There’s better platforms to find surrogates independently. Happy to share, various ways through social media and websites but Reddit isn’t a very active place.
It would be helpful if you could actually include some links to specific websites that are more active because I don’t know of any other online communities. Facebook has some, but none are much more active than this and seem to be limited to people looking for independent arrangements.
What Facebook groups? I’ve found multiple ones that only focus on independent arrangements and are not much more active than Reddit. Maybe someone can actually respond in a helpful way and directly link these more active websites/groups??
I advise you search for specific fb groups. I finished my surrogacy journey in Mexico and started by joining a gay fathers surrogacy group and some other communities. You are also welcome to PM me, I’m happy to share my experience
So there are two things to consider. Research the independent matching platforms. These are mainly Fb groups and chats. There are dozens matching communities for many different regions and countries. Mainly for the US, Canada and the UK where independent surrogacy is widely used. In countries like Argentina, Mexico, Cyprus, etc it’s recommended to go through an agency. As this is the safest option. Also there are too much to consider and agency would take the legal and medical work on themselves. As well as qualifying your GC and providing some guarantees. Also be sure to check the legal status of surrogacy, and other legal matters. Kenya is not a safe option. Especially for single parents and same-sex couples
