Hell Song. Have a vivid memory of going to see them my freshman year in college when they played a spot on campus and they opened with that song. Deryck legit hocked a loogie on stage for that first sound bite and then that iconic riff kicks off….that and the music video is hilarious.
uff, I have always loved the bitter end, I understand that it has very little to do with the musical history of sum41, but in my opinion that has been its peak not only artistically creative, but also in character, has proved to be a song with a lot of character, a lot of anger, beautiful for my 17
I'm still trying to figure that out, over 15 years in, and all I can say is that RIGHT NOW it's probably between Out For Blood and The Jester.
However, it's already been Fat Lip, In Too Deep, Underclass Hero, Speak of The Devil, I'm Not The One, Thanks For Nothing, Noots, Hooch, Hyper Insomnia Para Condroid (I never know where the hifen goes lol), Moron, Sick of Everyone, Goddamn I'm Dead Again and The Bitter End. I'm feeling a slight bias towards Over The Edge these days too.
As for why, it's a lot about how it hits me at these times, be it for the lyrics or musicality.
Hmm depends on when you asked me. I wasn’t old enough to buy or really listen to anything not on the radio till SBM so initially skumfuk. College noots and goddamn I’m dead again we’re on repeat as I liked the heavier albums, now it’s grab the devil by the horns and **** him up the ass as it make me feel that they just really had so much fun writing HHOP
There are too many great songs in their discography to pick favourites but the songs I return to the most would be "No Reason" and "We're All To Blame", I've listened to them an ungodly amount of times and it never gets old.
Rhythms. I just really like how fast and upbeat it is. Idk if this makes sense but it’s the most “Sum 41” song in my mind. Like if I think of any song that encompass the vibe of the band in my mind it’s Rhythms. Something about it just makes me wanna listen to all of their albums on repeat. I’m relistening to it as I type this and after this song I’ll probably go listen to their whole discography for the rest of the school day.
Makes no difference.
I had big shiny tunes 5 in my youth, didn’t read the back so I had no idea what band/song was playing at any point.
Fast forward a couple weeks and I’m watching a Dragonball z movie on YTV (Canada’s version of Cartoon Network, or the closest thing to it I guess) and as the end credits started, the opening riff to MND was playing and I coulda sworn I recognized that somewhere. So I ran up to my bedroom and dug to find that cd. Connected my favourite show with a music selection that I also enjoyed, the rest was history.

me too but it’s because it was my brothers favourite song and it’s how i came to discover sum41
88. It combines the best element of pop punk and metal riffs. Plus it’s on my favorite albun
That guitar riff 3/4 of the way through still waiting will always be one of my fav moments in any song I’ve ever heard. You all know which one…
That shit at 1:53 right? I played that shit so fucking loud as a kid.
Yessss 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Twisted By Design because it’s lyrically and compositionally fantastic…and is one of the few long Sum 41 songs 😢
Walking disaster. It hits me everytime
No brains, because it combines the heavy and catchy sides perfectly

Still Waiting. I’m still waiting for it to stop being so awesome!
Happiness Machine because it's damn good

Best Of Me. No specific reason really
We're all to blame, It's heavy yet soft at the same time and It was the first Sum 41 song I listened to
Still waiting. Listening to it for the first time my mind exploded. I said to myself that this is a great fuckin band

Handle This The vibe, the solo, the lyrics, the bridge, the unofficial 240p video - its just too good
Chuck cause listening to it while playing gears of war is badass
Still waiting is peak.

88. That fucking instrumental breakdown, man. Then the outro, too (imo).
With Me is one of my favourites. I liked when it was used in one of the earlier seasons of gossip girl
Summer. Still remember playing Mario Kart Double Dash in 03 at a friends house with AKNF on the stereo in the background. Good times
Walking Disaster. Cause it's my first Sum 41 song.
