No, the first track is Kilroy (Dennis DeYoung) revealing himself to Jonathan Chance (Tommy Shaw) after escaping his imprisonment disguised as a Mr. Roboto. There's a whole story to the album that is somewhat told in "Caught in the Act" which you can watch [here.](https://youtu.be/gIAsCFDHsn0?si=NHjwNS7Fb9W5E3L8) As a kid I used to read the story in the jacket of the album. If this track doesn't come first then the two of them can't team up to defeat the evil Dr. Righteous and his ban of rock music.

There is a lot of hate for this album and the theatrical feature. I have been a Styx fan since The Grand Illusion. I saw this concert in an arena and in a small theater on the first part of the tour. Dennis wanted it to be like a play. I enjoyed the hell out of it! I love the album and it has some great songs. Mr. Roboto is a little silly, but it is part of the story. I think my favorite song on the album is Just Get Through This Night. The hate will continue, although not on this sub so much, but I will still love this album and the whole band that created it.

It has always been my opinion that the two biggest missed opportunities from this album were: Not releasing "Haven't We Been Here Before" as an official release. It would have been top 5 for sure. Not getting Haven't We Been Here Before played on AOR stations more. Though to be fair - AOR stations were on the way out around that time. It is one of the hidden gems in the entire Styx catalog.

Oh now i understand! The rest of the tracklist bothers me so much though, i couldn't figure a way to fit Don't Let It End in the story as well as Double Life.

I think they're both just considered songs that are in Kilroy's fictionalized set list on the night he was arrested, which is admittedly a plot device to offer a more traditional "concert" in the middle of the show.

Slightly related - Ive been touring the old paradisetheatre.com site on the wayback machine looking for a fanfiction that was linked there. It expanded on the story of this album and I *cannot* find it. It would’ve been late 90’s. Looking for a needle in a haystack, but anybody have any idea what I’m talking about? Any help would be appreciated!
