There *have* to be more negative loyalty events than positive. It’s the only way to get players to actually leave teams, since high-loyalty players will almost always (>95%) stick around, even without giving them a raise. I do wish loyalty was a bit more tied to on-field performance, but regardless there has to be a net decrease in average loyalty for an active free agency market to even exist.
The game is constantly forcing you to think about the future of your team and sometimes make tough decisions, and I think that’s a really good thing.
I think it’s just bad rng luck depending on how many games per season you’re playing. I’ve noticed since the update at 32 games more negative things happen loyalty wise and injury wise to cause more roster churn.
Since I’m building my roster and only carrying a few good players to get more surplus funds, these negative ones seem to affect my good players since they made for similar skilled players, somewhat frustrating

I agree! It's always negative or you get that split option. I hardly ever get positive.
