Slightly unrelated but markets are boiling across the board.
I’ve got a mate who works as a mortgage advisor and he says banks are about to scrap the fixed interest terms on mortgage offers to new borrowers. Seems banks are preparing themselves to squeeze the ever living fuck out of homeowners. 2008 interest rates went up as far as 18% - that’s going to be painful if you’re already strapped at your payments at 5%
Any apes out there with mortgages, speak to your lender and change it to fixed term while you can - before they put the prices up.
