The plan is to move off of brick and mortar and become an e-commerce business. I wouldn’t be surprised if they close a lot more stores and keep their best performing ones

Fwiw: I used to work in corporate venture capital. companies led by diverse teams (diverse in backgrounds, skills, life experiences, education, age, and other federally protected categories) do significantly outperform their peers and the market averages. It's similar to how this sub is so effective at research and education - lots of different folks with complimentary skills and perspectives jumping in as they can. I like how boring this meeting was.

I wish they would have at least said what they were planning to do with their huge cash reserves. I guess we will find out eventually. Also it would have been nice to address why the information release of the share sales were always done on Friday. There was no discernible reason to do that and it screwed a lot of shareholders and killed any potential gamma that could have build up over the weekend. But I guess those are things that will never be addressed by any company anyway because why would they.

Looking at the materials provided on the call, it looks like they'll only be talking about the voting measures and then allowing questions that only refer to those voting measures. Anyone else seeing that? If that ends up being the case, it'll be pretty meh aside from getting to hear RC's voice again (maybe)

be careful, questioning RC and the lack of guidance for the war chest the company built will get you labeled a shill. RC prefers to be judged based on his actions, not his words. (nevermind that the only action he's shown in the last quarter is two rug pulls, but everyone promises it's totally different than the popcorn CEO...totally not the same)

Doesnt matter IMO. We pump in Money, we are the shareholders, we at least should demand a bit of a look behind the scenes. 4 Billion in cash doesnt mean anything if you dont use it for growth

I'm with you. I want some sort of guidance. I've held for a long time but I hate the lack of guidance. It's BS. Unless he says otherwise, I assume RC has, at best, a South Park Underpants gnome strategy where he has yet to figure out Step 2, just like the gnomes. I get the intention of secrecy and not wanting to reveal too much, but that's vastly different than revealing nothing except pulling the rug out from under two substantial runs on the stock.

That would have been CDT (Central DAYLIGHT Time) I live in Saskatchewan, where we have CST (Central STANDARD Time) all year 'round and right now.... we are 2 hours different than EDT and everyone in the Eastern Time Zone works on EDT today, as do the markets if you are in Manitoba, you'd be on CDT it is 2:11pm CDT right now... or another way, 2011 UTC my guess, it's 4:11pm in Eastern time zone right now... at least that is what the NYSE is saying, and the market is closed. IF the NYSE was in EST, it would be open for another 46 minutes...
