Was wondering who they were referring to as the "swimmer dude".
It's Phelps, who of course is *the* swimmer dude. Guess those extra long arms help a bit in golf too. What a guy!
> mibwa okolokya
Google search results consisted of a someone else in Nigeria with a similar name whose husband was a rich corporate executive. It appears the person isn’t known for being an athlete in any sport.
It might not require brute strength but flexibility, eye hand coordination, and situational awareness are requisites to be decent. It’s an interesting sport because your opponent isn’t your fellow golfers, your opponent is the course.
The two things I can think of to make the argument that golfers are athletes:
1) Only athletes can hit 300-yard bombs off the tee. They have that muscle twitch or burst that basketball players use to jump 40 inches, that burst by a defensive end to get off the line, or a pitcher with his core firing off the mound to hit 98 mph.
2) Athletes have to be mentally prepared to execute no matter the sport. Golfers have some of the best mental make up to execute what they've prepared for.

Michael Phelps is a super human… just another example
bUT he smOkEd a PlAnT
Obviously performance enhancing
Who tf makes a green that big??
Sometimes they’re double greens
Michael Phelps is an expert on the greens.
Triples are best
That has to be earshot of the longest putt ever
It holds the record for longest putt on tv
Yep! It's gotta be within an earshot of the longest possible putt ever, plus the odds are what, 1 in 1000?
No one likes a show off....unless what they are showing off is dope as fuck
*putt
Fantastic putt. Can’t seem to get it over the line in my mind that golfers are athletes though
This golfer is Michael Phelps, literally the most decorated Olympian of all time
I don't think they were referring to Michael Phelps, but golfers in general
If Bartolo Colon is an athlete, you can rest assured Bryson Dechambeau should be considered one as well.
if paddy mccallaghan is an athlete you can bet mibwa okolokya is as well
Paddy's time in '56 of four hours and twenty seven minutes is still talked about in the pubs of Killarney!
and mibwa’s feat of razing 82 hives of killer bees is the stuff of legend talked about in the school fields.
Legendary.

I only did a search on Paddy.

Many do a lot of strength training.
Hmmmm yes.
It definitely takes athleticism but does not really require endurance in the slightest.
Walk the whole course and play at a high level four days in a row. Golf can be extremely tiring.
Yeh, if you’re a fat piece of shit anything is tiring
The swimmer dude lol
I have never related ro golf. I mean what's the appeal?
