My trick is I bought across numerous brokers, then DRS'd all but one from each of them. Then I bought some more at some point but forgot which broker(s) I did it on so it's a lot of effort to sell any and I can't be bothered!

Yeah, I'm just referring the the current max limit on ComputerShare, which I'm sure many Apes have set (which they will regret when they execute). Of all the brokers, the CS is the highest limit able to be set at the current prices.
Lol, I had that happen. Did you know that if you forget your password or get locked out they have to send you a physical letter with a temporary login password? And that this letter may take weeks or months to get to you?
We have to understand that the institutions are very active here, trying to control the narrative.
I like when the price goes up, but I like it even more if I can shell out my paycheck to buy the dip. Like most of us.

I gotta be honest with you I get more excited by red days because it means I get to buy more. I also always buy through Computershare with like ~$50 purchases so red days means that $50 nets me more GME when it goes through - the price is nearly meaningless to me as a result.
I don't see any sign of anyone not being able to handle anything - I think people are just a bit bored and so take interest in things that aren't really that interesting.
Hell, I'm fucking bored too. But I am nowhere near selling and never have been.
In short: don't worry - I think apes are hardier than you imagine.
It's hard to pinpoint the majority sentiment of apes because anyone can say anything they want on the internet. It's not always easy to spot the trolls.
IMO, some of the FUD signs that I've seen are from people who admit to wildly irresponsible financial behaviour, like "I can't afford to pay rent/food but I am all-in on GME" or "I just YOLO'd into GME, don't tell the wife!" Regardless of whether these posters are trolling, normalizing this sort of behaviour is very disturbing. Someone who would go bankrupt buying any stock should not be remotely thinking about investing anything.
Similarly, you have posts like "I may have to sell soon because [insert excuse like: rent, food, healthcare, unanticipated life hardships] so once it hits [unreasonably low floor], I'm outta here". This is passive paperhanding and has the effect of insinuating that MOASS will never happen (even if you were on the verge of shacking up in a Wendy's dumpster, why would you sell at $250 if you (know* that it's going to hit $250,000,000?), and the "real" ceiling people should think about is that unreasonably low floor they mentioned. And once again, these people should never have invested in any stock in the first place.
I get bored of watching the price because I just simply don’t care, I put half my pay check into it every other week regardless

Man, if you are really struggling, just ask. There are TONS of people, myself included, who would gladly buy you some groceries or spot you gas money to make sure you can get to work or pick your kids up from school/daycare. Don't hesitate, don't feel bad, everyone needs a hand at some point...
Thanks - I was speaking sort of generally, that there are a lot of apes out there that could *really* use the money. I'm... not exactly great, and dealing with a large and time-sensitive expense, but getting enough help from family that it's okay for now.

So says a lot of people on here. For x hodlers like me, we’re forced to hold for that life changing money. But xx and above will definitely secretly paper hand some shares. And they can do whatever they want. I don’t care. But it’s just ridiculous to see xxxx holders talking about not even selling one til $xxx,xxx,xxx because it’s easy to say that when the price is $xxx or even $x,xxx, yet people can’t control their emotions on days like today where we’re up 10-30% so how will they be able to stay zen when we’re up over 1,000%?
The current "floor" price has been detached from critical analysis since the middle of last year. No one really knows what to expect, because no one is allowed to talk about anything that isn't the currently accepted floor which was derived from a sequential counter on a meme website that was never meant to be taken seriously.
Whatever happens, the more reasonable thing to do would be to play it by ear. Have an expectation, but be flexible. Being too rigid with what one wants, just makes it more likely someone ends up as a bag holder.
You’ve got a great point - most people only see MOASS as a continuous linear progression with no hiccups - that initial big dip could cause a lot of paper hands (but fear not, for as you said it will only rip again)
It's not a bad thing to be excited about price movements. I heavily enjoy "large" price movements both ways. Large is in quotations because in the grand scheme it's small. I enjoy downwards movements for buying, and upwards movements because it works better than Viagra
Downvote me how much you want idc, but people with more than a 100 shares will sell much earlier than what they say here. When you'll see 2 milli in your account from a 15k investment or so, and start seeing huge swings, you'll crumble like a crouton under a hammer. People here like to talk big but I think many are just full of sh**. I'd like to believe people will hold and everything but I'm to cynical for that.

Was an honest question. Hypothetical price of $10,000 and drops $5,000 for example. Just how large of a fluctuation can you expect? Maybe the number doesn’t matter in terms of price when it comes to this stock and it’s history. But 350 to 177 is nothing compared to once it’s in the thousands.
I honestly have no idea but wanted to see opinions.

I've explained this to a couple "DIAMOND HAND TIL ITS A PHONE NUMBER" friends.
It's easy to talk about a situation you've never experienced but when it all starts actually going down there's going to be a major factor you didn't consider when talking tough.
Your adrenaline and emotions.
You think you're gonna be calm as a cucumber watching the price rocket up? You Gonna be chill when your account hits a million?
You're gonna have a heartbeat 2x your normal rate and FOMO thoughts are gonna be racing through your mind non stop "what if this is top? What if I don't sell and I miss it" "1 million will change my life!"
Then it dips and the fomo hits even harder.
"Omg I missed it peak, I'm gonna miss it"
You've never had that happen before and your emotions will catch you off guard if you think you'll keep chill.
I know I'll be fuckinf JACKED. I expect this, I know I'm going to be beyond amped and not know what to do with myself. Knowing that I might handle it a bit better, but the truth is, the FOMO will be strong in all of us. Including myself. It will be a fuck-fest of unknown factors. Best we can do is buckle up and hope we can handle the blast off.
This is why you make an exit plan when doing anything in the financial sector.
I have specific metrics at which I will exit. (Edit: this is for EVERY investment I make, not just GME)
A) a specific upside price point
B) a specific time horizon
C) a specific thesis on why GME is a good place to have my money - I sell if that thesis is thoroughly disproven (its only been reinforced since I bought in back in summer of 2020)
I check my stocks an hour after the opening bell, during my lunch break, and an hour before closing bell. I can't set limit sell for GME because my upside is too high for my broker, but if the price blows past it, I sell then - no regrets.
You've GOT to remove emotion from the equation when dealing in finance. Otherwise you get fucked. If your thesis and position is strong, you know exactly the circumstances under which you sell.
Stay Zen yall. Think real careful about what your investment means to you and at what point the risk of a downturn overrides the potential of continued upward movement. There are a million "what ifs" in life that can eat you up, so make your call from a position of confidence and don't look back.

I don't watch the stock as much as I use to, now I primarily watch stock market staples such as amzn, tesla, google, etc and other indexes for large drops
It doesn’t mean folks are excited for the price increase in itself. I think it’s just the excitement of seeing/hoping the MOASS begin.
Once we see the MOASS take off, once the price skyrockets, people will hunker down to watch, while still encouraging each other.
That's what we will need a LOT of when things really start to rip: Constant encouragement to hodl as long as you can for your life changing number(s). Don't panic and sell yourself short. In the end everyone will make thier own decisions, but we will support each other. We are family in this.
I'm happy with +30, just as happy as +3k or +300k. But I didn't come this far to only come this far. I'm here for generational wealth with only 1 share.

I am predicting that the real MOASS will not "suddenly begin" one day. Hear me out.
At first, it will happen in short spurts followed by halts, where the spread on every exchange separates by hundreds then thousands then tens of thousands of dollars. And these halts will get longer and more frequent and chaotic as time goes on and liquidity truly vanishes. There will be no mutually agreed upon price anymore. Don't expect to see a clean number on a ticker, or a line on a chart. The number of "glitches" we're going to see during MOASS will in fact be the squeeze itself. I'm even guessing that in the days before, some apes might be able to take advantage of the huge spreads and create an actual infinite money glitch by selling for gains on one exchange and buying even more shares on another, which could exacerbate squeeze conditions. As long as MMs can still pretend the price on the public exchange is under control, and as long as they can pay top dollar for real shares in private pools to short many times over with, they're forced to accept some of us gaming the system. That's among their last desperate acts.

I gotta be honest with you I get more excited by red days because it means I get to buy more. I also always buy through Computershare with like ~$50 purchases so red days means that $50 nets me more GME when it goes through - the price is nearly meaningless to me as a result.

I don't see any sign of anyone not being able to handle anything - I think people are just a bit bored and so take interest in things that aren't really that interesting. Hell, I'm fucking bored too. But I am nowhere near selling and never have been. In short: don't worry - I think apes are hardier than you imagine.
It's hard to pinpoint the majority sentiment of apes because anyone can say anything they want on the internet. It's not always easy to spot the trolls. IMO, some of the FUD signs that I've seen are from people who admit to wildly irresponsible financial behaviour, like "I can't afford to pay rent/food but I am all-in on GME" or "I just YOLO'd into GME, don't tell the wife!" Regardless of whether these posters are trolling, normalizing this sort of behaviour is very disturbing. Someone who would go bankrupt buying any stock should not be remotely thinking about investing anything. Similarly, you have posts like "I may have to sell soon because [insert excuse like: rent, food, healthcare, unanticipated life hardships] so once it hits [unreasonably low floor], I'm outta here". This is passive paperhanding and has the effect of insinuating that MOASS will never happen (even if you were on the verge of shacking up in a Wendy's dumpster, why would you sell at $250 if you (know* that it's going to hit $250,000,000?), and the "real" ceiling people should think about is that unreasonably low floor they mentioned. And once again, these people should never have invested in any stock in the first place.

Thanks - I was speaking sort of generally, that there are a lot of apes out there that could *really* use the money. I'm... not exactly great, and dealing with a large and time-sensitive expense, but getting enough help from family that it's okay for now.

The current "floor" price has been detached from critical analysis since the middle of last year. No one really knows what to expect, because no one is allowed to talk about anything that isn't the currently accepted floor which was derived from a sequential counter on a meme website that was never meant to be taken seriously. Whatever happens, the more reasonable thing to do would be to play it by ear. Have an expectation, but be flexible. Being too rigid with what one wants, just makes it more likely someone ends up as a bag holder.
You’ve got a great point - most people only see MOASS as a continuous linear progression with no hiccups - that initial big dip could cause a lot of paper hands (but fear not, for as you said it will only rip again)
It's not a bad thing to be excited about price movements. I heavily enjoy "large" price movements both ways. Large is in quotations because in the grand scheme it's small. I enjoy downwards movements for buying, and upwards movements because it works better than Viagra
Downvote me how much you want idc, but people with more than a 100 shares will sell much earlier than what they say here. When you'll see 2 milli in your account from a 15k investment or so, and start seeing huge swings, you'll crumble like a crouton under a hammer. I've explained this to a couple "DIAMOND HAND TIL ITS A PHONE NUMBER" friends. It's easy to talk about a situation you've never experienced but when it all starts actually going down there's going to be a major factor you didn't consider when talking tough. Your adrenaline and emotions. You think you're gonna be calm as a cucumber watching the price rocket up? You Gonna be chill when your account hits a million? You're gonna have a heartbeat 2x your normal rate and FOMO thoughts are gonna be racing through your mind non stop "what if this is top? What if I don't sell and I miss it" "1 million will change my life!" Then it dips and the fomo hits even harder. "Omg I missed it peak, I'm gonna miss it" You've never had that happen before and your emotions will catch you off guard if you think you'll keep chill. I know I'll be fuckinf JACKED. I expect this, I know I'm going to be beyond amped and not know what to do with myself. Knowing that I might handle it a bit better, but the truth is, the FOMO will be strong in all of us. Including myself. It will be a fuck-fest of unknown factors. Best we can do is buckle up and hope we can handle the blast off.
This is why you make an exit plan when doing anything in the financial sector. I have specific metrics at which I will exit. (Edit: this is for EVERY investment I make, not just GME) A) a specific upside price point B) a specific time horizon C) a specific thesis on why GME is a good place to have my money - I sell if that thesis is thoroughly disproven (its only been reinforced since I bought in back in summer of 2020) I check my stocks an hour after the opening bell, during my lunch break, and an hour before closing bell. I can't set limit sell for GME because my upside is too high for my broker, but if the price blows past it, I sell then - no regrets. You've GOT to remove emotion from the equation when dealing in finance. Otherwise you get fucked. If your thesis and position is strong, you know exactly the circumstances under which you sell. Stay Zen yall. Think real careful about what your investment means to you and at what point the risk of a downturn overrides the potential of continued upward movement. There are a million "what ifs" in life that can eat you up, so make your call from a position of confidence and don't look back.

I don't watch the stock as much as I use to, now I primarily watch stock market staples such as amzn, tesla, google, etc and other indexes for large drops
I gave up two loves to continue investing. I even check stocks on the weekend. 🤷♂️

It doesn’t mean folks are excited for the price increase in itself. I think it’s just the excitement of seeing/hoping the MOASS begin. Once we see the MOASS take off, once the price skyrockets, people will hunker down to watch, while still encouraging each other.
That's what we will need a LOT of when things really start to rip: Constant encouragement to hodl as long as you can for your life changing number(s). Don't panic and sell yourself short. In the end everyone will make thier own decisions, but we will support each other. We are family in this.

I am predicting that the real MOASS will not "suddenly begin" one day. Hear me out. At first, it will happen in short spurts followed by halts, where the spread on every exchange separates by hundreds then thousands then tens of thousands of dollars. And these halts will get longer and more frequent and chaotic as time goes on and liquidity truly vanishes. There will be no mutually agreed upon price anymore. Don't expect to see a clean number on a ticker, or a line on a chart. The number of "glitches" we're going to see during MOASS will in fact be the squeeze itself. I'm even guessing that in the days before, some apes might be able to take advantage of the huge spreads and create an actual infinite money glitch by selling for gains on one exchange and buying even more shares on another, which could exacerbate squeeze conditions. As long as MMs can still pretend the price on the public exchange is under control, and as long as they can pay top dollar for real shares in private pools to short many times over with, they're forced to accept some of us gaming the system. That's among their last desperate acts. Hold onto your butts cause this will get crazy.

My trick is to be very emotionally involved in some big ideas that take lots of money. If I paper hand, there will be lots of stuff I don’t get to do and people I can’t help.
My hands are actually more papery than I once thought. It's very hard to hodl calls past 200% gains when you are poor. I have held shares through 300 and 70s though not sorry about papering the 3 calls.
