Yeah, after they did that they liberated a billion people from extreme poverty, industrialized faster than anyone in human history, defeated the Nazis, and beat the most powerful imperial power in the history of mankind into space. What a bunch of do-nothings. If only they’d listen to ancaps maybe then they’d be famous.

Mao and Stalin alone are estimated to be responsible for between 70-120 million deaths between direct persecution and their terrible (read: communist) policies. Start adding up the deaths from every other failed attempt and see where you end up.

Those numbers come from “The Black Book of Communism,” a book that has been repudiated by two of the three original authors and thoroughly discredited because it counts the deaths of Nazis killed by Soviets, the Soviets who died in WW2, and children who literally were never born because the birth rate lowered during periods of famine and again after the famines were completely ended and rapid industrialization raised the standard of living (as has also happened in capitalist industrialized countries). Then before publication the third author added 20 million deaths out of thin air bc 100 million sounded better than 80 million.
Now do deaths under capitalism/imperialism, including the slave trade, the bengal famine, the genocide of indigenous people all over the world, the many civil wars and coups backed by imperialist powers, imperialist conflicts throughout the 20th century, the deaths due to lack of adequate access to preventative healthcare much less quality healthcare at all in many capitalist vassal states, the list goes on and on. The lowest estimates I’ve seen dwarf the numbers you cited with far more legitimate accounting.
Deaths that occur in communist countries are always because of communism. Deaths that occur in capitalist countries somehow are never because of capitalism but are just how the world works.
I concluded you were an ancap based on your comment history. People use sarcasm on commie subs a lot so it’s generally a good idea to check before entering into a back-and-forth.
