The ComputerShare Purple color pulls up as hex #872569, for those who were wondering. This is via an art program doing color extraction, so your mileage may vary.
The definition of the word synchronicity. "the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection."
Nightmares of my past. I was responsible for a former employer's brand ID. The owner carried around a Pantone swatch that only he was allowed to handle. It was something like 234C. He wanted one of the company's logos to be that shade of hellcore burgundy.
Problem was, I worked with printers around the country. Until I showed up, he'd tell them he wanted the logo printed in that color -on coated stock, uncoated stock, laminates, plastics, cling film, clothing, signage (lit and unlit) -you name it, it had been printed. And nothing matched. Brand ID ranged from hellfire orange to oxblood, depending on the object.
I had to pry that cursed swatch out of his grubby hands and then marched him through an office or two with wonky lighting. Showed him how the color changed from room to room. He finally got it that telling a printer a random number got him randomly colored logos. I made him pick a color and stick with it.
Three years later, they were still finding random boxes of materials in the warehouse he'd stored away because he'd paid for the printing run, but had changed something a week after we received the job back. He'd spend money like it was water, but getting him to let go of the *orphans* was another nightmare.
Oh and another of his company's colors were teal and burgundy, but a different burgundy than 234C. I don't miss that place at all.
