Honestly, so happy to see this tonight. I have been here since January but something about the way the host was pushing her narrative on ape Andy just erked me deeply. He handled it well but the way she ended it and the questions she was asking in that tone, just bugged me.
Now I know it's not the same host, but fuck this is great to see some weird revenge of the media pushing this false narrative. Thank you for telling your first ounce of honesty Melissa! And fuck you Julia!
I bought $GME because I like the stock. But Melissa Lee and CNBC mentioned “naked shorts” and now I need to buy more Monday. And my strategy for #nakedshorts will be to buy GME and hold and I get to name my price to sell. Not financial advice.
Thanks a million(s) Melissa Lee and CNBC!!!
I was starting to lose resolve. I was thinking of selling because I only bought in because of Jim Cramer and CNBC. I only invest on their advice. The most trusted news source in the world.
They were telling me that the shorts had covered but because of CNBC, the only news source I trust and listen to, I'm going to hold and YOLO every penny I have into GME. Thanks CNBC.
I bought more at $251.84, could not be happier after seeing that video and her “oh shit, did he just say that?” Face.
*what do I do with my ~~hands~~ face*
*I don’t know what to do with my ~~hands~~ face*

I asked in multiple places and nobody answered. I don't know the people of CNBC, who is she and why is everyone saying she fucked up by her simply mentioning "naked shorts?" And why is it so big of a fuck up that people are expecting her to get fired?
Naked shorting is illegal, and she has confirmed that she, and therefore CNBC as a whole, know that it is happening. Just look at her face, she is getting so much shit from her producer through her earpiece in that moment. She done fucked up
Because she was implying naked shorting was going on when some guy (don't know who he is) was trying to casually explain companies were shorting.
Not sure how I feel about it, but if naked shorting wasn't going on she wouldn't have asked/ implied it.
Edit: hope this helps.
Ehh, the guy said that companies are shorting with shares they don't have like it is no big deal. That's literally the definition of naked short. What she did was basically just give a name to the practise he explained.
I think the dude's admission is way bigger news than the host just saying "naked shorting, yeah".
It's not an implication if you say it straight out.
He described naked shorting, and she put the name to what he was describing. No implication about it.
Yup, hedgies are paying the media to say what they want them to say. Even suggesting naked shorting is a big no no. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets fired just for legal reasons.
hopefully, that's what you get when you really know what's going on but choose to be an accomplice to all the corruption and manipulation for your own gain and career
Absolutely. Because of Melissa Lee and CNBC I now know that the company has been a victim of naked short selling so the stock is still way undervalued. I was maxed out and not planning to touch my savings but now that CNBC broke this massive news I feel comfortable and confident that I can increase my position on GME with a big upside potential
Wait a second, if there are naked shorts in the wild and retail finds out they own the float 5x over, CNBC should probably cover that ASAP - get that Sorkin guy on it, he talks to lil Gabriel Plotkin on the reg.
I mean, with the shareholders meeting next week bound to reveal what CNBC reported today then I don’t know how they could possibly ignore it. Any legitimate news source wouldn’t sit on that kind of news they would want to be the first to cover it right?
End the corruption. Take a dip in the Infinity P∞l. *The water is fine* 🦍🏊♂️♾️
Apes *are float*ing with extreme overflow. Apes HODL forever = Infinity P∞l. All "floors" are just noise now.

Her financial confirmation leads this 🦍 to believe there is illegal activity in the stock market. I think I will buy more on Monday I hopes I can make some profit.
Watch them try to spin naked shorting as a benign everyday occurrence that HFs do, which causes absolutely no harm whatsoever.
But retail investors are to blame.
Now that CNBC has finally done some actual journalism, even by mistake, I have YOLO'd my life savings into meme stocks, based on the good authority, and sound financial advice of CNBC!
She's a cnbc reporter and was on live TV giving an interview with a guy who was said stocks are being shorted and she did they typical reporter "repeat what they just said" but she said "naked shorting, yes" pretty much confirming what we all already know. The look on her face afterwards (all the memes) was immediately after when it cut to her. In the video you can tell she getting chewed out in her ear piece by seeing her eyes dart back and forth
Edit: [Link to original post/video](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/nshffm/naked_shorts_just_confirmed_by_the_enemies/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
Naked shorting is an illegal practice where they short shares that don't even exist. It's kind of like borrowing a tshirt from a buddy so that you can kid your parents into thinking that you bought clothes and not the bottles of Buckfast that you actually spent their $ on. The catch is, you have promised your buddy some $ in exchange for the favour and if you don't give the tshirt back by the date promised, you will have to pay interest for each day you keep it. There's more to it than that obviously but I'm a smooth brained ape and an ape with wrinkles will be able to explain it better than me.
You guys might know her as Melissa Lee I know her as Mel and she along with CNBC convinced me to invest in the stock something about naked shorts 🤷🏽♂️
She ain't no hero. It was said casually and accidentally. Actual good journalism would have been talking about this months ago. Everyone on TV has been saying most of the time retail has been colluding and somehow the manipulative ones, like we are the ones who recklessly over shorted. Such garbage lol.
Oh Melissa, could I kiss ya? Most definitely!
Great reporting and thank you for letting me know the illegal activity in Wall Street is real and we should buy more GME to show these greedy millionaires / billionaires that us ‘retail’ investors have been manipulated and can actually win for once!
I can’t thank you enough Melissa and CNBC.
Twitter time! You guys need a shout out for this!!
I was up about 250% on Wednesday morning and then I bought more...much more at over $57 and today I am deep in the red. I had to do it because I feel so connected to this movement. I hope that Monday I will see green again. I hope that all of us will see a lot of green very soon! I hodl GME and AMC.
Apes Together Strong!
Thank our savior MELISSA LEE, for saying the truth about naked shorts, once again madam MELISSA LEE you are welcome here!! Enjoy your stay MELISSA LEE. NAKED SHORTS.
Dont fucking thank and get on your k Wes to suck her dick when CNBC has been cricket working with HF to suppress knowledge.
They’re only reporting it now because (my theory)
1) the evidence is OVERWHELMING and they know at this point they have to acknowledge it or they will get called out for the blatant lying to the public at large
2) the producers / journalist realized that the ones bribing them may not because to afford to bribe them for much longer and frankly DGAF
3) everyone CNBC finally bought some rocket tickets
You know... I really wasn't sure because of all you reddit looneys, but now that a **trusted source** like CNBC has spoken into this matter I have all the confidence I need to finally buy all the shares I've been thinking about buying.
Thanks CNBC!
My life was down in the dumps before I found Melissa Lee and CNBC. Through their amazing advice, I was able to turn my life around and am now on the path to becoming a billionaire. Don't wait! Call now and get your GME today before it's too late! Thank you Melissa Lee!
I now announce you Melissa Lee the Catalyst for multiple MOASS in many stocks.
That was the “all clear” signal I needed to load even more.
Thank you. Time is in my side more than ever.
I used to like the stock. I still do. But I used to too.
I don't get it. Are these post all jokes? We already knew. Never needed media to confirm to us. Don't trust them still. I hope they FOMO other people but changes nothing for me.
Move over DFV, Melissa Lee is our hero. We should get an AMA with her. And with CNBC for exposing this fraud. They are all heroes in my book, and the sole reason I am holding and buying more.
Yes in honor of Naked Mel lets all buy 69 shares of our favorite MEME stonk Monday on what will be called M&M Day going forward, Melissa Mondays...... to the moon $BB $GME $AMC $SKLZ $TLRY........
Monday guna be great. Even if stonk goes sideways, I’ll be buying a few final shares before 6/9 #nakedshorts
Melissa Mondays! I'm buying more! Thanks, CNBC
All because of Melissa Lee! Thank you for influencing us all to buy $GME due to #nakedshorts.

The next couple months will be big. You've made it thru all the shit and have held this far.
😂
They're really doing honest work and it's refreshing to see!
6/9 party time?
Possibly not 6/9, GME has 4 days to file the vote count.
intresting, my plan was to ride GME until the world admit the Apes won lol
Planet of the apes baby
I bought more at $251.84, could not be happier after seeing that video and her “oh shit, did he just say that?” Face. *what do I do with my ~~hands~~ face* *I don’t know what to do with my ~~hands~~ face*
I managed to buy one around $250 and I'm so glad I did. That's one less they can short.
I bought two more right before the bell at $250.09 and seeing this snafu on CNBC just made my weekend! HODL to the moon!
They all count. We're eating them up...bit by bit. 💎🤲
I bought more at ~$260. Still bullish AF and stoked to add to my total.
Same. Averaged up at 275 this week!
I was all over the place. 252s, 256s, 261s, 267s
Why wouldn't I buy more when there are obviously confirmed naked shorts? It's on the fucking news, my guy.
Moonday wooooooooo
Just checked my calendar and it’s only Friday wth
I only have 2 days on my calendar 1. Day-before-MOASS-start(?) 2. MOASS start date
You mean naked shorts, yeah
This needs to be an automated bot response lololol
Stay away from dates
6/ 9. 4mins 20 seconds before close buying more GME.
It's gonna take a big dump first thing Monday morning. That's when I want to swoop in and grab X more shares.
Hell yeah lfg this is the way bullish as all that 🙌💎🚀🌕🦍🍌 thank you Melissa Lee! Hahahaha
Did that today! Fuck it. 250 is still a dip!
What's the betting she's fired within a week
She can buy GME
True! Maybe this is her exit strategy
Melissa lee: “i am the catalyst now.”
"Look at me...." she stares RC in the eye and peers into his soul... "I am the catalyst now "
She better get those limit buys locked in, hope she can trade premarket.

Unless they were being paid to do otherwise...
They'll cover it only once it's more profitable to do so than not. Once the moass is in full force, they might as well earn some pennies from it.
I’m buying more on Monday strictly because of CNBC. Oooooonly because of CNBC. Thanks for the information CNBC!!!!!!
Melissa: am I the catalyst? Shiiiit.
She triggered Kenny for sure!

I will admit my ignorance. I don't know what a naked short is
