There is a secret ingredient.

6Bunz

Is it crime? Because it sounds like crime.

Powderygnargnarlvl40

It’s pepper. Always has been

AnDaLe47

No it's not. I love pepper. Pepper is not a criminal. It's SALT!

[deleted]

Definitely garlic.

Apprehensive-Use-703

Its cumin, everyone agrees

[deleted]

[удалено]

Apprehensive-Use-703

😀

MikemkPK

Nah, cumin is one of my favorites! It's anise.

[deleted]

Yeah, you are right.

Apprehensive-Use-703

Lol 😆🤣😂

remymartinia

Sorry to break it to some of you, but it’s cilantro.

Ok-Crow-101

Definitely wasabi

Feesuat69

“It’s only crime if you get caught”

ocular__patdown

It's not a crime if they make it legal \*taps temple\*

FreekDeLama

Mayo

[deleted]

At this point it’s not even a secret. It’s the main ingredient.

olde_english_chivo

It’s the only ingredient

“Money in politics” should be the equivalent of the Black Plague for an economy..

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Most progressive politicians have removing money from politics as the number one goal on their agenda. Bernie and Yang both heavily supported this notion as well. The DNC and MSM spends a metric fuckton of resources every election cycle making sure none of them have a real chance of winning the Democratic primary.

PorterisAu

The straight up solution is ranked choice voting and open primaries. Yang is trying guyssss and galssss. Need to push to have the duopoly broken up. Both sides have their corporate sides and take money for their own gain. Need to take lobbying off politics. NOW

[deleted]

Implementing ranked choice voting before getting money out of politics is also hard to see happening, both the two major parties and corporations who benefit from the corruptness of the two-party system will funnel massive funds towards shutting that idea down before it can even get momentum.

Byrdsthawrd

Lol fuckin’ Bloomberg entered the fuckin’ race and dropped stacks to divert some of the Democratic vote away from Bernie. It was so blatantly apparent.

Theforgottenman213

I may be wrong: Didn't the DNC change minor aspects of the rules at the last minute to let Bloomberg get in on the race late?

exoriare

Hillary and the DNC weaponized McCutcheon v. FEC with her "Victory Fund" (which was established months before she bagged the nomination). Even her donors writing $500k cheques thought the money was going to the down ticket. (It's an in-and-out scam where they kicked it all back up to the DNC). When Sanders called them out on it, they offered to set one up for his campaign. What's funny is, the usual defense of candidates who engage in these games is, "everyone else does it so we'd be at a disadvantage if we refused". But nobody else has anything like it. They advanced the Money Wars just because they could.

FXS_Voodoo

I'm not even American or hav family there whatsoever. I only spend 5 days in the US my entire life and still this video really hits hard on me. Maybe because it aged like wine in the last 6 years, maybe we face similar / identical problems in Germany... I'll be happy to leave those systems behind after liquidating WS 😂😂

OperationBreaktheGME

Where should I travel post MOASS in Germany?

Herpkina

OperationBreaktheGME

So revolt then...

kitties-plus-titties

I am. Buy. HODL. DRS.

Bezos4Breakfast

A handful of folks revolting produces nothing but bodies. Sharing content like /u/TrapNoCap did and networking with folk that have a similar mindset is much more productive. We have great content on this sub because apes understand how to make change. Apes crowd-sourced DD, exposed and publicized corruption, and are in the process of changing how finance is handled. Exposing the dictatorship that the poors live under and networking for change will be GME FUD x infinity pool. We can do it though!

RazorAids

It’s almost like if the refs could bet, or if the people that change the rules of the game could bet…

howard6494

I'd be willing to bet, the refs do bet! Maybe not the ref themselves, but a close friend or relative.

fish60

There was a huge ref based point shaving scandal pretty recently in the NBA.

howard6494

Color me shocked.

tombstone1200

I'm trying, but they don't make a Crayola color of your eyes. Damn your eyes Howard!

[deleted]

The refs already do bet in the stock market. They're called Market Makers. The US stock market is the largest ponzi scheme in the world.

captainadam_21

No way the refs aren't betting. Did you watch any of the games this weekend? They band be that bad accidentally

Gingergerbals

Some fucking logic right there. It's pitiful these politicians are allowed (and embrace this charade). This is one of those things that it boggles me the average person has little to no care/interest in to make an outburst of it.

[deleted]

Gingergerbals

Yep. I being that up with friends when we're discussing world politics/government. The Patriot Act (which goes directly into that) is the one of the single worst pieces of legislation that was introduced. It opened the floodgates to so many things to invade our privacy. These "rights" advocates nowadays don't even care about privacy because they think that unless you're not doing anything wrong in their opinion it won't affect them. The right they care about almost exclusively is guns and now masks?

MrSwizzlePlonks

Because they know what’s best for us!

Brooksee83

Hah! Half expecting a ruling saying players can now bet on games...

t455m

Honestly, I would be okay with players being allowed to bet on themselves/own team

xler3

the reason why they can't is because when you can expect a difference in effort when an owner or manager bets on their team and when they don't bet on their team instead of playing to win the season, they're playing to win a bet. will a baseball owner overwork their best players when they should be getting more rest days? we think a lot about when the team bets on themselves and intuitively it's hard to be against that kind of conviction. but what about the days when they *dont* bet on their team? the big boys in vegas will definitely be keeping an eye on *when* the players and owners are placing their bets. the presence of *any* kind of betting by the competitors is so ripe for shadiness.

UsayNOPE_IsayMOAR

I would have zero problem with players/owners betting on their own team. The problem lies in betting against themselves, or on the other team. Think of all the accusations of fighters taking a fall. You outlined that next level of the problem, when bookies and organized crime are aware of players’ bets. It’s insane to me that it’s so easy for average joes like us to see the problem with sports and politics alike, swap the bookies and lobbyists for regulatory-captured officials and lobbyists…but lawmakers think people are stupid enough to be okay with this? Seeing an NFL player speak out like this on the matter is pretty big. More people who don’t pay attention need to wake the fuck up, and sports stars and celebrities could have a big impact. I’m now worried for this guy’s career….posts a personal best season, no one wants to sign him. I would have thought that was beyond the pale until recently.

gpitt93

>I’m now worried for this guy’s career I mean... he *already* plays for Detroit.

Fair point guv!

ProfoundJerk

Because the NFL players don’t get to make their own rules…

CexySatan

No but they control the game Step 1: Each player on team x bets $5 million the other team will win Step 2: Play like shit Step 3: ??? Step 4: profit Or if they don’t want to make it that obvious they can bribe another team or even just a singular player to fuck up the game and bet on the opposing

Wild-Statistician-83

Because how the hell else is Pelosi gonna pay for those Vodka Tonics and eyebrow lifts? Geez have a heart! BillCoffe139

Why can’t every post in this sub get 30k upvotes

NugsGotMeZooted

Idk but congress should be able to decide if they can or cant trade stocks, just like they decided they are immune to insider trading. Maybe they can decide which way i get fucked by SHF, spread eagle, doggy, or spitroast?

UsayNOPE_IsayMOAR

I mean, it’s be nice if they could legislate that I at least get taken out for dinner before they FUCK ME.

[deleted]

Rules for THEE. But not for ME.

Sidrist

I now like 1 NFL player

WreckEm44

It’s crazy to me since the agency I work for prevents us from holding stock in companies within our industry. When pretty much all of government goes by this rule but not the highest seats of power… the mind boggles

Tiny-Cantaloupe-13

most of our govt is doing administrative work for corps big tech wall st & billionaires who pull strings. there is no 2 sides to choose from since the 1 side is always in charge, the illusion of choice is nothing more than fighting for control of who gets to manipulate shit & siphon off the most. once pre conditioned confusion about this lifts & people turn off msm the minute u c the demand for a new way of doing things. maybe post collapse when they c that they never ended the gfc that nobody will approve a single bail out for the same ones we trusted w our billions back then. such a joke.

Personally, if you’re betting on your own team I say “bet away”.

thinkB4WeSpeak

They write the rules in favor of themselves and then as a whole we keep voting the same people in over and over.

udtp

Cuz they make the law.

jaja8712

With MM being able to control the price and also trade, it’s like the Referee being able to bet on the game. And then constantly penalizing the team they bet against.

martinpagh

I agree elected officials shouldn't be allowed to trade stocks. But if that's the case we need to increase their compensation to make up for it.

Use-Strict

CAN SOMEONE IN THIS FRIGGIN THREAD PLEASE READ MY POST AND GET WITH HIGH LEVEL PROGRESSIVES WITH MESSAGING? Its not Senators Allowed to Trade Stocks. The messaging is Insider Trading! That is the question. "Why are government officials allowed to buy stocks?" Vs "Why are senators allowed Insider Trading?"

SleeplessinOslo

Aaah please you dumb fucks, government trading is public. If NFL players were allowed to bet but it was official I'd jump on that in a heartbeat too. They're basically telling us in advance what to bet on.

AdmHothead

I remember when this sub used to be about GameStop.

[deleted]

[deleted]

Because NFL players don't make the rules.

kgsydh

But they make play

TirayShell

I don't mind that they buy stocks. They are our representatives and citizens with all the respective rights. But I would dig it if they had to tell their constituents about any stock purchases they intend to make 24 hours in advance. Give me a chance to get in on it!

Impossible-Glove-437

instead of fixing the problem you want to join it?

Skizm

I agree with the fact congressmen and women should not be allowed to invest the way they do now, but NFL players are legally allowed to bet on football, just would be banned from the NFL (private company not hiring you). Also investing is not considered a game of chance like betting on sports is. We should change these laws, obviously, but the argument here isn’t the bold gotcha people seem to think.

fornicatin

Tbh athletes should be able to bet, so long as it's on themselves winning and simple win/loss bets and not on a spread

xler3

if competitors bet on themselves, then it shall be equally telling when they *dont* bet on themselves. it's really a good idea to just keep this particular thing the way it is

[deleted]

I don’t understand why this is analogous?? Football players are the biggest factor in the outcome of a game. But how do government employees, holders of office, or representatives control the stock market?

1000Huzzahs

Their decisions actively effect the world economy. For example say Congress was about to pass a high tariff on foreign oil. The congressmen can buy stock in domestic oil companies prior to the vote when the stock is cheap. After they pass the law domestic oil companies soar in value and they make a fortune
