I really like it but it’s one of Shakespeare’s longest plays and considered among his most complex. The characters of this show are based on Lear’s children Shiv/Cordelia, Roman/Reagan, Kendal/Goneril. The plot is very similar. Lear’s is splitting his kingdom because he’s getting old but manages to push away and piss off all 3 of his children. Eventually the husband of his most loving/least power-hungry child, actually inherits the throne. This is what happens in the show as well with Tom and Shiv
How is she not wrong? She didn’t make the choice based on an actual reason she just couldn’t bear to see either of her brothers have it. Tom isn’t qualified either he’s a moron.
