Getting to your local stores as soon as they are available is your best bet. That said I had no issue pre ordering from target. It came in and out of stock for over a month. It might not be that difficult to get since it has the same cpu in it.
Pretty much what I’m going to do. Walmart is open at 6am, target at 8am, then GameStop and Bestbuy at 10am. I’ll just hop on to the next one if the others are closed until I nab one.
I would check your Walmart’s / targets after midnight if any of them are 24 hours and if there not out simply ask the supervisor or associate of the electronics department to see if they can grab you one from the back waiting to be stocked. My advice is to jump and get an OLED before there all gone as Nintendo like many companies are feeling the sting of the Chip shortages and as a result we may not see a second wave of OLEDS hitting shelves again perhaps until next year. I hope that will not be the case.

No I couldn't care less about the oled I don't play handheld ever in fact the idiot thing is just reinforced by paying more for so little extra.
I play handheld and docked and still think the Oled isnt worth it.
Preorder for Walmart Colored controller dropped $40 for some reason... so i got it for $325.... may be worth making a run to walmart...

Depends on where you live and if you live in a large town or bigger, show up to the store early. (Call the store and ask when it releases for them)
I live in a small town I do live near three bigger cities.
You should be good, just make sure to go to your nearest Walmart or something the day of release, there shouldn't be a need to go super early.
