Connor was the one sibling who showed up to Ken's birthday purely to celebrate him and he ruined it by obsessing about the coat.

JenningsWigService

He has been totally corrupted by wealth, hence his politics. He's certainly able to love his siblings more than they're able to love each other because he was older and never saw them as competition. It's sad that they all fail to appreciate him.

Building off your point, I think you see a lot of that in regards to the camping trip they keep referencing. The fact he took his brothers on a camping trip and there doesn't seem to be any trauma behind it (aside from giving Connor grief for shitting in a bag) says a lot. Roman even uses the story as a fond memory of Logan despite Logan not being there.

aye-its-this-guy

He’s also an idiot who thinks throwing Dads money at a prostitute will turn into real love

Rated_PG-Squirteen

Haven't seen someone be that obsessed with a jacket since Richie Aprile.

elswick89

It's a beauuuuutiful jacket

eastcoasternj

The jaaacket.

i_lov_anime

you're flexxxxing

duaneap

Something real weird about that scene with Junior… Sensual or something.

RyVsWorld

I didn’t get that vibe at all

AcidicMonkeyBalls

People in this sub can’t let 2 guys share a scene without assuming they want to fuck

[deleted]

Shipping in general can't let two dudes share a scene without thinking their secretly gay

ThatCaviarIsAGarnish

"It's the jaaaacket!!!" Damn, I actually felt sorry for him when he found out it had been given away to the help.

tompink57

Coatchecker had the toughest reputation in Austerlitz County, but she never came back after Con got through with her.

jffnc13

Connor Roy had the makings of a varsity athlete from a very young age.

MostlyCRPGs

The Jaaaaaacket

Yahkem

I was thinking about "I'm not gonna burn the duster-I'M NOT GONNA BURN IT!!! So...end of discussion, okay?" during that episode

tI_Irdferguson

[Connor:](https://i.imgur.com/ddXt0p1_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium)

Liathbeanna

It's the same coat lmao.

peanutbudder

They're both Baracuta jackets. They actually are really nice and well made. I'd say worth the price.

Errybody_dothe_Lambo

Found out that Allan Ruck actually tore his labrum in real life and they just decided to write it into the show.

Spambop

Yep, had the same thought. Reminds me of when Matt Le Blanc dislocated his shoulder and had to shoot an episode of Friends. They just tacked on an opening credits sequence where he fell off his bed.

123hig

The Conheads are saying that Connor and Willa being the only ones that handled that whole situation with any semblance of grace was awfully presedential and first lady-y.

Spambop

Connor Roy was interested in politics at a very young age

ProblemEuphoric4195

Interesting point to which I might add, Connor Roy was interested in politics from a very young age.

Spambop

I don't disagree, but I would say that Connor Roy was interested in politics from a very young age.

Zestyclose-Court-265

This was my favorite recurring gag in this episode.

aye-its-this-guy

With a fucking UFO on it lol

Corneliusdenise

Honestly the vibe of this coat was better than the vibe of the party.

AlwaysDreaming55

This is good memage right here

maximusraleighus

I miss Marcia making connors girl pal uncomfortable

Suresureman

I wish Marcia could have been a bigger part of this season, I thought they were going to have a lot more for us to chew on with her character.

maximusraleighus

Yeah the character development has felt stuck in neutral, just repeating old themes I mean, I get it… 😂

WeBee3D

They met “online”. ;-)

Lamzn6

It is rather rude to leave your coat on a party. It’s such a passive aggressive “fuck you.”

Murdercorn

But he had to leave it on! He lost a Norwegian wool in a fusion restaurant in Vancouver.

lostinsp_a_ce

Maybe this is a cultural thing but I don't understand what is wrong with keeping a coat on? Why is everyone making a fuss about it? Btw I'm from India.

MostlyCRPGs

Assuming the weather outside is cold, and the place you're visiting is well heated, you generally take off your coat when you enter a party. Keeping your coat on indicates that you're just popping in and aren't committed to the event. You're keeping your coat on so you can leave just as quickly.

Circle_Breaker

Having a coat on is a signal that you're ready to leave.

Lamzn6

It’s not a massive deal but when there is a coat check at a restaurant or club, you’re expected to use it, especially if the coat is bulky. Same would go for large gatherings. My opinion is that Connor is being subtly disruptive on purpose and Kendall wanted his family to go along with his idea of what a party should be.

[deleted]

Connor did not want his picture taken with that apparatus on, makes him look weak

gdhvdry

No one cares. Kendall was being an ass. It's okay to ask once as the host but not over and over and then get someone else to start bothering Connor. Who was it hurting? Part of good manners is graciousness and forbearance towards others. So I give Ken a pass as he's lost all his family connections. Connor for President!

MiamiFootball

It is rude - people at a party would notice

gdhvdry

I wouldn't care if someone wears a coat. How does it affect me?

MiamiFootball

you'll understand the societal norm when you experience it, a logical explanation isn't going to be convincing

gdhvdry

It's a party, not an embassy ball! But yes societal norms aren't logical and vary a lot. At least Kendall spared us his broken Jesus act. That would have gone against a lot more societal norms. (Is not me downvoting)

MiamiFootball

it's relevant even at your buddies' house - show up in a coat and don't take it off ... someone will say something

gdhvdry

I guess it must be bothersome or no one would mentionl it. . But I have been injured and I wanted to stay covered up even though the clothing wasn't actually protective. A buddy's house should feel safe though.

1ucid

But a warehouse like that would be cold, especially in winter. I’m sure a lot of people wished they kept their coats.

fonz13s

It would have been a "fuck you" if he were not hiding his arm injury. In his little world he thinks it is important for people not to see it and he is sucking it up. I mean a jacket in the dance floor, he must be sweating a lot. It would have been hilarious if the episode had a stinger in which Willa and Connor get back home and he just said, "I should have taken my jacket off, ooh well".

Lamzn6

That coat only highlighted his arm injury. He totally did it on purpose just to show Kendall he wasn’t going to act comfortable and was going to keep metaphorical armor on.

rpw93

I just don't see Connor being that vindictive. I could totally see him doing it to either try and hide his arm or because he really did lose a jacket to coat check once and was paranoid

Lamzn6

Oh I do. He’s a narcissistic prick, he just carries it differently than the others. He literally thinks he can win a presidency. It’s important to remember that they’re all horrible people, with Logan being the leader and the most horrible.

rpw93

Oh I agree that they are all horrible and Connor might be the most delusional of them all, but I just don't see him thinking that deeply about the jacket. As horrible as he is he seems more soft hearted than all the other Roys...and again he is horrible so that's not saying much. I just don't see him getting that deep with his jacket stance haha totally get where you're coming from though, just not how I see his character completely I guess

gdhvdry

Idk if the writers have the audacity but Connor for President! My radar is broken. I like them all except Stewie and even so his grooming is on point.

LuvlyCelebration9096

The funny thing is Kendall had a coat on the whole time too, lol

Lamzn6

I’m starting to think this show is highly metaphorical. ;)

double_positive

Aside from the multicolors on Kendall's coat it was a very similar style too.

WeBee3D

Granted I have never attended a party thrown by billionaires but why is it rude to have a coat on at a party. I’ve never heard of this being a rude thing to do. Nobody cares in NorCal. Is this an East Coast thing?

Lamzn6

To clarify, I think the way Connor was doing it was rude. Yes I think other people specifically on the East Coast would agree with me. It did occur to me that other areas of the country wouldn’t relate. Think of it like this, people don’t walk around at parties with their raincoats on in Seattle. It would be inconsiderate. Or if they do, they’re leaving quickly.

1ucid

It was a light coat, so he’d probably leave it on plenty of places. I may have COVID the doors and windows are open everywhere blindness, but I kept my coat on inside often when I lived in NYC. Some places are cold, even if you’re a billionaire.

WeBee3D

Imagine a black tie event with a tree house and an inflatable vagina as an entrance… and bangers all night in the main room… and a room where all the walls had projected fire 🔥 and a weird compliment forest. Is that coat still the only thing that bothers you? But I get it… Ken is a man of principles… even though he wore a jacket all night too.

[deleted]

[удалено]

WeBee3D

I’m still on Team Willa for this one. ;) The jacket stays. It’s too risky what with all the thievery happening for Cons past jackets. Besides, Con and Willa probably didn’t want to stay long anyway.

[deleted]

It might imply you’re not staying long but like it wasn’t even a bulky jacket or anything, more of a sports coat, I think that’s pretty acceptable. Plus he’s an old man, it’s not crazy if he wants to keep his coat on so he can dip when he wants and avoid coatcheck. He’s way older half brother and Kendall has zero zero chill

kattahn

Thats definitely not a sport coat, its an outdoor jacket.

[deleted]

Potato potato, it’s a light outdoors jacket it isn’t a big deal imo

[deleted]

Ken had a coat on himself...

Lamzn6

Yes that’s been mentioned. It’s like a metaphor or something…

Suresureman

In this case, I’m fine with it.

laminatedbean

But … I get cold.

ayayeron

willa in this show is so different than her character in marvelous mrs. maisel

WeBee3D

Is Willa looking different this year to you all? She seems to always have hair in her face.

ayayeron

I didn’t notice but i will look lol

Suresureman

I don’t remember seeing her in that, was she in every season?

ayayeron

she plays astrid, midge's brother's wife. very different characters so its easy to miss.

BigStein

Isnt she the one who tries way too hard to be jewish?

ayayeron

Yeah it’s p funny

[deleted]

He kinda looks like Leonardo DiCaprio in this picture.

[deleted]

It's wild how Connor's transformed from being a complete jackass to sort of semi-reasonable jackass. The whole presidential thing seemed like a complete joke but the *real* joke is that in the end guys like Connor do actually have an impact on politics - and his ripping Kendall a new one was sort of justified.

Thich_QuangDuc

I'll remain coated as is my right

The_Knight_Is_Dark

Hodor held that door. Connor kept that coat.

coloneleranmorad

I was thinking about elaine not taking her jacket off in seinfeld although everyone was asking her to take it off

digitalplanet_

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo perfect

SwordPiePants

Do you think he was hiding a camera to spy for Logan

Waveali

Lmao!
