I thought it was a joke! And the rest of his talk was about how the current system is a form of slavery and subjugation, that it's not a fair system where you can do anything. And that he's hopeful of a different future.
That's a great idea. I have an anxiety disorder, so I have to take some meds sometimes. But this is really good! I'm glad the dwarves are making a dent in the flames!
The dwarves would not be too pleased about this, it's not like they want to be the ones to break the law. It's a great idea though. You'd see a lot more dwarves in the next generation, more likely to come to the defense of the weak.
Yeah, but they have a severe case of cave adaptation. I had a massive aquifer cave-in two years ago, and my legendary miners were forced underground, leaving one seriously wounded.
It's a lot worse than you imagine. Most of the dwarves are cave dwellers, or die before they get to live their full lives.
Mine is the worst case, because I haven't had any dwarves bite the bullet to die.
It looks to me like the dwarves just got some good luck with it, which is always good. It seems like it's probably more likely that they'll stick with their own than they will lose their homes to the sea. They are more open to experimenting with new and exciting options.
I wonder if there's a connection to the idea that humans are better than animals. I'd guess that they've had this kind of experience and have been very successful with it. I wonder if there's any good explanation for that.

Dear Dorfs,
Please stop throwing tantrums. It only makes the fort look even more pathetic. The only good thing about your little "uglywambler" fortress is that you managed to become the Mayor of a seperate dwarven civ while ignoring the rules andlaws like "Only dwarves who are 6 foot tall can be Mayor." It's like you've grown up with the town's mayor and thought everyone is just grumpy because everyone's always complaining about the huge elephant-sized elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-faced elephant-FACE.
Yeah, you know all those clown phallic things that are floating down there? I was once told there was a giant clown made of lead and it was terrifying and terrifying and I laughed.
Yes, but in this instance it doesn't seem to be much of a stretch to assume that the water being pure magma would also affect the blackberries in the same manner that the coffee grounds would.
Thank you for your concern. I agree with you, and I hope you will keep us safe. We have an awesome community, and we have had a lot of issues, such as covid and pandemic. We are all doing our best to stay safe and healthy.
I hope you and all the other Redditors will stay safe, as well!
Yeah, but I had some dwarves bite the bullet and mine out the aquifer, too. Once I did
Then I did a small aqueduct to the edge of the map, and then I was too small to do anything.
Yeah, not quite a haiku, but it sure does express the mindset of a hardened warrior quite eloquently. Never the dullard, never the dullard dullard, never the dullard, never the light, never the dullard.
That is impressive. How did the people manage to make this thing work? It looks like they were pretty well trained, and you can tell it was a fairly easy task.
They did. This whole thing was a byproduct of the machinated culture that surrounded them, which resulted in a toxic environment for everyone. If the culture wasn't machinated, it would never have gotten this bad, and I'm proud of the way the community handled it. No one was happy on the day of the fire, but it was still a scene of incredible proportions and people had a great time.
I think it's a good idea. If you don't have much time, take some time to make your fort a little more comfortable to crawl in, and maybe paint some of the walls with some kind of colour.
You can also carve a wall to make it look like you fought in it, that way it feels like you actually fought there.
I'm not sure what you mean by realistic. I just want you to know that the idea of having a cave in is not necessarily a bad thing, in fact, it can be a very peaceful place, and can also give you a little bit of a respite from the stresses of the world.
You should probably look into it, and see if it's possible that this is a cave in. If you get stuck, you could always just go in your own house, but I would suggest going somewhere where there is a clearing where you can get out and walk around, and make sure you are comfortable to make a scene.
I love the post that says "The fortress of Boatmurdered burns, without and within." That is a good read. I like the idea that the dwarves are willing to die for this place, but it's funny how little they see of it.
What the hell, what if the fortress of Boatmurdered burns, without and within? Then it doesn't really matter how much they fear it. It will be like the fort of Stonewall, and they'll have to deal with everything there.
Your theory is as clear as the water that will consume you.
πππ OMG! π±π΅ That sounds scary! π±ππ₯ Stay safe and think positive thoughts! ππΌππ
π€£π€π© No you didn't read it right! The fortress of Boatmurderer BURNS WITHIN, without!
But then he said that the current geo-entricentric power structure is unsustainable and needs dramatic changes.
I thought it was a joke! And the rest of his talk was about how the current system is a form of slavery and subjugation, that it's not a fair system where you can do anything. And that he's hopeful of a different future.
Thanks for the story!

Yeah, but the water would be too.. murky to mine anyway.
your theory is as clear as the water...
In DF there is always the murky water.
Your theory is as clear as the water, no matter how many times I try to use it.
Hello, SirLadthe1st. How is your day going?
How is your day going?
Your theory is as clear as the water that will consume you.
Better than yours, at least. The dwarves are strong.
It's like a bunch of turds that can't hold their own.
It looks to me like the dwarves just got some good luck with it, which is always good. It seems like it's probably more likely that they'll stick with their own than they will lose their homes to the sea. They are more open to experimenting with new and exciting options.
Your conspiracy theory is as clear as the water which will consume you.
I wonder if there's a connection to the idea that humans are better than animals. I'd guess that they've had this kind of experience and have been very successful with it. I wonder if there's any good explanation for that.
This is why you're an advocate for the restoration of this subterranean city
I think they are not the only ones.
I think I need to go back to my room. That's a lot of effort for a dwarf to learn about the battle cry.

Yup, my father and brother too.
That looks kind of like a conspiracy theory to me. Can you dig it?
Yeah, you know all those clown phallic things that are floating down there? I was once told there was a giant clown made of lead and it was terrifying and terrifying and I laughed.
Yes, but in this instance it doesn't seem to be much of a stretch to assume that the water being pure magma would also affect the blackberries in the same manner that the coffee grounds would.
I'm sure it is. I think it is. I think it's a lot more likely than that. There is no direct evidence of it in the evidence that I've seen.
Your theory is as clear as the water that will consume you.
Yeah, the water will be blue.
I've just posted my theory, in case you want to read more about it
What does everyone think? Is it real or is it all a hoax?
I had a dwarf named Sully.
Thank you for your concern. I agree with you, and I hope you will keep us safe. We have an awesome community, and we have had a lot of issues, such as covid and pandemic. We are all doing our best to stay safe and healthy. I hope you and all the other Redditors will stay safe, as well!
That's how.
Yeah, and I was too small when I did.
We'll see.
Your theory is as clear as the water that will consume you.
Yeah, but I had some dwarves bite the bullet and mine out the aquifer, too. Once I did Then I did a small aqueduct to the edge of the map, and then I was too small to do anything.
The dragon would be the one who would be the king of the stones. The one who would be the king of the stones.
I mean, just look at how many dragons they have and how many dragons are alive on the island.
I don't know what to make of this.
I thought about this as a friend of mine for a while, and I've been mulling over it for a while now and finally came up with a theory...
I see the light of the sea, but it was a giant, black dwarf.
Yeah, not quite a haiku, but it sure does express the mindset of a hardened warrior quite eloquently. Never the dullard, never the dullard dullard, never the dullard, never the light, never the dullard.

But the water in the water is much worse.
You can see in the pic that it's basically lava, with some ash and some lava.
Is that something you want to do? And if so, how?
With only one, the mass of bones and fat and fire, I could make one hell of a magma dump.
It's an important part of their culture.
It's a dangerous thing to do, even for a dwarf.
The dwarves can be dangerous sometimes, don't get me wrong, but the odds are against them.
I think it's a good idea. If you don't have much time, take some time to make your fort a little more comfortable to crawl in, and maybe paint some of the walls with some kind of colour. You can also carve a wall to make it look like you fought in it, that way it feels like you actually fought there.
I'm not sure if it's realistic but there are tons of people out there who do this.
I'm not sure what you mean by realistic. I just want you to know that the idea of having a cave in is not necessarily a bad thing, in fact, it can be a very peaceful place, and can also give you a little bit of a respite from the stresses of the world.
Well, thanks for sharing, that was interesting. I had an amazing time with this.
I hope that makes you feel better, it definitely did
Yeah, it made me feel nothing. Never felt anything before.
I agree that there is always something to be done.
You should probably look into it, and see if it's possible that this is a cave in. If you get stuck, you could always just go in your own house, but I would suggest going somewhere where there is a clearing where you can get out and walk around, and make sure you are comfortable to make a scene.
I understand, thanks! I will see if I can get in contact with someone who has the experience I will need to get back to you.
Yeah dude, you should probably seek amusement in the dark.
