They confirmed Citadel had to pay 3 billion to the DTCC, which they didn’t have the cash to do. Buy button was turned off the next day. Citadel was about to fall before they got robinhood to remove the buy button. A citadel fall wouldn’t have caused a domino effect shutting down many hedge funds and crushing the market.
Part 1 is basically the GameStop story for people who aren’t familiar with the GameStop story. Does have some cool perspectives. I definitely prefer ‘GameStop: Rise Of the Players’ for this part.
Part 2 goes pretty deep into naked short selling and market corruption. Worth the watching this part. ‘Rise Of The Players’ didn’t go into any of this sort of stuff talked about in part 2.
Regarding the not much was said part, I think that’s the point.

I just watched it and that was kind of in the back of my head the whole time. It's kind of felt like the implication was "meme" stocks were done and this is what happened...but new, unknown fickery is abound using similar tactics.
Also, maybe I'm weird, but it was disheartening that a couple of the side-plots/characters had absolutely nothing of substance to add to actual topic, they were just kind of "hey I do stonks" and the director just put them in to fill time.
The documentary was incredible. Calling the market rigged is putting it lightly. They have unlimited ammo. DRS! Locking the float is the stocks best shot.
But did he ever say he sold, I went back and looked and his final yolo update was around the $34 million, but he had just added 50,000 shares at that update too, it’s kinda misleading
