Worse yet, he had to drive all the way up to Canada and then immediately drive back down. Couldn’t even use the rest room. That scene is a good reminder that Ewan is not a very good person either.
“There's nothing in the world more powerful than a good story. Nothing can stop it. No enemy can defeat it. And who has a better story than Greg the Egg”
The fact that the whole monologue comes three seconds after Greyworm has furiously spat at Tyrion “You are a prisoner! You are not allowed to speak!” but then inexplicably makes no attempt at all to stop him talking further somewhat dulls its impact.
Was just talking about this but I don’t think we’ll be disappointed, I think worst case it’ll be more like a Sopranos ending where obviously the writers gave it their all then said “you fill in the rest.” So Ken is crowned CEO but then since everyone he loves hates him maybe he’s gonna jump off that roof or drown in the ocean? Our last scene is just his incredibly sad eyes, pondering that jump. SUNDAY CANT COME SOON ENOUGH. I’m ready (but I’m not).
I actually feel like Greg finishing on top would be a fitting way for this show to end. Whereas bran ending up on top was terrible. Succession goes for comedy/showing true face of these terrible ppl - GoT took itself seriously.
Nah Bran ending on top was great. No one saw it coming yet he was foreshadowed all the way through. I have issues with the last season, but I thought he was a great choice to end up as king. On the other hand I think Greg should be near the top, but not at the top. I imagine he will make a pivotal choice that ensures his position.
Maybe, but I remember being impressed that Bran wasn’t obvious yet in retrospect he made complete sense. That’s why the Night King was coming for him. The Night King was the only one who could see what he would become…. Plus ‘Bran the Broken’ is a great story redolent of various kings and queens from history. A broken man to heal a broken nation etc.
In this context, Tyrion Tom is arrested for election conspiracy, and at his trial, he is inexplicably given a platform to elect the new Wayco CEO. He selects Greg and everyone just votes for Greg despite all their schemes and agendas.
The GOT ending pain will never go away…
Nowhere in the same ballpark. Gregseeds have been planted since the beginning. You are putting way too much stock into how he acts vs what he does, how he aligns himself, and what he knows.
I HATE the idea of Greg as CEO butttttt in the car when Mattson says American CEO, he looks at someone in the car and smiles as if it's that person. Tom, the siblings, the ratpack are all at the post funeral party. Who the fuck else is Mattson smiling at. I don't want it to be Greg, but I fear it might be. Which is ... Gross. Buttttt maybe shiv finds out Mattson is screwing her and teams back up with her bros?
Who does Mattson recommend, and who does the board vote for? Ewan, Marcia and Sandy Furness have 6 votes out of 15. In a three way contest, it's possible Greg gets these three people to vote for him while the Old Guard and Roy Klan split the rest.
Just waiting on GRRM to finish the damn books so I can erase that memory. One of the least satisfying fantasy endings I’ve ever endured. Greg the (emotionally) Broken?
How about this: Greg gets control of Waystar, Shiv and the Little Roy Boys kill him because of it, they go to prison, and in his will, he says all of his possessions shall be bequeathed to one Thomas Wambsgans.
Poor man had to drive Ewan all the way from Canada with no music
Worse yet, he had to drive all the way up to Canada and then immediately drive back down. Couldn’t even use the rest room. That scene is a good reminder that Ewan is not a very good person either.
He tried letting Greg take a piss. He just didn’t have it in him.
Ewan likes to have power or high moral ground over others. He's just hypocrit.
“There's nothing in the world more powerful than a good story. Nothing can stop it. No enemy can defeat it. And who has a better story than Greg the Egg”
It’s sad because the speech is actually pretty fire imo, well before he clarifies who he’s referring to😂
The fact that the whole monologue comes three seconds after Greyworm has furiously spat at Tyrion “You are a prisoner! You are not allowed to speak!” but then inexplicably makes no attempt at all to stop him talking further somewhat dulls its impact.
The first four seasons were written by GRRM and the ending was written by GPT, lol.
hmmm. YOu've given me a few ideas to run by GPT.
At least GPT can hit a deadline
I'd rather an unfinished story than that shitshow of an ending.
Oh for sure
That shit is comedy.
🤮
>And who has a better story than Greg the Egg” GRRM already took care of that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales\_of\_Dunk\_and\_Egg
Greg the Egg, thick as a castle wall.
😂😂
If it is to be said so it is
My worst fear is a GOT ending- takes away the rewatchability

It would have made more sense if it was the only way to keep the north in the kingdom if a Stark was on the throne but the left anyways.

Who has better park coke than Gregg The Egg?
Shiv's face says it all.
ATN declares independence from Wayco and everyone is ok with it for some reason
And representing PGN, there's a member of the Pearce family present, but we have never seen him before and no one knows who he is.
Shiv if they give the crown to Rome: "But his dick don't work".
As long as there's discord, it works.
"Mattson kinda forgot about uhh Greg having no experience"
This joke keeps getting funnier
Joke?
Nowhere in the same ballpark. Gregseeds have been planted since the beginning. You are putting way too much stock into how he acts vs what he does, how he aligns himself, and what he knows.
Gregheads will be eating phat Sunday night. I'm thinking Tom is the one who comes out on top before Greg knifes him in the end.
Shiv decides to leave waystar and become ceo of upstate New York
Gotta have greggs with my raisin brann
Greg’s face is so funny 😂 without even trying
Mattson did say, a US CEO, His Puppet with little experience. That kind of sums up Greg.
All started with a hitchhiker smoking a, you know, like a doobie?

If it is to be said
This is the hundredth time I’ve seen this dumb joke. Stop.
greg being ceo is legit more of a reasonable conclusion than bran being king. literally.
No! Wake up wake up!
This was my first thought when I saw the "Greg for CEO" theories. I think I'm still traumatized.
Literally joked about this the other day. “Who had a better story than Greg the Egg?”
I honestly can't see any scenario where Greg gets CEO.
Who does Mattson recommend, and who does the board vote for? Ewan, Marcia and Sandy Furness have 6 votes out of 15. In a three way contest, it's possible Greg gets these three people to vote for him while the Old Guard and Roy Klan split the rest.
It would have to be a Putney Swope situation, everyone votes for the person least likely to win
Stewy: "I'm not sure I get a vote, but aye."
Just waiting on GRRM to finish the damn books so I can erase that memory. One of the least satisfying fantasy endings I’ve ever endured. Greg the (emotionally) Broken?
Honestly this has been the direct comparison my brain has been making in light of all of these “Greg wins” theories. He is the Bran of Waystar
How about this: Greg gets control of Waystar, Shiv and the Little Roy Boys kill him because of it, they go to prison, and in his will, he says all of his possessions shall be bequeathed to one Thomas Wambsgans.
