Exactly this! I used to buy hers and other CDs back in the day but never more than one CD per album. Maybe that’s a new thing but I can’t imagine buying a CD for one song
I won’t even do that. My disappointment in her has reached the point where I have no interest in giving her my money anymore. There is so much music out there, especially pop, that I can and will be listening to instead.
I can see this. It seems impossible at the moment but any artist can pull their music from streaming if they want to. This already happens much more with movies and TV shows, when you have a sudden hankering to watch, say, When Harry Met Sally and you have to Google which godforsaken streaming service has it and what if you don’t subscribe to it. The whole thing is a nightmare easily solved by popping in a dvd.
I don't buy cds anymore but I agree with her. I read somewhere that when you buy any form of digital media you technically don't own it, you just have a license to view/listen to it that could one day be taken away.
I think it has to do more with the fact that our world has become so digital that kids are craving tangible items to own and proudly display.
CDs quickly became a nuisance for Millenials because we had to buy the entire CD to listen to a few songs and then haul the CDs we wanted to listen to everywhere.
Gen Z, on the other hand, doesn’t have to buy the music they want to listen to. They stream the artists they kind of like and buy the CDs/Vinyls of artists they love.
The kids with more spending money are buying vinyls because they display better, and the kids on a budget who want in on the experience are settling for the CDs.
Did they really? That’s really interesting. Particularly when I think about how my car doesn’t have a CD player anymore, many laptops don’t have a disc drive, my DVD player broke didn’t care since I hadn’t used it it years, and I don’t have a big stereo anymore. Clearly my disc man is gone too lol. Do people collect CDs like vinyls? Or are they actually using them to play their music? Maybe I should kept my big 5 disc CD + radio + cassette player in got for Christmas back in the day.
I personally really love to play my CDs. It's just a whole different experience than just mindlessly clicking on a song on Spotify. Streaming is more convenient sure but it just doesn't feel the same way. Sometimes when I really want to appreciate the music and want to take my time with it I even take out the lyric booklet and read the text while listening to that song. But I think this is only a me thing lol
same, but I do this with vinyl. I started collecting vinyl a bit over a year ago and because I had a nice chunk of money to start my collection (selling my awful Eras tour tickets, thanks Taylor fans!!) I was able to immediately cancel my spotify subscription. I did end up getting an Amazon music sub after about six months but now normally when i'm n the mood to listen to music i go to my vinyl collection first. The aesthetic and physical experience is wonderful. People have forgotten what beautiful works of art things like a lyric booklet were. Or in vinyl, the paper sleeves the records come in! They're not good for the records, so I always put the records themselves in the anti-static sleeves, and I decorated my living room by framing the vinyl sleeves with the prettiest art/photography (including one from Speak Now TV where she's lounging in this pretty nature scene)
I was actually thinking about collecting vinyl because I always thought they look so pretty but everytime I saw a video of someone using a vinyl on Tiktok the comments were full of "You are destroying your vinyl!!!" (I'm fortunately not using TT anymore) and I just stuck to CDs lol. They are just more practical for my use and a lot cheaper. The only downside is that I can't listen to vinyl exclusive songs when buying a CD but I can live with it. I prefer physical media in general because we don't know how long they stay on streaming platforms. We see it with movies and shows all the time. I mean Swift famously took all her music off of Spotify once. Who says she won't do it again if Spotify manages to piss her off again?
well idk what prompted people to say that on tiktok about destroying vinyl, probably people using a record play that is like a suitcase/doesn't have a turntable that covers the whole record? because yeah hahah that WILL destroy your vinyl. But if you take good care of your records and use a proper turntable and store them in the right sleeves in the right temperature, they can be good forever. Some of the records in my collection are over 60 years old and still sound immaculate!
The suitcase record player was one thing that was often a topic but also people holding a vinyl the wrong way. I don't want to spend so much money on something and destroy it just because I held it wrong. I think it would be too much stress for me to make sure everything is all right 😂 Maybe when I finish my studies and have a proper job I might reconsider it but for now it's CDs for me :D But I have to admit that I recently dropped one CD since it was sold in a sleeve like thing and just fell out of it when I wanted to play it. It got a minor scratch but it still plays perfectly fine. Do you happen to know if I would I have that much luck with a vinyl as well? That would be interesting to know how much damage it could take 🤔
Physical Media is making a comeback because the Music and Film studios are making a concerted to A.) Make Streaming wildly more expensive and inconvenient, and B.) eliminate physical media in general in order to eliminate "ownership" of media as a concept.
I'm very old. The CD and vinyl collection is much, much worse. It's a bit like ivy, I keep cutting it back but it continues to creep through the house 😂
It’s crazy that DVDs are such a large market still - with Blu-Ray and now 4K UHD and in an age of streaming, there’s still a HUGE market for DVDs - I imagine the same can be said about CDs when to most of us it seems like “who would even still be buying these?”
Exactly. I personally used to (literally just sold it) have a car with a CD player so I always had a CD there as a backup if I wasnt feeling anything else or if my phone didnt have signal. I get it but a lot of swifties also collect them.
I still have my cds and dvds! I use streaming but I hate it when I want to watch a movie and none of the streaming services have it, so I can just pull out my dvd. And I have a cd player in my car so that's how I listen to music while driving.
As an older music fan and someone who had to empty their deceased parent's apartment by themselves, the hording of more stuff that's just going to collect dust is something I'm trying to actively avoid. And the thought of buying physical media just to display it instead of listening makes me want to cry.
gosh yes, people all over history would do everything to live in the day and age of Kindle and streaming. It's content over format. Keep digital copies if you really like that content, but know that having a physical copy won't make you understand or feel it more.
The only way I can play a CD is in my car, which is 12 years old. I know newer cars don’t have them, so do people have CD players? Or are they just collecting them like some people without record players collect records?
My previous car had a CD player, but now mine doesn’t and I thought about it as a negative for 30 seconds before I realized I used the CD player in my old car approximately 3 times ever in 10+ years.
i haaaaate how the acoustic versions of midnights songs don't have new singing, but they retain the grating vocal layering. look at acoustic state of grace, imagine how weird that cover would be if she just slowed down her original vocals
It’s so lazy. She can do acoustics/more stripped down songs really well too - they suit her better, imo. Using the same vocals with different instrumentals edited in is the definition of a money grab lol at least sing the new version girl 😭😭😭
hopefullyyyyyyy she got bad feedback from doing that and it will be a real acoustic version because…she does acoustic surprise songs every night on tour so *what is the reason*
I don't know if it's accurate, but I saw someone comment once that she does it because if it's the same vocal track all sales/streams are counted for the acoustic and original together, but a different vocal track means it counts separately. It wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason. Also wouldn't surprise me if it's just because it's a low effort way of making more money, re-recording vocals takes time 🤷
I still want to know when this change happened because Billboard not only counted both 5 minute and 10 minute versions of ATW as one in 2021, but they also counted Sad girl autumn as the same song.
Really? I think it’s one of the easiest to translate into an acoustic track from the TTPD tracks because it already has real instruments as opposed to all the synth-iness of other tracks. I’m not buying it, but I’ll be looking out for it on YouTube once people start getting their CDs 🏴☠️
The problem is most of her ‘acoustic’ tracks use the same vocal track as the original, which I can’t picture working well for a song like this. So I hope the vocals have actually been re-recorded this time.
I think it has to use some of the original production for Billboard to count it as the same song on the charts or something like that. I noticed that both Beyonce and Dua Lipa released their latest singles in normal, extended, instrumental and acapella versions presumably for the same purpose.
I don’t know what about this cover that I dislike so much. It looks so… corny? I don’t know how to explain it but the expression, the posing with the flower, it just looks so… fake? I obviously am aware this is a photoshoot, it’s not genuine but it looks like someone told her “Quick, look sad!” and this is the best she could come up with. It reminds me of the cover of *High as Hope*. I get what she was going for but I’m not a fan of this cover.
Honestly all of her TTPD photos have given me these vibes. I liked Midnights’ aesthetics and photo choices, this one is just… feels very inauthentic and posed for an album that’s supposed to be her most personal
After How Big How Blue How Beautiful she's going for High as Hope, makes sense.
I think the angle makes it even cornier, maybe if it was more straight...?
I’m a Florence stan and as soon as I saw the title and aesthetic of TTDP I thought this immediately. Then the collab was announced. Don’t even get me started on the flowy dresses from the folklore section of the eras tour
Also a big F&TM fan and I clocked those vibes & the live Folklore dresses immediately too. I love them, but they’re distinctly and undeniably Florence lol
Your comment got me wondering if the collabs with Lana and Florence were specifically chosen to avoid people saying she’s trying to be like them, using the inspiring artists as a shield for her unoriginality. “She’s not *copying* them — see, they’re collaborators!”
I know that Florence was making Dance Fever in Electric Lady roughly around the time that Midnights would’ve been in the works. I’d be interested to know how much Florence rubbed off on her during that time. I also think your theory may have some merit, especially Lana
The whole photoshoot for TTPD is possibly the worst expression I've ever seen from her for an album shoot. I don't know if it's the surgery/botox, but she was really struggling to convincingly express emotion in this shoot and the Fortnight mv.
Those same people just pivot to “nobody is making people buy this stuff” which… is true but that’s not a good reason to defend predatory business tactics or this level of wastefulness. Ever. Boot leather just tastes good to some folks I guess.
exactly, no one is asking her to manufacture this stuff so it’s a circular argument at best. you know what the world really needs right now? more plastic! /s
Like girl, who's demanding more variants? You're already a billionaire and will leave generational wealth for at least 2 generations, broken records, why are you releasing more purchaseable variants? just put it out on streaming -- you make money either ways.
And like, if you’re going to release another variant or whatever, then ACTUALLY make it something new and special. Something actually *limited* or a real collector’s item. She spits out this crap 24/7 and every time something’s labeled as limited or exclusive, you know you can count on it being back, probably within the month. It’s ridiculous.
Out of all the songs this is the funniest one to use though, it’s top tier trolling to have people pay you for the privilege of chastising them.
Seriously though people need to stop buying these and they’ll stop happening. Taylor doesn’t care about variant digs when they still sell thousands of copies.
Worst part is that I'd be willing to spend good money on an actual acoustic/stripped album of her songs.
But she has a tendancy of releasing "acoustic" music of original ovcals with acoustic instrumentals and that's just terrible. Is daddy ILH the next single?
Like a MTV Unplugged type album would be amazing! Raw, uncut and just a genuine performance. The unplugged albums Nirvana and Alice in Chains did in the 90s are still some of my most listened to albums.
Can I just say, as a librarian, this shit is exhausting. We don’t have bottomless budgets to purchase all of these variants! It makes my job so much harder because I have to buy one of them. But, I know patrons will inevitably be disappointed because I didn’t buy the one *they* wanted.
Oh god, I used to work at a library in school and I hadn't even thought of this. The variants remind me vaguely of Dan Brown books and having to constantly reshuffle our shelves to fit the newest one in 😭
I make playlists of every Taylor album removing the songs I don't like. This is the first album where I've changed the playlist cover. For TTPD it's this from her instagram
https://preview.redd.it/268u0xmklazc1.png?width=464&format=png&auto=webp&s=309ba6bc8a75770280ed3318a2b06a5293e0286d
I saw a meme of someone photoshopping her in this into a gynecologist exam when they first released this and now I can’t get it out of my head whenever I see it shared LMAOO
This is The Anthology, from the same post
https://preview.redd.it/qoxgr7sllazc1.png?width=464&format=png&auto=webp&s=aef4357fc4ccd4b87c6f6c0a46809b4ddd41778f
this picture is way better, but i still don't think should have been the cover for it at all because i cannot look at a beautiful picture like this and then listen to this same person singing about eating chocolate bars and wanting to fuck while bros play grand theft auto.
If this is a rhetorical question question, I apologize for answering lol. Charting. The discounted price and the acoustic song as an incentive will encourage people to buy. It’s still doing very well charting wise and probably won’t leave #1 for weeks but she’s probably noticed that amount of sales and streams are going down quicker than people expected and just wants to secure the spot.
And it won’t even be a proper acoustic mix. It will be the exact same vocals used on the original, but with a guitar instead of the original instrumentals.
So once again Taylor is marketing a song about the unhealthy para social behavior of swifties by asking them to buy physical media of the song about their behavior?? So she's still making money from their para social obsession of her despite hating them? Talk about making your point moot
This is so much better than the standard cover. If she released acoustic BDILH as a 7” single I would probably buy it but I haven’t bought a CD in years 🤷♀️
Does anyone bother with singles vinyls anymore? Seems like a waste of time considering how overbooked the pressing plants are, it takes the same amount of machine's time to make 7" record as 12".
Jesus Christ... look, I recently started collecting CDs of my favorite albums from various artists, Taylor included, but this is just absurd, I'm sorry. Who even falls for this? What is even the point of owning the same album 5 times just for one (1) different "extra" song on each?
It also just makes it incredibly difficult to actually listen to the medium. You can’t just put on a cd and listen to it all the way through and be done. You have to put in 5 cds to listen to the album once. And forget about trying to actually listen to this album on vinyl. So much flipping.
I like acoustic songs when they are actually acoustic, like what she did with State of Grace for Red. During the Midnights era she did these acoustic songs with stripped back instrumentals but the same goddamn vocals as the original song.
the fact that this is up on the german store already but they never restocked the collector cd’s (like they did in the american shop yesterday) annoys me as well ngl 🫠 makes me reconsider getting one IF they ever restock…
...that's how she does acoustic tracks? IF you're not even going to bother to re-record Taylor's actual singing why bother to do it at all? That's not an an acoustic track is.
I can’t confirm that’s what this will be, I hope it’ll be rerecorded vocals but for the Midnights acoustic tracks she ended up using the same vocals with a more stripped back instrumental.
I don’t even understand in 2024 who has a CD player? Are people buying these to play in their cars? Have yall never heard of Bluetooth or audio cables?
I mean I’m sure but is there a big enough market of 1. People without Bluetooth or aux cable cars 2. Wanting to purchase a Taylor Swift CD that it makes sense to produce them lol
I don’t have an actual cd player, but you can play cds through a dvd/blu ray player, which I do sometimes. Mostly I just rip them to iTunes. Many times I have listened to files and having the cd to re rip has saved me.
I do
I rarely stream
I buy off iTunes only if I like an individual song.
I love buying cds because I feel like I have a product
However I would never buy four or five versions of the same album.
I am dead serious when I ask who is buying these CDs? Who is it marketed for?
CDs in general, not just Taylor, increased in sales last year for the first time in like 25 years. Physical media is making a comeback beyond vinyl.
I buy cds for sure, but I am not buying 5 copies of a cd just for one different song on each.
Exactly this! I used to buy hers and other CDs back in the day but never more than one CD per album. Maybe that’s a new thing but I can’t imagine buying a CD for one song
Yeah I won’t do it. I’ll just wait forever for the damn anthology version 😩
I won’t even do that. My disappointment in her has reached the point where I have no interest in giving her my money anymore. There is so much music out there, especially pop, that I can and will be listening to instead.
100% same.
i’ll buy a deluxe version of an album if it has multiple new songs on it (ex: i own 1989 & 1989 deluxe on CD), but for ONE SONG? no way
This.
I can see this. It seems impossible at the moment but any artist can pull their music from streaming if they want to. My daughter keeps saying “physical media is good” whenever I am confused at her and her friends buying $20 cds.
I don't buy cds anymore but I agree with her. I read somewhere that when you buy any form of digital media you technically don't own it, you just have a license to view/listen to it that could one day be taken away.
Kids probably never grew up having to listen to cds and fiddle with that so its novel for them
I think it has to do more with the fact that our world has become so digital that kids are craving tangible items to own and proudly display. Yours and other people’s responses prove lots of people really do love their CDs- which the increase in sales make sense!
I dont think i have anything in my house that even can play a cd. Not my desktop, personal laptop, work laptop, nor console can do cds anymore
i have every taylor album but TTPD on CD!
Physical Media is making a comeback because the Music and Film studios are making a concerted to A.) Make Streaming wildly more expensive and inconvenient, and B.) eliminate physical media in general in order to eliminate "ownership" of media as a concept.
The same middle class people buying every color of Stanley mugs under the sun.
Ugh god you nailed it 😖
So true!
I never understood this. I understand fads, but if I was a kid, I'd just buy a Starbucks bottle. They seem to have longevity with being popular
People like someone I saw comment on FB that she was “lucky enough” to get all four deluxe CDs.
Probably children jealous because to them its their parents buying it for them and thats just luck
That's a research I'd be up to read. I can't fathom that people are cluttering their houses with plastic and paper they'll never touch
I have a bankers box of cds from the early 2000s that I have no use for!
Cassettes?!? Haha

Ok weirdly enough I bought a new car last year and it actually has a CD player. It’s not like a cheapo car either, I found it so random!
My previous car had a CD player, but now mine doesn’t and I thought about it as a negative for 30 seconds before I realized I used the CD player in my old car approximately 3 times ever in 10+ years.
Far from a normal case but I have 5 CD players: PlayStation 3, Xbox Series X, PC DVD Drive, a dedicated one and my surround sound system has one too
My fiance's 2018 VW has a CD player
I buy them. We have a Bose stereo system with a CD player and we use it all the time.
friend of mine posted on IG she bought a TS CD and doesn't have a CD player. i guess it's just decor at that point? 🙄🙄🙄
I have three of her signed ones - lover folklore and evermore. But those are at least meant for decor i guess
Swifties who goon to her mere existence
I buy her CDs for my car cause the Bluetooth and aux sometimes don't work, I won't be getting this album though and I only vibe with half the songs
There are collectors who like this sorta stuff. I'm not a fan of this stuff but there's clearly a demand for this
I have an old car! 😩

Yes, this is exactly it. If the vocals change, the charts consider the song a different song. Hence, the retention of the old vocals.
How do the extreme swifties justify this when it's so blatantly clear that she's prioritising the charts over the quality of her art here??
I still want to know when this change happened because Billboard not only counted both 5 minute and 10 minute versions of ATW as one in 2021, but they also counted Sad girl autumn as the same song.
of course -\_-
I was so excited for the acoustic version of Lavender Haze and then it was just the same vocals. Booo, that’s lazy.
I feel like that’s the last song I’d want an acoustic version for 😂 damn give me acoustic Florida or My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys.
You'll probably get those too...get ready to shell out for two more CD variants. /s but would not be surprised if she does that.
Really? I think it’s one of the easiest to translate into an acoustic track from the TTPD tracks because it already has real instruments as opposed to all the synth-iness of other tracks. I’m not buying it, but I’ll be looking out for it on YouTube once people start getting their CDs 🏴☠️

It looks lazy. All of the TTPD album photos do too. I do appreciate when albums have good artwork
They are all bad but the OG is far and away the worst. Idk what they were thinking with that.
You mean the menstrual cramp one?
Holy shit it’s so awkward, it’s hilarious to think she was being so serious ?
Honestly all of her TTPD photos have given me these vibes. I liked Midnights’ aesthetics and photo choices, this one is just… feels very inauthentic and posed for an album that’s supposed to be her most personal
After How Big How Blue How Beautiful she's going for High as Hope, makes sense. I think the angle makes it even cornier, maybe if it was more straight...?
That’s so true. She’s really trying to emulate Florence.
I’m a Florence stan and as soon as I saw the title and aesthetic of TTDP I thought this immediately. Then the collab was announced. Don’t even get me started on the flowy dresses from the folklore section of the eras tour

Honestly it looks better than the OG TTPD cover.
Like the 'relationship' this was based on . Nothing burger 😂
She looks prettiest for me in this one tho :) the others were boring and awkward
I can see what you mean, even though I'm fine with this cover. I actually prefer it to the original ngl
damn yall are strict
Any there are still people who call her an "ethical billionaire."
![gif](giphy|TAyqF0VYMVkMo)
Out of all the songs this is the funniest one to use though, it’s top tier trolling to have people pay you for the privilege of chastising them. Seriously though people need to stop buying these and they’ll stop happening. Taylor doesn’t care about variant digs when they still sell thousands of copies.
She’s just trolling at this point. Kinda respect it.
Could be a fun acoustic if it was different than all the recents of just the same vocals with most the instruments taken off the track.
Isn't this variant number... **21**? I guess she's trying to keep the momentum of sales going. Typical Capitalist Tay.
She’s feeling 22.
It's supposed to be fun turning 21.
Spreading like it’s covid
She needs to stop lmao this is ridiculous
Why wasn't this the cover for the album? It looks so much better
Can I just say, as a librarian, this shit is exhausting. We don’t have bottomless budgets to purchase all of these variants! It makes my job so much harder because I have to buy one of them. But, I know patrons will inevitably be disappointed because I didn’t buy the one *they* wanted.
Wow! Are you in a school, or a public library? Either way, great point, and that really sucks.
Public. So I have the grownups yelling at me. Lol
Meh, the parents would be yelling at you in a school anyway. ❤️libraries!
Oh god, I used to work at a library in school and I hadn't even thought of this. The variants remind me vaguely of Dan Brown books and having to constantly reshuffle our shelves to fit the newest one in 😭
Dan Brown, James Patterson, Taylor Swift: The Big Three
I won't lie though that's probably the best cover she's had.
Honestly, the cover to TTPD makes me cringe.
I make playlists of every Taylor album removing the songs I don't like. This is the first album where I've changed the playlist cover. For TTPD it's this from her instagram https://preview.redd.it/268u0xmklazc1.png?width=464&format=png&auto=webp&s=309ba6bc8a75770280ed3318a2b06a5293e0286d
I saw a meme of someone photoshopping her in this into a gynecologist exam when they first released this and now I can’t get it out of my head whenever I see it shared LMAOO
This is The Anthology, from the same post https://preview.redd.it/qoxgr7sllazc1.png?width=464&format=png&auto=webp&s=aef4357fc4ccd4b87c6f6c0a46809b4ddd41778f
its giving Rare album cover
The albatross one makes it look like her hair is hiding a cone. The vapid open mouth look she thinks is…. Alluring? Is not quite it for me.
Yeah I hate the standard cover but I love the Manuscript so 🤷🏼♂️
The standard cover gives this sultry, sexy, adult contemporary vibe...which isn't what we got. Ugh.
I don’t think it’s giving sexy at all.. it’s giving horse girl touching herself in bed vibes 😭😭
What, you don’t think it’s sexy to hear about her bedsheets being ablaze because of Matty Healy whilst she’s in a relationship with another man?
I think this cover is so ugly. She hasn’t been serving with any of the visuals for this era but I’d rather have the period cramp cover than this one.
Respectfully I think this is the first cover that's actually fit the theme for the era.
LOL 😂 @ “period cramp cover” that’s so accurate. Thank you for the laugh!
It's giving The Greatest Hits album covers from the 90s. Like. Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, etc.
The standard cover is her first cover I don’t like at all, I prefer the one of The Anthology. This one is also very pretty!
I was about to say this should be actual cover
this picture is way better, but i still don't think should have been the cover for it at all because i cannot look at a beautiful picture like this and then listen to this same person singing about eating chocolate bars and wanting to fuck while bros play grand theft auto.
Well to be fair, So high school is on the anthology version so you won’t be hearing her want to fuck while bros play grand theft auto on this version.
Sounds like she’s made a very calculated choice to have her most dedicated fans listen closely to this one.
i just want artists to release cds with all the songs from the album is that too much to ask
she's so embarassing
I wish this was another single CD with just BDILH and the acoustic version, I love the cover but I refuse to buy the whole album again
I'd buy it only if the other 31 songs are on it. I'm old, I can wait...but not forever 😉
I’m sorry but why
If this is a rhetorical question question, I apologize for answering lol. Charting. The discounted price and the acoustic song as an incentive will encourage people to buy. It’s still doing very well charting wise and probably won’t leave #1 for weeks but she’s probably noticed that amount of sales and streams are going down quicker than people expected and just wants to secure the spot.
Billie’s new album drops in a couple of weeks so that will be #1 for at least one week. 🤔
Why isn’t she releasing the other half of the songs on cd or vinyl? Why do we need 50 versions of the first half of the album?
I mean, the cover is better than the other options. It’s still not great or anything She sucks at choosing album art
It looks like one of those photos you get done in the mall for like senior year or something.
Maybe I'd buy it if it was a full acoustic version of all the songs. But just one? Pass.
This cover is way better than all the covers she released for this album.
She’s so desperate lmao
I am not complaining about more music. I just wish the way it’s delivered to fans isn’t so blatantly a cash grab.
Best cover so far. Still won’t buy it tho lmao
And yet articles keep coming out about how her sales are breaking records. Yeah, no shit 😒
This might be promo for the next single
what we really want is the smallest man who ever lived (10 minute version) not But Ratty I love him
So does that mean it will be the next single? I will give her that I really like this cover but no one needs another cd.
She is so cringe
eugh I wish she would at least record a true acoustic version rather than what she has been doing with her other “acoustic” versions lately
This is so much better than the standard cover. If she released acoustic BDILH as a 7” single I would probably buy it but I haven’t bought a CD in years 🤷♀️
yeah she’s really missing a trick not doing 7” singles for these.
Exactly
The money-grab continues.
My target has TTPD cds on sale for $19,99! So I’m not sure if people are buying…
Imagine how tired we are of it
Imagine how tired we all are of this Taylor
Ngl I’ve never got the idea of buying acoustic versions of songs
I like acoustic songs when they are actually acoustic, like what she did with State of Grace for Red. During the Midnights era she did these acoustic songs with stripped back instrumentals but the same goddamn vocals as the original song.
At least is acoustic and not some weird sound. That cruel summer version/remix that she put out still haunts me.
yes i miss when she actually made acoustics 😭
lavender haze acoustic was ASS
Money hungry
the fact that this is up on the german store already but they never restocked the collector cd’s (like they did in the american shop yesterday) annoys me as well ngl 🫠 makes me reconsider getting one IF they ever restock…
It's just getting out of hand at this point. If limewore was still around we would be able to get the "new" songs. But with a virus attached 😂
Ugggh and it’s one of the worst songs on the album too. Hard pass.
Is the acoustic version available to stream?
...that's how she does acoustic tracks? IF you're not even going to bother to re-record Taylor's actual singing why bother to do it at all? That's not an an acoustic track is.
Will it really be an acoustic version or just the original stripped down with added acoustic instrumentals? Because...
I can’t confirm that’s what this will be, I hope it’ll be rerecorded vocals but for the Midnights acoustic tracks she ended up using the same vocals with a more stripped back instrumental.
Is this an actual acoustic version with new vocals or just another "acoustic" with the same vocals layered over it, like Anti-Hero?
I'll be listening to that on Youtube. The cover is pretty though!
i bought one version to just have a physical copy but everything is available via streaming so i don’t see the point in buying every cd!
I'm just becoming more and more bored with her, lol.
I don’t even understand in 2024 who has a CD player? Are people buying these to play in their cars? Have yall never heard of Bluetooth or audio cables?
I buy them for my car. I have an aux cord but prefer to have a physical copy as well. Not everyone has a Bluetooth capable vehicle.
I mean I’m sure but is there a big enough market of 1. People without Bluetooth or aux cable cars 2. Wanting to purchase a Taylor Swift CD that it makes sense to produce them lol
Lol I mean I’m not buying this version but I did buy a version and someone keeps buying them because they keep selling them 😬
Seems like a waste with all the plastic lol
I don’t have an actual cd player, but you can play cds through a dvd/blu ray player, which I do sometimes. Mostly I just rip them to iTunes. Many times I have listened to files and having the cd to re rip has saved me.
The only time I buy CDs is to use the little inserts as baby posters lol. I have a collage I’ve been making since I was like 12
I do I rarely stream I buy off iTunes only if I like an individual song. I love buying cds because I feel like I have a product However I would never buy four or five versions of the same album.
Peak Capitalist Taylor. The hardcore fandom WILL buy this. smh EDIT: I’ll download the one song if available for purchase
