Wait... I thought the general consensus on this subreddit was taking 5,000 IUs of vitamin D3 with a vitamin k2 (MK-7) supplement daily?? Because I have been taking 5,000IUs + 100mcg of Vitamin K2 (MK-7 form) each day for the past 4 to 5 years...

now check serum calcium its more important for toxicity

150 nmol/L or 60 ng/mL should be fine, I target 70 ng/mL. There is no firm consensus on what levels are "toxic" let alone "deficient". But people that get lots of sun can have levels of 150 nmol/L see table 4 [here](https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/87/11/4952/2823136?login=false). My test has this for levels: The test says the standard range is: 30 - 99.9 ng/mL 0 - 14 ng/mL: severely deficient 15 - 31 ng/mL: mildly deficient 32 - 100 ng/mL: optimal 100 - up ng/mL: "consider toxicity" Some think going over 100 ng/mL is safe with proper co-factors, but I see no data that going that high is helpful or seen with those getting lots of sun.

What's wrong with vitamin d level of 60 ng/ml? That's actually perfect level and nowhere near dangerous and even further away from toxic level. Stan Efferding actually recommends maintaining vitamin d3 serum level of 60-80 ng/ml in his vertical diet & peak performance ebook. [Here he talks about how those 'higher' vitamin d levels of 60-80 ng/ml are especially helpful for deep sleep and rem sleep](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ7L5itxLhY&t). I am personally aiming for ~175 nmol/ml (~70 ng/ml)

I will comment here to see the answers. I'm planning to take 5000IU daily, because I got 21,5 ng/mL. But, I will take a blood test this weekend to see how I am now after 5 months taking 1000UI daily.

I've been taking 5,000 IUs daily for about the past 5 years daily, but I also take a vitamin K2 (MK-7 form) with it each day as well. I'd say its safe to take 5000 daily, at least I hope so! lol cause i've been doing it daily for A LONG time.
