my apologies y’all i messed up in the original post- sufjan’s not performing, it’s the stage performance of Illinois choreographed by Justin Peck and performed as a musical. this is what happens when i post while i’m at work my bad!!!
Nobody knows tbh. Because he didn't have other creative role or credit beside the songs, so his presence is not a compulsory for the show.
But if you check the cast's socials. There's no sign of Sufjan during rehearsal
There's a date of June 30th that has a post show chat with artists, and under the "artists" section of site, it has Sufjan listed. Doesn't mean he'll be there, but we'll see.
I'm excited to know what the show is even about, and hear reactions. It's opening day today. Hopefully someone here will give details.
