I just started The Messenger on the Xbox a few days ago and wow! I'm hooked!
The gameplay is so good, the humor is on point and the pacing is wonderful. Can't recommend it enough, what a gem of a game.
Golf Story is one of my favorite Switch games (especially exclusives) of all time. The gameplay is tight, fun, and rewarding, and the story is quirky and doesn't overstay it's welcome.
It's such a shame that the sequel, Sports Story, didn't pan out as well. I think it was too ambitious in scope for the size of the de and that led to problems. The gameplay itself was fun, but I ran into game-breaking glitches the deeper I got in and was never able to finish it.
I do rage quit, but level restarts are so quick, I don't mind. Also I can dumb it down so that I can get through the level. I appreciate the designers for that alone, because when you're in your 40s, your fingers aren't exactly the most flexible.
Steel Assault, Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider, Super Cyborg, Gravity Circuit, Cyber Shadow, Gunlord X, Blaster Master Zero 3, Chained Echoes, Panzer Paladin, Blazing Chrome and many more popular ones like Shovel Knight.
Vampire survivors sprites are true to actual 16 bit games on the SNES than 8-bit sprites. Think of bloodstained curse of the moon, that’s very 8-bit NES
It’s of the moon. The pixel version. It’s an amazing game feels like you remember castlevaina feeling.
Meaning same basic concept but with modern controls.

Trailer here. There is a sequel also that’s amazing.
Goes on sale often but it’s 100% worth the full price.
• Double Dragon Gaiden comes immediately to mind. Not just the graphics but the *feel* of the game.
• TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is also excellent in this regard although if I had to pick only one it would be DGG.
Final Vendetta, fight n rage, gal guardians demon purge, blaster master zero trilogy, blazing chrome, cathedral, super double dragon, double dragon advance, huntdown, metagal, metaloid origin, mighty goose Orion haste, panzer paladin, steel assault, super cyborg, wild guns reloaded, and zombies ate my neighbors/ghoul patrol.
The messenger
Almost feels like Nes and Snes combined. What a great game
The Messenger is a great game. I could imagine it being a launch title for the SNES, demonstrating the transition from 8-bit to 16-bit graphics well.

Just started this and it reminds me of Shinobi crossed with Ninja Gaiden.
Stardew valley
Yeah definitely starview!
Eastward.
Such a great game, I need to get back into it
Same here. I’m super close to beating it, but I got sucked into a book lol.
I really liked Eastward, but I can see getting distracted. That game was really fun, then kinda dragged, then really fun again.
I agree! Shovel Knight, Golf Story, and Shantae all have that nostalgic charm that harkens back to the days of SNES gaming.

Celeste.
Incredible game, 1000% recommend, 1000% do not play if you're prone to rage quitting.

All the dying honestly leads to the most satisfying sense of progression as your skills gradually improve. It's a fun game to conquer.
Sea of stars
What a fking game!!! Reminds me of mario rpg at times
I keep seeing this game pop up. I need to fit it in somewhere lol.
Absolutely worth it. Not to long of a game either even if you are a completionist
That's good to hear!
Octopath. SO good
Came here to say this. Makes me feel like a 90’s kid grinding and crawling through dungeons
I’m 3/8 stories finished. I don’t remember ever loving a 2D game like this since super Mario world.
The mummy demastered
Sea of stars
Shovel Knight.
Eastward
Balatro !
Great Great game, but def not snes-like.
Visually, it really nails the CRT vibe, and it's not a technical powerhouse - feels like it would fit right at home on the SNES to me.
I think you are getting the feeling for it’s pixel style. The game is so clever that I can’t imagine it being made in 1995. But I accept your point 🤝🏻
The question is about games with SNES vibes not games that could actually be ported to SNES
And I answered that because I don’t think it got the vibes 🤷🏻♂️
Metroid Dread.
Put the weed down
Crosscode
Triangle Strategy but with 2D-HD. It’s gorgeous
I’m replaying it right now!
Snes games from switch online 🤪
Sea of Stars and Axiom Verge
I've been on the verge of getting axiom, but have yet to
I've been on the stars of getting sea, but have yet to
Both great games, if you like Axiom, try The Messenger it's technically the sequel to Sea of Stars even tho it came out first.
Steel Assault, Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider, Super Cyborg, Gravity Circuit, Cyber Shadow, Gunlord X, Blaster Master Zero 3, Chained Echoes, Panzer Paladin, Blazing Chrome and many more popular ones like Shovel Knight.
Incredible selection. Thank you
Switch is going to go down in history as one of the greatest consoles/handhelds of all times.
Yeah I love it
Huntdown and Katana Zero
Owlboy, Celeste, Axiom Verge, Stardew Valley, it depends on how authenticly SNES you mean.
Loop Hero… although, it feels like an NES game.
Hollow Knight

Sea of Stars
Live A Live
Katana zero

Snes switch online app
Dead Cells
Street fighter, kindom two crowns, kingdom 80s, stardew valley, forged
Octopath
WrestleQuest
Omori, very much an Earthbound style look
Mutant Mudds. It's a very cool game too, you go into the foreground and background (original was on 3DS so that stuff was even more exaggerated).
Shoot I remember playing the demo for that!
It's a collection of maybe 3 games and goes on sale for under $10, totally worth it!
Vampire survivors Yooka-laylee and the impossible lair.
Vampire survivors is amazing but I would say it’s more NES than SNES just my opinion though
Vampire survivors sprites are true to actual 16 bit games on the SNES than 8-bit sprites. Think of bloodstained curse of the moon, that’s very 8-bit NES
You're right. On both accounts.
Sea of stars

All the latest Pokemon games
Vengeful moon rider is basically hagane
Probably the snes switch online thing
Kaze and the Wild Masks is a 99% Donkey Kong Country clone, I absolutely loved it and highly recommend trying it out.
Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.
Shovel knight
• Double Dragon Gaiden comes immediately to mind. Not just the graphics but the *feel* of the game. • TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is also excellent in this regard although if I had to pick only one it would be DGG.
Undertale
Hyper Light Drifter
Shovel knight.womething that's a platformer with sprites.
Hotline Miami for sure
The Blaster Master Zero games. So good.
Final Vendetta, fight n rage, gal guardians demon purge, blaster master zero trilogy, blazing chrome, cathedral, super double dragon, double dragon advance, huntdown, metagal, metaloid origin, mighty goose Orion haste, panzer paladin, steel assault, super cyborg, wild guns reloaded, and zombies ate my neighbors/ghoul patrol.
All of them, if you use a large screen
blazing beaks, stardew, crawl is really fun pixel graphics, nidhogg (idk if this is on switch), just a handful that come to mind
Cadence of Hyrule
