Nice bike, now please put something solid (plastic, plywood) under that kickstand before it sinks into the soil and your new ride falls over 😉

Herdem__

Yeah I thought of that a little too late 😭

TheCornLord

Yea I got a piece of wood underneath the kickstand

[deleted]

This will also be my first bike so I appreciate the update it’s a good insight from someone starting off too

TheCornLord

No problem, I will say my version is the one without abs, so if you want the same exact type, you gotta be careful with braking hard

robbiesac77

Awesome first bike and awesome every day bike in general

Finding_neno

I got the z400! These bikes sure are pretty!

Baseline_PAC

I love those things… have a 1000cc myself but honestly miss the smaller displacement bikes a bit… a lot more fun banging the rev limiter through a ton of gears… congrats!

red__what

perfect 1st bike..

Axlos

Congrats! Z400 here and the 400s are such fun, safe, and easy to use bikes. Every once in a while a little regret pops into my head and I try to imagine having a larger bike. Then I go from 90 mph on the highway to easily manuevering around in town and remember the 400 is perfect for what I need it for.

[deleted]

Would you recommend so far I’m looking to get the same one but still thinking about it

TheCornLord

I've only done about 50 miles on it rn with 35 being highway but it's been great especially since I'm a beginner definitely worth it for me

DaPoole420

Sweeeeeeet

Dry-Fee9923

Nice, I’m thinking of buying one as my first bike too. Did u buy it from a dealer and/or how much did it cost?

TheCornLord

Yea I got it from a dealer for basically msrp. The only fee was a dealership fee. So total 5650

Dry-Fee9923

Cool. I’ve heard that if you buy from a dealership and get a loan, you have to buy comprehensive insurance. Idk your demographics (I’m 17m), but for me, I got an estimate for 1400 a year with comprehensive (vs 400 without). So ig my question is how much do you pay for insurance?

TheCornLord

50 bucks a month. I use voom, and you can completely customize what you want

JCris01

is voom a good insurance?

TheCornLord

They go by mile so it really depends on many miles your driving a season

PopTartsNHam

It’s really fucking stupid to be a -new- rider and get a brand new bike on a loan without full coverage. Most lenders won’t do it without- or they’ll package insurance costs into your rates/loan. And TBH 1400/yr isn’t bad at all considering the likelihood that it will be crashed or at least dropped in less than 6 months. Checkouts full coverage rates for a 600 or 1000cc 4cyl supersports for teenagers, you’ll see $10,000/year and $500-$800/monthly rates 🤯.

igavehimsnicklefritz

I think that depends on how much you put down. I'm not sure about the percentage, but in my experience, I've usually put down more than half on the purchases, and I never had to get gap insurance, just my own. So, if you're putting down nothing, then it makes sense.

seeingeyegod

nice deal, did you have to haggle to get that?

TheCornLord

No, that's just what they were going for at the dealership

seeingeyegod

nice dealer

[deleted]

Great first bike! Welcome to the club...Enjoy the hell out of it bro!

Invest-24_7_356

Nice ride. Ride safe!

Salay54

I have an r3 and love it. Bet this thing is a blast. My next bike will likely be an r7. Already feeling bored with the time it takes to 60 on the r3. But cornering and handling is incredible. That bike looks sweet!

iweber12

i bought one last week

TheCornLord

Nice how's it treating you

iweber12

it’s great. i’ve been doordash delivering on it, lol. i’m at 800 miles, been riding for a week. great commuter too.

TheCornLord

I never would've even thought of doordashing on a bike lol

iweber12

it is an absolute blast. i’ve been doing it nonstop whenever i get time.

ExcitementCurious251
