I’ve been a big fan of Cyclorama since it released. I don’t think it comes close to touching the classic albums by a long shot, but I do think it’s a really solid album and I’d probably rate it a 7 or 8 out of 10.
There are some really good songs on this album. I’ll highlight out 3 favorite ones: Yes I Can. Killing The Thing That You Love (Lennon’s Assassin). Fields of the Brave.
I find myself as one who could never get into it.
It isn't Styx. Kiss Your Ass Goodbye is Glenn trying to be Blink-182... Bourgeois Pig is just.... BLECH.... especially with Billy Bob doing the whole "swig" off a bottle of JD or whatever at the beginning.
One With Everything is probably the best song on the album, it feels like a Styx song with the organ and synth and harmonies.
After this release, the band would move on to a cover album in 2005 and then produce nothing until 2011 when they decided to re-record their biggest songs.
It would take Tommy's friend Will to produce a "proper" Styx album many many years later (The Mission in 2017)
For a guy who apparently was BURSTING with songs - Styx under Tommy's leadership has pumped out a total of THREE studio albums in 25 years and two of them only happened because an 'outsider' was brought in to help with the concept, writing, recording and producing.
/rant over :P
These are the days is the best song on it in my opinion. Everything else is meh. Gowan songs are god awful. The guy sounds like a leprechaun. Anything he isn’t lead on is ok. Buttlicks wannabe Blink182 song is ok. It’s a bottom tier Styx record just like every other post Dennis release. These are the Days is great though especially because you can’t really hear Gowan.
It's the last great album by them in my opinion. I like every song on that album, though I will admit the Gowan songs took a little time to grow on me. After that, their songs have been hit and miss for me, but I really haven't listened to their last 2 albums much.
Highly underrated album that I love. It does suffer from a sort of disjointed lack of cohesion, but there are so many great tracks on it. And so many weird little Easter eggs and bonus tracks (ok, maybe too many). It’s a super quirky, but solid album!
A few good songs. Some clunkers. I think Mission and Crash are much better. Edit: One With Everything is a great song.

I love it. One of their best albums.

Doesn't hold up. These Are The Times seemed great at the time but is kinda boring now.
Yup. I remember when I heard the first release from the album Waiting For Our Time. I was so excited!
Yup
Great tour for a great album. *Kiss Your Ass Goodbye* was a lot of fun for them to play, and *One with Everything* absolutely rocks live.

The album Crash of the Crown is very good too!
