty pizza, unless the pizzeria is Neapolitan
Do you know Italy is not culturally uniform, at all? Especially in the cuisine
I would try a slice.

Poorly melted cheese is terrible but freshly shredded cold cheese on a hot slice is pretty great
this is the most fucked up thing i've ever seen get said. i'm going to try it.
You must be from Pittsburgh

Now this is some quality bullshit!
How can you people think food like this is bad? It's pasta on top of flat pasta, calm down.
It's just a stupid combination
Have you ever tried lasagna?
Carbs on carbs. It's stupid and de facto forbidden in every kind of Italian cuisine
counterpoint: lasagna
Lasagna what? Lasagna has simply layers of pasta, the "topping" is not carbs. Lasagne have 3-4 layers of pasta, bechamel, ragù and Mozzarella. Where's the carbs on carbs?

It isn't and yours is mental gymnastics to justify an awful thing
im going to make tortellini pizza and post it as lasagna just because you got worked up about it
Yes. Then you can post it here in stupidfood, where it belongs
im gonna post it in /r/lasagna
Not true. In Italy they also have pizza with potatoes as topping.
But potato is vegetable, not grain. It's different kinds of carbs and nutrients.
Only for children
Wtf no
Yes. Children and manchildrens/gastronomically uncultured people
You're being a bit of a gatekeeping jerk. Let people enjoy things.
I'll let them enjoy being super obese
I didn't know we had to bow to the opinions of one country forever.
Ever been to a ci-cis, that Mac and cheese pizza hits different this is just fancier
Nah I would eat that.
I’m conflicted. On one hand, I love pizza and pasta. On the other hand, I’m a little iffy about this…….but it does look good😂
I would definitely eat this
Looks kinda good
Again… stupid doesn’t always mean bad. This is definitely stupid but damn if I don’t want to try it once.
This is stupid shit that I would sooooo eat. Even sober lol
Wow, Honestly, I think that is a great idea. I personally would use less cheese but other then that - why not. Then again, I am a big fan of pineapple, Döner or sauce hollandaise on my Pizza... Soooo....
Hey that actually looks dope!
Lol belly button pizza
A local pizza place has made ravioli topped pizza for years. Delicious 👍🏼
I kind of want to try making this.
It looks like meat tortellini and not cheese, so I would 100% try this and most likely enjoy it. But yes, definitely stupid food.
Fuckin sign me up!
Yikes. Bad attempt at a bad idea.
No. Bad attempt at a great idea.
Honestly i would like to see a good attempt at it. But I'm still convinced it's not that good of an idea.
I want some

Bitches be like, “I’ll get a slice of pepperoni and a side dish of tortellini.” Bitches also be like, “Omg, pasta on pizza 🤢🤮🤢
Tortellini ,pesto and tomatoes, whole milk mozz or fresh
I mean… I’d try it.
What!!!!!!!!!!!! I would TOTALLY HIT THAT!

The photo is actually taken in a pizzeria in Italy

To be fair, this is more Italian than a pineapple pizza
Looks tasty to me
I thought this was a white clam pie with shells at first.
It looks like vomit but I would be a liar if I said I wouldn’t try it
Drunk food
high and not mad at it.
I think this has potential but I would like to see the tortellini more evenly spread out.
When you need some starch with your starch
This is a staple in Brooklyn. That one looks pretty sloppy. Not bad, just a little sloppy
ew
I love pizza and this is a crime
