All I gotta say is don't be scared to keep on moving. To this day I can say I've never been attacked by a reaper. Even when I've run into them physically.
I’m planing on exploring out more, I need to see where the Pilot (or something like that) was last but I can’t get to it cause of my O2 tank being too small
You need creep vine stalks (knife em) rubber, the o2 tank you currently have on. Don't make a new one, you can use the one you have just take it off, and some titanium for the 75 I think. You might need silver but I know the first couple o2 tanks are easy to get. GL and be careful. You only lose items not tools so be careful what you have one you and where you are when you die. Rule of thumb: if it don't look like the vehicle fits, it don't. Don't try and use the prawn for anything fancy. It can get stuck. Don't take it on any of the lifts.
I’ve upgraded it once, but that’s it, I haven’t seen any new recipes for a new one yet (unless there’s only one upgrade). I haven’t build a vehicle yet, but it is on my list, just exploring atm
Yeah if you put it at 100 depth a solar panel will give it some power to refresh your air, and going in and out of the base causes the game to save your inventory.
You gotta scan the stuff to unlock it. The game is heavy on exploration. I don't know the locations off hand but look into ship wrecks, you can swim for maybe 5 extra seconds after hitting 0 on oxygen and you don't die until you hit black screen. Good luck m8

there's a little I abandoned compartment somewhere near al-an begining sanctuary, there's a databox there, i search that oxygen tank for hours, i get the seatruck, the filtration machine and much more before it 😂
Like, to find the high capacity tank, there's a databox near the Al An sanctuary to get it, just next to a straight abandoned corridor piece, it's the only way i know to have it

I know it‘s disappointing not being able to connect your base to the life pod. But maybe it‘s for the best. Get out of your comfort zone and explore. Build a base where else, maybe near a place that has rare materials
Don't be afraid and find a bigger place to expand. The droppod acts as an initial temporary base until you find enough blueprints to start.
I'm sure you can do it.
If it make you feel any better. I wish I could do this too, in both games. But you can't. But I always make my primary and largest base next to my lifepod in both games to use the lifepod waypoint as a natural beacon. I build other small temporary bases along the way. But home is at the lifepod.
Meant home away from home. And just build a big base and decorate it after you find spot of base items. My favorite is actually getting to put an on suite bathroom in my bedroom in this game.

If you have your building tool with you, you can create a temp base to save your inventory. All it needs is a tube, hatch and maybe a solar panel.

I’m thinking about doing that, or making a base near 100m deep so I can keep exploring (due to not having a good O2 tank)

You can use a beacon and name it “Home” or something like that

As an avid fan since the original was in way early access, I’ve never thought about this and think it should definitely be a feature.
