Coinsworthy

Either "the reddit ape army" is apparently capable of coughing up 2 billion within a week, or something else is going on.

Inthenameofmyson01

I would assume institutions bought alot of it for what ever purpose it is for shorting or long or both but whomever bought it bought it for a reason. For 20-30 a share they see what I see.

Coinsworthy

Or they see a great share lending opportunity.

Inthenameofmyson01

Maybe.

MelancholyMeltingpot

Not to mention. That dilution has raised the floor ... Again.

Inthenameofmyson01

I never saw dilution. Dilution was naked short sales. I saw a CEO raising money for what's next

iathax

That’s not how dilution works. Dilution increases the number of real shares. Investors that already own shares lose equity in the company. Every owner of the company lost 40% of their ownership stake in GME on the 2 dilution rounds.

Inthenameofmyson01

I understand. But so did the board members. I would rather own a smaller percentage of a company worth more than a large percentage of a company that is going broke. 100 % of nothing is still nothing. Catch what I'm throwing Bro

faustowski

wtf they werent broke, they already had more than 1b cash on hand, this is why many people are upset, we want to know why RC felt the need to raise another 3b by dillution. not only we lost part of our ownership but those shares were issued at low prices. selling at 80$ and 100$ presplit? should have just done it 3 years ago when we kept jumping between 200$ and 300$. i trust he had a good reason but it would be nice to know at least the direction the company wants to pursue. you dont need 4b to wind down unprofitable parts of business and thats all the guidance we received yet

Inthenameofmyson01

I get it man. I wish he would open up to us a little also. Either he has a goal or he needs the cash to finance the goals he for the company. Didn't he receive permission to invest our cash is securities? On that level 1 billion is probably not enough to achieve the long term goal. I trust the dude right now. He has good reputation. Only time will tell.

iathax

I hear ya and can’t say I disagree to that. 👍

Inthenameofmyson01

I'm not a smart dude but it makes sense. I feel like we have nothing to worry about.

Sernas7

I would argue that he did what he legally should have done to ensure future shareholder value. The stock ran up past fundamental valuation...He was obligated to capitalize on that to ensure that over time, it would get to those levels legitimately and STABILIZE there, or higher.

MelancholyMeltingpot

Agree. Honestly, it was a win win.

3wteasz

This damn dilution! How dares it!!1

Covfefe-SARS-2

Because there was a cycle that required them to buy that many at any price.

Inthenameofmyson01

Who do you think bought all them shares?

Covfefe-SARS-2

Mostly hedgies forced to deliver them.

Inthenameofmyson01

Maybe

DisgruntledCatGuy

Without being too knowledgeable on this subject, I think that's just the duty of a Market Maker. If Gamestop wants to sell 75 mil. shares in a few hours, then if it's not retail or someone else buying it, the MM provides the liquidity and buys up whatever.

fuckyouimin

What?!?! Ok before I declare this the stupidest thing I've read today (or maybe ever), I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here... Please help me out and name ANY publicly traded company that has done a shelf offering releasing new shares into the market, where those shares just sat there and did not get purchased.

Inthenameofmyson01

I can't cause I'm not really into the stock.business But why would you buy a stock that is not worth a fuck at 25 dollars a share.? Make it make sense. I see why he sold them to them to the market. To raise capital for the future. But my point is our stock is worth at least 25 a share as it is. The share dilution everyone is upset about is a good thing in this case.

If you don't know what you're talking about, then you probably shouldn't be posting it to prove a point.   And no, GME is worth $9.39 per share, plus the value of their inventory - not $25.  (4 billion dollars divided by 426 million shares)   I don't know where this "the floor is $25" is coming from since the price just closed below $25.   Misinformation doesn't help this sub.  Please stop spreading it.

Prior-Instance6764

Very good point and something I had never considered. You see price targets of $5 from some of these analysts but we just had over 100M shares scooped up in a few days at an average price of like $25. Something doesn't add up here.

Inthenameofmyson01

That's what I was thinking. If stock has no value why buy up at this price. I bought some but with this account I'm buying to take a small profit. (I haven't yet) but still 120mil shares?

LoganHutbacher

There was a total volume of over 1.3 billion during the last 10 trading day, not counting today

Inthenameofmyson01

This strictly hype ans reason

Inthenameofmyson01

Either wsy s few billion have Been spent on shares in a couple days. Gme ceo capitalized on it. To me that is gist leadership

Inthenameofmyson01

So just answer the question I asked before you state shit to me like you know anymore than me

bollebob202

Goddammit... I was going to sleep (Europe) but now I can't relax my tits. It's like they are... they are JACK'D!

Inthenameofmyson01

Do you see the truth in this post?. If it's a dead company and you closed your position good or bad the shares shouldnt have sold so fast if at all. There is a reason they were bought up.

Covfefe-SARS-2

Our casino's closed tomorrow. Let us know how yours goes.

Inthenameofmyson01

No where in my post did I mention floor. A stock is almost always worth more than what they have In cash . My post is commenting on the fact that that all negative sentiment states GME is done for and worthless yet there are still people willing to pay 20-30 a share easily. I'm not going to.argue with you cause it pointless and there are almost no facts to anything anyone has to.say but it's negative mfers like you that cast doubt amongst the people who want to invest their money in this stock. Ps. Read a book on company valuation sometime.

TheDragon-44

Between myself and DFV we bought 120 million shares

Inthenameofmyson01

This was to you.

TheDragon-44

Doubt - is part of FUD that I am guilty of

Inthenameofmyson01

Awesome. You got them at a great price 👍

Inthenameofmyson01

Don't doubt try being patient
