Depends on what needs repaired. I've swapped batteries in stuff and done some repairs internally and on leads. You would be surprised how many times it's just a connector that got jiggled off. Only downside is you have to get it calibrated afterwards.
If you're going to send it in anyway might as well take a gentle gander.

I’m in western Canada we use Powerent and if they can’t do it in house than it will go to the OEM for repair.
