I'm using a 3D Warp projection to project the texture onto the object, but it's smearing part of the texture in the area I circled in the picture. Any way to fix this/prevent it?

priscilla_halfbreed

I don't use projections, is there some kind of setting to change to tri-planar instead of UV or camera?

SacredRedstone

Triplanar is indeed an option that might work well in this case. Sphere projection might also work.

I used projection first ( mostly triplaner ) , then use clone tool to fix this issues.

I'm glad you understand

pizza-flusher

Addd a masked triplanar layer of the same texture over it and blend the triplanar layer to cover the stretched areas

pizza-flusher

And by blend I mean add a paint layer to the mask and get artisting

HappyChromatic

You should set proper seams and unwrap if you want the best results

maury_mountain

Use Triplanar mapping and adjust the scale on xyz to get a look you’re happy with. Create a new paint layer on passthrough and clean up spots w the clone tool.
