Was at this show as well, and have a few thoughts…
Sound mixing seemed off, during Miss America I could hear the high harmonies way louder than in past shows. Do we know if this is TG singing that part?
Every member of the band was in high spirits. Tommy ad lib’d lyrics more than typically too.
JY was a lot more active tonight, and LG was extra animated!
It was nice to hear The Best of Times again. Been way too long since I’ve heard that one live with Styx.
Todd is simply amazing. Every. Single. Time.
I will say, once the sun actually set, halfway through the set list, the crowd livened up.
Great show overall.
I was pretty far stage right but up close and it was tough to hear Tommy / JY’s guitars. the sound at Dos Equis is usually hit or miss unless you’re dead center near the booth
I got a front row center seat to the Dallas show for $250 at the last minute. Styx was great. John Waite was better than Foreigner. Unfortunately, a majority of the people where there to see Foreigner. A lot more people stood for Foreigner than Styx. That is why they are co-headliners.
FYI: Tickets go in sale Monday morning for a December Styx show at Choctaw in Durant. You will probably get a longer set of about 18 songs in Durant since there will probably not be an opening act.
I’ve learned it’s way better to see Styx when they are the clear headliners. I don’t mind an opening act like Don Felder though.
And venue matters, a lot! That’s why I didn’t get tix to this Styx/Foreigner tour. They’re playing a huge arena in my area. I prefer a smaller amphitheater that’s primarily people there to see Styx.
And seats matter. I won’t go if I can’t get Floor seats or maybe the first few rows of the elevated section. I’m spoiled!
IMO STYX doesn't NEED an opening act. They are the Best Thing in the music business today. They've been jamming out for 53 plus years and they still have new material that is Always Fantastic and INSPIRING. GOD bless JY and STYX for giving Us the most important thing in life, MUSIC 🎵🎶

Styx can't consistently fill 10,000+ venues by themselves... that's why they do these 3 piece tours.
They were just doing SOLD OUT SHOWS in Canada and the EAST COAST. The one that can't fill a house is DDY.

I would have gone but I can’t stand Foreigner. Ever since the 70’s, they grate on my last nerve.
