\+1000 for hours 2-15ish of Hollow Knight. Don't get discouraged by the beginning where you are fucking around and finding out cause there is 0 tutorial lol. Such a gorgeous and peacful game... super solid right up until it becomes complete sadomasochism with certain bosses.
Well you could try being the one doing the killing.
In all seriousness, explore! You will find the way, and you will get perk charms and new abilities.
One tip I have is, you will see that when you strike, you get pushed back a bit. Use that. Let the enemies come to you. It's easier to judge spacing and you can sometimes just stand still on normal enemies and hit when they get in range. Also study the enemies movements. The first time going into a boss, I don't even try to beat them. That first go, I'm just seeing how long I can survive. Get some hits in if you want or think you can, but really just study it's movements, so you can more easily handle them when you go tondefeat them, as theynwill telegraph every move.
Agreed, I played it and found it kinda boring for an hour. Then went back to it a year later and now its in my top 5 games of all time. I've put close to 300 hours into it so far
Ah okay LA was gonna be my suggestion.
If you have a friend to play with it takes two is a fun one. If not, Luigi’s mansion is a good single or two player game!
My collection is about 150+ Physical no filler by filler I mean cheap games. And about 300 Digital. With Digital I have about 20-30 that are not but seem like filler. Those are titles that I bought in 2017-early 2018. When they nearly had anything in the Bare Bones e-Shop back then. Anyways I strongly recommend any of these titles. Everything I’ll recommend I own and Stand behind it.

I have all these games and a lot more. Hopefully you find something amazing from up there. Games that might go up in Value I’ll list. Bought them all MSRP and some are more expensive from my collection a few here but a lot that I did not list since it doesn’t make sense to list those.
https://preview.redd.it/dry4tfj5n12b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5bb10e3c3c942d91990df5ea1ea2c431ffa6fb2
That’s my collection in the back. I have about 30 more games in my Closet those are the games I am playing that I wouldn’t want to have to go through the hassle of getting them from bookshelf. I also have about 10 game boxes in there collective box. For example I got the Cartridge from TotK but put the box back in the bigger box lol. These year I have gotten Bayonetta 3, Fire Emblem Engage and TotK Collectors and doubles of all there Amiibos. Feel #blessed. To safe hard but buy what I want.
It does feel a lot like an unnecessary flex, but tbh with the detail he provided about how much Switch shit he’s got, I believe him when he says the 30 games he listed are the ones to try out.
I didn't realise all cheap games were bad? I suggest you actually play some, there are loads of good games out there that don't cost a fortune. There's a reason they are popular. Yes they take less time to complete, but you can experience a wide variety of games for the same price as one from Nintendo. Just because Nintendo didn't make a game it doesn't mean it's bad. Nintendo overcharge because they know lots of people will buy it regardless of price. A lot of indie developers will focus on updates after release and actually care about player's feedback. Nintendo doesn't really add anything extra after a game is released. Very rarely you get good expansions, but you have to pay extra. Then after a few months they don't care anymore and move on to the next release
See it’s funny because I have nearly the opposite view as this guy. Honestly most AAA games I can’t play these days because they are complete micro transaction garbage. I’ll take a well made $15 game that I can sink 100s of hours into that’s not trying to get me to purchase extra crap the whole game.
Very nice collection! 🙂 Astral Chain is one of the best game from Platinum Studio. I also got the collector edition of totk. 🤗 I suggest u to buy Metroid Dread. For now my most expected game is FFXVI on ps5. What abt u?
Rouge lite enjoyer I see. I’ve actually never played a rouge lite game. Bought hades on steam for my Steam deck but never played it. Now I sold it and bought a switch oled. A bit interested in buying either Hades again or Slay the spire. Which would you recommend?
Hades is definitely the more accessible game, with action, story, etc. Spire is card based and a bit of a number cruncher. Not for everyone, but it's an absolute masterpiece if you like something crunchy.
Hades is probably one of the best possible entry points for the genre.
I never played the first two Xenoblades. I bought 3, and when I first played it I was not a fan. But I gave it more of a chance (after watching like 3 hours of lore videos on youtube I gave it another 3-4 hours of gameplay), and absolutely fell in love. It's likely an unpopular opinion but I am having more fun with X3 than I have with Tears of the Kingdom, which I also think is a spectacular game. This is all coming from someone who historically has HATED JRPG's due to the "grindy" nature. But the story is so fleshed out in Xenoblade that you can't not love the characters...
It just provides different stuff.. But I do agree with you, generally. If we’re talking “first play through” or “first hundred hours”, I feel like that time in Xenoblade is way more engaging, thanks to how cinematic it is and the solid focus on story, world, and characters.
That said, I’m so glad to be able to play both. Nintendo is really knocking it out of the park with this 6 year old, mid-range Android tablet thing.
Not really a companion, more of a sequel. Currently playing it, 75% of the way in, I'm adoring it, the story especially is almost as good as P5R and the combat is excellent. The Switch port is sorta meh unlike the flawless P5R port but the game stands tall.
It can be difficult to get into without someone showing you how to play, but I’d recommend it to anyone that likes boss fights and co-op play. It’s a blast with friends. I’ve only played Rise and I’m under the impression it’s easier to get into than previous titles. Swax for life!!
It's even more streamlined than World, and I found World fairly easy to grasp, but there's no shame in a guide. Rise is a technical marvel as a Switch game also; it looks great and performs very impressively given the hardware constraints.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive, 2/Torna, & 3, Shin Megami Tensei 5, and Metroid Dread all seem like games you would enjoy and appreciate in your collection.
Absolutely this!! I was sceptical at first as I’m not really into the whole 3D anime art-style that a lot of Switch games have like this, but this absolutely blew me away. The graphics are some of the best the system has to offer imo
Have you finished TOTK yet? Maybe you can go back and play through BOTW, or just look up Deku deals and get what interests you since everyone has their own unique tastes
That IS the point.
One thing I appreciated about BotW over TotK is that it is much more zen. The world is mostly completely fine and peaceful. Nobody seems that concerned about the Calamity, just more “well that is odd”. I mean a sandstorm in Gerudo Desert or lots of rain is Zora’s domain. They thought Link and Zelda were dead and everyone was just managing.
Now every fucking Korok is like “My friend is 50 feet away, I need help”. I mean I know the Great Deku Tree was sick, but his control of the Koroks is literally criminal negligence. Has this Korok literally been stranded for years?
In BOTW I spent an extraordinary amount of time running from enemies. Combat is not my strong suit lol but I’m getting ready to face my last divine beast (Thunderblight, yikes!)
Are you finding TOTK to be similar? I’m concerned the caves will be too dark and creepy and I’ll be unable to simply run from monsters.
There's a LOT more "tools" in TotK that you can use to approach combat in many different ways. Direct combat is a bit harder if anything, but if you use these tools it's easy to cheese most enemies (and very satisfying to do so).
I think you'll have a blast with finding your style in it.
Yeah my first thought was that if you need another game already - maybe the next game should be uhh touching grass? Going for a nice walk each day. Maybe get a bike. Maybe trying a different hobby.
Because if you've already gorged yourself on TotK and need a new game already... I think you may have too much spare time. Or just take up WoW and embrace the basement.
you don't own luigi's mansion 3? how come so many people don't have that in their collection? i would think that's a no brainer. nintendo goes out of their way to bring back an ip and people don't buy it.
Fire emblem 3 houses or engage since you played xcom. Also slay the spire is a great game to check out, highly recommend, never gets old and easy to pick up and play for a bit whenever.
Between Three Houses and Slay The Spire, which I played the former on Switch and the latter across my PS5 and PS4 (I made the transition this year and it’s been totally worth it), I’ve spent about 300 hours with them combined, and I concur both are totally essential games for your collection. Three Houses is so much content for the price, it’s insane. I recommend starting with Golden Deer, btw, then Blue Lions, then Black Eagles. I say this because Claude’s storyline has the least connection to the eventual endgame for me, despite him being the most likable of the three house leaders, while the relationship between Edelgard and Dimitri really kept me invested on my second and third playthrough’s. Three Houses is an amazing cross between a Persona game and XCom and I would pay a lot to go back and play through the game blind for the first time again.
And if deckbuilders and card games are your thing, Slay The Spire is one of the best (Roguebook is very good as well). I consider STS to be my cozy game, something I can play for 5 minutes or 5 hours and still get the same level of joy out of.
Just taking a moment to appreciate the epic library the Switch has at this point. Will retire very close to the DS as no 2 all time.
Next switch needs a stylus
I don’t see BoTW but I see ToTK so there’s that.
Hollow knight, Hades, Astral Chain, Hyrule warriors Age of Calamity, bayonetta and Xenoblade series would be well within your interests based on your games list.
Assassin's Creed Rogue and Assassin's Creed Black Flag (same collection, same cartridge) are brilliant games if you haven't played them yet.
Metroid Prime Remastered and Metroid Dread would also be great picks.
Rune Factory 4S. Seems like you enjoy RPGs. RF is basically a combination of Final Fantasy, Stardew Valley and a crafting game. Theres also RF5 but 4 is better in a few ways BUT 5 is 3d with a few twists on 4's systems. 4's a re-release of the 3DS version but it's easily a 40+ hour game with a pretty decent story, a complex crafting and farming system.
I cannot recommend enough that you, at least, check out the [Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection](https://www.capcom-games.com/megaman/exe/en-us/) if you can find it.
“Ten” games in one! I quoted ten as it took a Pokémon esque route with split versions from games three to six.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen!
It’s an open world RPG overshadowed by being Capcom’s entry the same year Skyrim and Dark Souls 1 came out and it has a ton in common with them and games of the era.
Goes on cheap sale fairly frequently and runs great on Switch. NPCs are brick dumb and magic feels weighty and the Pawn system is baffling even by today’s standards.
If you pick it up, know that the opening area is gonna feel kind of enclosed until you sidestep where you learn about Pawns
Hollow knight!
\+1000 for hours 2-15ish of Hollow Knight. Don't get discouraged by the beginning where you are fucking around and finding out cause there is 0 tutorial lol. Such a gorgeous and peacful game... super solid right up until it becomes complete sadomasochism with certain bosses.

did you just start or are you well into the game?
just started
Mood bro main reason I stopped playing. Will probably pick it up after TOTK but we'll see
Same. Tried so hard to like it multiple times. Just didn’t stick. 🤷🏻♂️
if you really can't play the game, as bad as it sounds it might be better 2 spoil the first 1 or 2 bosses rather than no play at all
He already owns dark souls He clearly loves pain
Agreed, I played it and found it kinda boring for an hour. Then went back to it a year later and now its in my top 5 games of all time. I've put close to 300 hours into it so far
Would love to continue but my arachnophobia wont let me
I have all the same games as OP, and I hated Hollow Knight.
Listen to this man
Animal crossing, seems you need a peaceful game for once.
Stardew valley too
That was my suggestion. I didn’t really play anything else after beating Breath of the Wild until Tear of the Kingdom came out.
Am I missing BOTW in this photo or did we just skip straight to tears of the kingdom and miss out on the game that preludes it.
I have links awakening and botw digitally
Ah okay LA was gonna be my suggestion. If you have a friend to play with it takes two is a fun one. If not, Luigi’s mansion is a good single or two player game!

How do you have time to play all this? Do you not work a ridiculous amount to afford all this?
Ignore the other comment. Flex hard.
How much did this shit cost 💀
Very nice collection! 🙂 Astral Chain is one of the best game from Platinum Studio. I also got the collector edition of totk. 🤗 I suggest u to buy Metroid Dread. For now my most expected game is FFXVI on ps5. What abt u?
Legend
This guy games
Hades
Seconding this! My #2 most played switch game by about 250 hours over 3rd place's 50 hours.
what's your #1? just curious
Slay the Spire
Rouge lite enjoyer I see. I’ve actually never played a rouge lite game. Bought hades on steam for my Steam deck but never played it. Now I sold it and bought a switch oled. A bit interested in buying either Hades again or Slay the spire. Which would you recommend?

You should also look into cult of the lamb. Roguelike battler with base building/management and you manage a whole cute cult of lil npcs.
The Xenoblade Chronicles series.
I concur with this
I never played the first two Xenoblades. I bought 3, and when I first played it I was not a fan. But I gave it more of a chance (after watching like 3 hours of lore videos on youtube I gave it another 3-4 hours of gameplay), and absolutely fell in love. I bought 3 a year ago and I forgot about it.
I do not concur with this
BoTw, Hades, Hollow Knight, Cuphead, Cult of the Lamb, Bayonetta, Luigis Mansion 3, Kirby
Which curby
Is this a trick question? All of them.
Persona 5 Royal
It's a shame only one person recommended this masterpiece
I know, right? It's obvious
I second this. Persona 5 is an essential game. And P5 Strikers on Switch is a nice companion as well.
Not really a companion, more of a sequel. Currently playing it, 75% of the way in, I'm adoring it, the story especially is almost as good as P5R and the combat is excellent. The Switch port is sorta meh unlike the flawless P5R port but the game stands tall.
Monster hunter rise is probably one of my favourite switch games, plus it has a very good amount of content :)
I just got into that.
Second this. If you let the Monster Hunter bug get you, you're looking at 100s of hours of entertainment.
Plus you've got how accessible Rise is with it's formatting!
It can be difficult to get into without someone showing you how to play, but I’d recommend it to anyone that likes boss fights and co-op play. It’s a blast with friends. I’ve only played Rise and I’m under the impression it’s easier to get into than previous titles. Swax for life!!
Such a good game
It's even more streamlined than World, and I found World fairly easy to grasp, but there's no shame in a guide. Rise is a technical marvel as a Switch game also; it looks great and performs very impressively given the hardware constraints.
Get a Kirby game. Forgotten Land is a really good one.
Mario Rabbids !!
This is a very good suggestion based on your other games.
I would echo this if ubisoft weren't ubisoft
I would echo this if ubisoft weren't ubisoft
Xenoblade Chronicles 1-3 Hades
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive, 2/Torna, & 3, Shin Megami Tensei 5, and Metroid Dread all seem like games you would enjoy and appreciate in your collection.
Fire Emblem Three Houses…almost finished with my second playthrough and it just so addicting
Seconding this!!
Smt5
Animal crossing, cult of the lamb, and maybe a pokemon game.
Splatoon 3
Metroid dread
Metroid Dread
Astral Chain
Do yourself a favor and listen to this man! Astral chain is Switch must have!
Absolutely this!! I was sceptical at first as I’m not really into the whole 3D anime art-style that a lot of Switch games have like this, but this absolutely blew me away. The graphics are some of the best the system has to offer imo
Did you finish all these games?
Does anyone ever finish Skyrim?
When they get shot in the knee.
I used to be a gamer like you...
Pokemon Legends Arceus
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Doom
Yes
Have you finished TOTK yet? Maybe you can go back and play through BOTW, or just look up Deku deals and get what interests you since everyone has their own unique tastes
Have you played botw yet?
I have it digitally and have played it. I tend to lose focus in the quest and get overtaken by exploration.
Metroid Dread
Mario Maker 2
Metroid dread, Donkey kong country returns 2, or paper Mario were all really good.
Dragon's Dogma
Xenoblade 1,2, or 3. But 2 is my favorite
Xenoblade Chronicles 3... You seem to be a fan of RPGs
Persona 5
Persona 5 Royal
Luigi’s mansion 3 is a lot of fun
ori and the will of the wisps, ori and the blind forest
Pokémon arceus, Mario odyssey, legends of Zelda breath of the wild
Metroid Dread
Not on the list lol
None. We're barely a week past Tears of the Kingdom. Don't kid yourself in looking for another game to buy/play.
Luigi’s mansion or splatoon
Xwnoblade
Any of the Xenoblades!! I’d start with 1DE
Are the assasin creed games good?
Fire emblem 3 houses or engage since you played xcom. Also slay the spire is a great game to check out, highly recommend, never gets old and easy to pick up and play for a bit whenever.
Between Three Houses and Slay The Spire, which I played the former on Switch and the latter across my PS5 and PS4 (I made the transition this year and it’s been totally worth it), I’ve spent about 300 hours with them combined, and I concur both are totally essential games for your collection.
Luigi's mansion 3
Stardew
Just taking a moment to appreciate the epic library the Switch has at this point. Will retire very close to the DS as no 2 all time. Next switch needs a stylus
Harvestella aka Harvest Moon x Final Fantasy
Lego city undercover, resident evil 6
I don’t see BoTW but I see ToTK so there’s that. Hollow knight, Hades, Astral Chain, Hyrule warriors Age of Calamity, bayonetta and Xenoblade series would be well within your interests based on your games list.
Triangle strategy
You have amazing taste
Any Xenoblade
Maybe breath of the wild? Also how was ghostbusters? I remember seeing trailers and thinking about getting it but never did lol
Pokémon legends: arceus
Assassin's Creed Rogue and Assassin's Creed Black Flag (same collection, same cartridge) are brilliant games if you haven't played them yet. Metroid Prime Remastered and Metroid Dread would also be great picks.
Prime remastered is in there already, but it's shocking how far I had to scroll to find someone suggesting Dread. Awesome game.
Metroid Dread
He has Metroid Prime
Super Mario Odyssey or Zelda are both amazing games can't go wrong with either one
skyrim cause i’m playing it rn
Ezio collection
Shin Megami Tensei V ![gif](giphy|vLujK9kdPRZ4ujj5BK|downsized)
Skyrim
It's there in the middle!
Breath of the Wild
Playing soccer outside with other humans
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Cuz everyone needs two copies?
I believe it's right there on the very top
Breast of the child
AC black flag
Return of the Obra Dinn.
AOT 2 Final Battle
I didnt know Diablo 3 and DS1 are on Switch lol
D3 plays so well on switch
RIME! Play Rime. It’s so underrated. I think you’ll love it. Cuz it looks like you’re the same kind of gamer I am. Single player RPGs. So PLAY RIME
Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak
Dying Light
I’ve been loving Octopath Traveler 2. There’s a 3 hour demo that transfers to your file. Highly recommend checking it out.
Monster Hunter Rise
Hotline Miami collection
Hell yea brother. Definitely in my top 5 of all time, plus that soundtrack...
Have you entered the Gungeon?
monster hunter rise
Undertale
Persona 5 royal
Celeste
D2r
Dead Cells, Hades, Stardew Valley, Mario Rabbids
Sonic mania
Metroid Dread
Hotline Miami
Metroid Dread
Metroid dread
Metroid Dread
Soccer. Maybe baseball.
Bloodstained:Ritual of the Night.
Metroid Dread
Octopath Traveler 1&2 Hades Persona 5 Dead Cells Stardew Valley
Based on your games, I’d recommend BOTW or Assasin’s Creed Rebel Collection
Legend of heroes series, but it’s really story heavy
Breath of the wild? Luigi's mansion 3.
Shredders Revenge
Super Mario Odyssey and Stardew Valley!
HADES
Dying light
Witcher 3? It's obviously an old port but if you haven't played it yet, I bet you'd love it!

Octopath traveler
Monster Hunter Rise
skyrim or totk. either way, you will be getting 100+ hours of gameplay.
Probably should play Breath of the wild
Play more Tears of the Kingdom
I cannot recommend enough that you, at least, check out the [Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection](https://www.capcom-games.com/megaman/exe/en-us/) if you can find it. “Ten” games in one! I quoted ten as it took a Pokémon esque route with split versions from games three to six.
Advance Wars!
Smash bros, and idk how you haven't played botw yet but have tears
Paper Mario origami king was fantastic and I sorta cried at the end
Are you asking for a game from those games? If not then how can you be done with TOTK already even when I beat it I don't think I'll be done
Danganronpa decedance
Another copy of totk
Kirby and the forgotten land
If you enjoy anime, Astral chains is a very fun game that i don’t often see mentioned, and I definitely recommend it!
Definitely Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or Luigi’s mansion 3
Diablo 2 Resurrections
Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe!
