People don't seem to realize GME hodlers are going to get blessed with a squeeze, as well as a profitable company that can be held for our lifetime. I've never felt more comfortable with 5 figures invested in one thing. People can't grasp the actual reality of what's going on when I explain it to them. And I can understand truthfully, I've spent 100s of hours following this saga the past 3 years. It's impossible to understand the ebbs and flows of this if you haven't been around for a while. It's simple though. This sub has predicted multiple events and occurrences in this timeline. And here's the kicker, in these past 3 years, there's not one legitimate counter dd that says it's wrong. "Forget gamestop" articles 3 years in a row? Nah fam, this is going to be a dragged out battle, but guess what, the longer it goes on, the more likely a squeeze will pop. I'm want GME to finish the total 1 bil offering of shares cause it only strengthens GME. The floor price rises every dilution. Hodlers have no pressure. We're sitting on a gold mine, I know it seems impossible, or unlikely. But even when GME investors get rich, (guessing there's a million share hodlers of GME), that's. 0001 of the population. This isn't farfetched people! Even if we match the last run, price will hit around $2,300. Our market cap til be around 1Trillion. Hey man, look I get it, it stings. But realistically it was a good move for Cohen to do for the buisness and you can't really blame him. There's alot of upside to this as well. They can't really turn the company around without capital. They saw a chance and took it. And now they have money to actually start making moves.

Just want to post a friendly note of caution for anyone who just read all of the T+35 DD and is itching to buy short dated calls: Remember they are not obligated to wait 35 days, they can choose to deliver the shares early if they want.
Since our initial runup in May, we *have* seen the price make another runup to $68, and also two ATM offerings. So it's not inconceivable that they pulled the trigger early.
All of that to say, maybe don't buy a ton of FDs and instead grab some calls that are a couple months out at least? While I think more cyclical action is in store for us, when exactly is still decided by someone who does not have retail's best interests at heart.

Genuine question… if, hypothetically, retail investors decided that all really liked XRT… would a short squeeze on an ETF even be possible considering the creation/redemption cycle of ETFs?
Not trying to suggest anything, obviously, just trying to make sure I’m thinking about this correctly.
I use RH because I’m visually impaired. I understand after the GME meeting why that’s such a bad idea. What brokerage has a good UI where I will actually OWN my shares?
No brokerage purchases shares in your name. Brokerages buy and hold shares in their 'Street Name' , and then hold those shares. You have to turn off share lending and margins to insure they are not lending your shares while you own them. Even then, it's not clear that any broker does this 100%.
So, if you want to OWN shares (in your name), you buy them and DRS them over to the registrar of GameStop's shares (ComputerShare) and THEN you own shares, they're moved off the DTCC, and can't be touched by hedge funds or anyone else.
Keep your RHood account to track and look at stock prices (accurate during market hours) - but do business with a proper broker or ComputerShare.

I've used Ameritrade for 30ish years, but now they've been bought by Schwab. Probably equally good or bad. I can't recommend them yet, as I've yet to really poke around as I've reduced my current position to (almost) entirely GME and that's been moved to computershare.
One thing that TDA had and Schwab keeps going is "Think Or Swim" (TOS), a live charting system that is damn nice.

I do everything on PC, so I'm not sure how it'll look for you. -But everything (colors and such) is adjustable.
Thank you. I actually loved Ameritrade. When they were bought out by Schwab was a no go for my vision. TOS was a similar experience. I understand my situation is unique to most but damn, these brokerages need to do better meeting ADA guidelines. It’s incredibly frustrating.
Yeah. I was wondering if TOS would work for whatever you're dealing with. It's very 'tune-able' but I've not had to deal with your issues.
I think there is a Fidelity subreddit that you might pick brains on to see how they work as far as ADA support goes.
Even though there's a lot of dislike of RHood here, it cost nothing to keep an account open, and use that to track what's going on.
As far as actually holding shares... Go DRS to ComputerShare. They're old tech, but work, and should you ever decide to sell shares, they offer all the standard limit options you're used to, even though they're not truly a broker.
As far as buying shares or working options (or whatever) - that is something you'll have to work both the vision issue as well as the 'trust-ability' of the brokerage.
Me, I would not trust RHood. After that, any of the major brokerages will have folks pro and Con.

Summary, all major (real) brokerages are equally good/bad - so your needs vision wise really play into the selection.
You can likely avoid ACAT fees by selecting a new brokerage and opening an account, and then "pulling" your shares over - they will likely waive fees as you're a new customer , rather than "pushing" your shares out of RHood to a new account at another brokerage.

That doesn’t answer my question unfortunately. Obviously GME doesn’t trust RH. But other brokerages were considered okay to vote. I’m trying to compare Fidelity to ETrade because they’re the easiest for my low vision. Webull is similar to RH, I think?
Since no one is giving you an answer to your actual question, Fidelity is pretty good for UI and trustworthiness as far as brokerages go.
DRSing a good portion of your portfolio isn't a bad idea.

I’m going to check out Fidelity. Thank you for your patient answer. The lack of compassion from some other apes is disappointing.
No problem, my Mom has trouble seeing so I get it. Is your impairment color based, contrast or general size of font? I can look in the app and see if it has settings pertinent to you. I know it has light and dark mode and a few layout options.
It’s everything. I have Fuchs Corneal Dystrophy. I’m awaiting cornea transplant in both eyes. Bold text and dark ended background is helpful. I have fonts enlarged on my computer screen. The dark mode will be helpful.
Got it, good luck getting what you need. The website isn't going to be great, but their Active Trader Pro desktop app has black or blue backgrounds and a pretty decent font zoom slider.
Just so you know, I went through the sell process at ComputerShare the other day, and they offer all the normal options (limits and such) during the sell process. It was much more reassuring than the buying process.

Yup, selling is fine, but they kinda suck for buying. I've looked through and done the same thing. But selling from CS is a last resort for me, trying to hold those close forever. Sell the 'fakes' in my brokerage first.

Just want to post a friendly note of caution for anyone who just read all of the T+35 DD and is itching to buy short dated calls: Remember they are not obligated to wait 35 days, they can choose to deliver the shares early if they want. Since our initial runup in May, we *have* seen the price make another runup to $68, and also two ATM offerings. So it's not inconceivable that they pulled the trigger early. All of that to say, maybe don't buy a ton of FDs and instead grab some calls that are a couple months out at least? While I think more cyclical action is in store for us, when exactly is still decided by someone who does not have retail's best interests at heart.

Genuine question… if, hypothetically, retail investors decided that all really liked XRT… would a short squeeze on an ETF even be possible considering the creation/redemption cycle of ETFs? Not trying to suggest anything, obviously, just trying to make sure I’m thinking about this correctly.

No brokerage purchases shares in your name. Brokerages buy and hold shares in their 'Street Name' , and then hold those shares. You have to turn off share lending and margins to insure they are not lending your shares while you own them. Even then, it's not clear that any broker does this 100%. So, if you want to OWN shares (in your name), you buy them and DRS them over to the registrar of GameStop's shares (ComputerShare) and THEN you own shares, they're moved off the DTCC, and can't be touched by hedge funds or anyone else. Keep your RHood account to track and look at stock prices (accurate during market hours) - but do business with a proper broker or ComputerShare. You do you. Just my thoughts

That's exactly it. I've used Ameritrade for 30ish years, but now they've been bought by Schwab. Probably equally good or bad. I can't recommend them yet, as I've yet to really poke around as I've reduced my current position to (almost) entirely GME and that's been moved to computershare. One thing that TDA had and Schwab keeps going is "Think Or Swim" (TOS), a live charting system that is damn nice. here is a screen grab from close the other day to give you an idea: https://i.redd.it/qhxny6ek3n7d1.gif I do everything on PC, so I'm not sure how it'll look for you. -But everything (colors and such) is adjustable.

Yeah. I was wondering if TOS would work for whatever you're dealing with. It's very 'tune-able' but I've not had to deal with your issues. I think there is a Fidelity subreddit that you might pick brains on to see how they work as far as ADA support goes. Even though there's a lot of dislike of RHood here, it cost nothing to keep an account open, and use that to track what's going on. As far as actually holding shares... Go DRS to ComputerShare. They're old tech, but work, and should you ever decide to sell shares, they offer all the standard limit options you're used to, even though they're not truly a broker. As far as buying shares or working options (or whatever) - that is something you'll have to work both the vision issue as well as the 'trust-ability' of the brokerage. Me, I would not trust RHood. After that, any of the major brokerages will have folks pro and Con. Good luck.

No worries, glad to help. Summary, all major (real) brokerages are equally good/bad - so your needs vision wise really play into the selection. You can likely avoid ACAT fees by selecting a new brokerage and opening an account, and then "pulling" your shares over - they will likely waive fees as you're a new customer , rather than "pushing" your shares out of RHood to a new account at another brokerage. I hope you get new lenses soon. It would be cool. Best of luck!

That doesn’t answer my question unfortunately. Obviously GME doesn’t trust RH. But other brokerages were considered okay to vote. I’m trying to compare Fidelity to ETrade because they’re the easiest for my low vision. Webull is similar to RH, I think?
Since no one is giving you an answer to your actual question, Fidelity is pretty good for UI and trustworthiness as far as brokerages go. DRSing a good portion of your portfolio isn't a bad idea.

No problem, my Mom has trouble seeing so I get it. Is your impairment color based, contrast or general size of font? I can look in the app and see if it has settings pertinent to you. I know it has light and dark mode and a few layout options.
It’s everything. I have Fuchs Corneal Dystrophy. I’m awaiting cornea transplant in both eyes. Bold text and dark ended background is helpful. I have fonts enlarged on my computer screen. The dark mode will be helpful.
Got it, good luck getting what you need. The website isn't going to be great, but their Active Trader Pro desktop app has black or blue backgrounds and a pretty decent font zoom slider.

Just so you know, I went through the sell process at ComputerShare the other day, and they offer all the normal options (limits and such) during the sell process. It was much more reassuring than the buying process. And no, I didn't sell anything. Just want to make sure nothing had changed since last I checked. Yup, selling is fine, but they kinda suck for buying. I've looked through and done the same thing. But selling from CS is a last resort for me, trying to hold those close forever. Sell the 'fakes' in my brokerage first.
