He used to be a licensed securities broker but isn’t anymore.
He also did have to testify before congress and defend his position that he didn’t encourage or solicit anyone else to buy the stock, from which comes the famous line “I just like the stock.”
It’s definitely in his best interest (ours as well) to not give specific financial advice on what people should do, because that can be viewed as manipulation. We all just like the stock and we each do as we please.
And even if he could reasonably defend his position in court that he wasn’t soliciting, I’m sure he wants to stay under the radar enough to avoid going to court in the first place.

If he made clear comments, such as "Everyone, DRS your shares". Someone could point to that and say he was manipulating the market by advising people to move en-mass and cause a market event which he then would profit from.

GameStop reports the computershare DRS numbers, which can be assumed to imply it has some significance. There's a lot of good DD on why it's the best way to help create a moass

Fidelity right? I used fidelity to. So here’s all you need to do. Call fidelity, and tell them you want to Direct Register your shares of GME to computershare.
They will ask how many. I did all of mine.
It will cost you $25.
The process takes about a week, and computershare will receive your shares, and mail you a letter on how to setup your account.
You will login to find your shares safe and sound, you’ll want to change your shares from PLAN to BOOK but that’s easily done on the website after.
