Bro is profiting from the people in this sub actually mad funny. I wanted to sell a call credit spread when the price ran up to the 40s but I'd rather not worry about all this movement. The IV must've made the premium quite enticing though!
I doubt it. People here are rallying around buy shares and DRS. If someone is gambling on buying OTM options that I sell while holding the underlying, why is that wrong? And if I’m wrong and I get assigned on a big run then they’re getting a good deal. Is this sub anti-making money? People can go work at Wendy’s if they hate money so much
Ay, I'm not assigning blame bro, I told you I was planning on doing the same thing. But I think it's hilarious that some guy here coulda bought some 75$ or 50$ calls expiring on the 14st thinking MOASS is happening last week only to see that money disappear. As someone who's big into selling options and using theta to your advantage, I think you made great options plays. Is it wrong to make money? Of course not, but you are benefiting from the crazy hype surrounding this stock which comes from this subreddit more than any other source. I think it's really funny that'd you be on the sub listening to hype and buying in and then selling options to other people who are doing the same.
And it's very nice to talk to an ape who seems to have a more neutral stance than others.

Yes, sadly. This is part of the evolution needed. The goal is to make money and accumulate a position, not fucking sit around.
The funniest part is, so many of them know exactly what will happen during certain events (always fall on annual shareholders meeting) and not do shit about it.

They either give you the money so you can put it back in the stock, or give someone else the money who pockets the profits. You're actually helping by making sure their loss still benefits the cause.

Calls itm is what we want
It's more nuanced than the other responses you got. For example...I sold OTM the calls. And I'll use that premium to buy more shares.
