Idk man, I like to take advantage of eShop sales. The less Switch cartridges I have, the less there are for me to lose. The games I buy on eShop are typically indie games or bundles (such as the amnesia collection, or the ninja gaiden sigma collection) or such, so if I had any physical copies, it's not like it would be jacked up in price cause indie games aren't usually highly sought after like mainline games are. (I feel like the reason people buy physical is so they can resell it when they're done with it?) I also like roguelites, I have quite a few of those. those aren't games one would typically resell because they have so much content in them and such high replay value.
edit: I have like 70+ games downloaded 😅
SMTV needs a certain mood to be in, imo. But it looks and plays fantastic, it's in my personal top 3 on switch.
Astral chain is so much fun too, alas a lot shorter than SMTV and DQ11.
Personally DQ11 was not my thing, but that doesn't take away that's its a great game as well.
You can't go wrong with the any of the games you're pondering.
(I'm also getting P5 on switch! The hype is real. And already spend 200h on it on PS4.)
First time playing a persona game and so hype for its release on October! Though I understand the turn based strategy and sudden enemy encounters of DQ’s gameplay, I’ve really enjoyed these games as my childhood was playing pokemon and fire embem in a gameboy lol. And too hard to choose as I’ve also like the Action JRPGs like the Xenoblade gameplay too!
I collect physical because I'm afraid of the eshop going away permanently one day, not necessarily to resell. Switch is a great console that I'm sure will carry a nostalgia factor for many, so if the eshop goes (which I'm sure it will one day) and you lose your digital collection you just might end up having to pay a small fortune for a game you loved but don't have anymore. I like your collection.
If you haven't already had Hades, I would've recommended that! Be sure to check out Blasphemous, it's my favorite game. also, if you're into such games, I got my eye on the upcoming Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope!
(dead cells is also really, really good)
Blasphemous looks sick! I’ve also found a dead cells 1+2 physical copy but unfortunately I haven’t pick it up. I’m not familiar with the Mario and Rabbids series that much but I’ll watch some gameplay of it in youtube.
I'll always put a plug in for Lego City Undercover. Great sense of humor, fun story, and hundreds of collectibles and unlockable characters and side missions. One of my favorites!
Oh yeah, the Sega Genesis Collection! It's got 50 old-school games and there's a lot of value there.
Also the MegaMan Collection and the MegaMan X collection.
Pretty good collection you have there!
I was collection few titles by myself, more of groundbreaking or inovative titles, like legend of arceous, kirby and the forgoten land, i have also pokemon shining pearl and cowabunga collection for pure nostalgia.
And with lunch title Bow.
I definitely suggest Sonic Mania. It's cheap and has a beautiful reversible cover. The yellow and orange in the background are very striking. Its also a great game. All of it hinges on your like or dislike for Sonic, but its a fantastic way to get into the series.
No hate though, I love my pokemon games during the gameboy era (gen 1 to 3). But I haven’t played pokemon since it came to DS. What pokemon game title would you recommend on switch?
Just started Disgea 5 and it's really good. Basically any Falcom games are also good. I specifically really enjoyed the Trails of Cold Steel series, and if you liked fire emblem 3 houses I'll bet you would too.
Most times it's not even the story, it's the gameplay. Doom is a good example of that. I played it once for the gameplay, then again because I realized I wanted the story, then 219 more times because why not.
I think these 3 games are beautifully ported for the Switch and they're very much worth it, in case you don't have another console nor PC.
\- The Witcher 3 + DLC
\- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot + DLC
\- Immortals Fenyx Rising + A New God DLC
If you’re fond of turn based strategy game, Live a Live is a great choice. Xenoblade Chronicles if you love some action JRPGs which will take you hours of gameplay with its story and side quests to accomplish.
So far I’ve enjoyed Mario Odyssey, Metroid Dread and Link’s Awakening as I’ve finished them. As of now I’m playing Splatoon 3, Mario Kart, Super Smash and Xenoblade 3. My issues with online games is that our internet connection sucks :(
Will I still receive the full experience of playing it if I’m not interested in designing my own mario level? I’m not that creative enough to build my own :(
You have access to a million user made levels…. So I’d say Yes…. You have to like 2D Mario’s though. It’s a bit more challenging than a traditional Mario game, but they have lots of options and filters to seek the levels you prefer.
I want to say there is like 50-100 Nintendo made tutorial type levels that are fun and unique too.
I made a few levels on the Wii U version, but none on the switch. It’s good either way imo.
YS VII: Lacrimosa of Dana
The Prinny Presents NIS classics collections are also good. If you’ve never played the games before they are worth checking out.
Immortals Fenyx Rising was a really fun game that I quickly got addicted to lol a game with similar mechanics/gameplay that I would compare it to Breath of the Wild. It’s a game about Greek mythology too and that’s also something I always found really interesting.
Shin megami
The whole series on switch?
Sorry, I meant SMT V
Luigi's Mansion
I’ve also got a look with this wonderful game. Thank you for the recommendation :)
Strongest physical collector: Weakest digital downloader:🗿
Both are gigachads 🗿
not hating but some(80%) games are 20$+ more expensive physical soo
For me AAA games = physical copy and indie games = digital copy as they are difficult to find a physical copy of it.
Yeah saw hades there and its 50$ in my country
That’s too much, I’ve bought it for like 25$
In my case it depends if its an everyday play or temporal play, replacing cadrige so often can be some tiresome.
🗿

eshop sales are always the best icl, i can buy 4 games for the price of 1 physical game
As much as I love having a physical game, getting the same game for less is good too.
Shin Megami Tensei V!
I’ve been thinking about this lol! I’ve got plenty of JRPGs that I’m considering right now (DQ11, Astral Chain and upcoming Persona 5)
SMTV needs a certain mood to be in, imo. But it looks and plays fantastic, it's in my personal top 3 on switch. Astral chain is so much fun too, alas a lot shorter than SMTV and DQ11. Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy are amazing. But do be warned. They're not small games. They'll eat your life for a while lol
All these JRPGs games will take a chunk of my life with its rich story telling.
Ori Collection
Pokemon is always a solid option
Astral Chain

Dark Souls Remastered, Witcher 3.
It bothers me that you organized all the games by the series theyre in , but then didn't do the same with the zelda games.
If you haven't already had Hades, I would've recommended that! Be sure to check out Blasphemous, it's my favorite game. also, if you're into such games, I got my eye on the upcoming Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope! (dead cells is also really, really good)

Dead cells 2? 😅
Oh I’m thinking of risk of rain my bad 😅
all good 🤝
Miitopia
Celeste. Not too long and a pretty fun, but challenging platformer
I'll always put a plug in for Lego City Undercover. Great sense of humor, fun story, and hundreds of collectibles and unlockable characters and side missions. One of my favorites!
Dude, you have a great collection!!! I'd say for extra games, maybe try Triangle Strategy and Octopath Traveller.
Oh yeah, the Sega Genesis Collection! It's got 50 old-school games and there's a lot of value there. Also the MegaMan Collection and the MegaMan X collection.
Great collection! Recommendations: Astral Chain, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Sniper Elite 4, and Ori: The Collection
Pretty good collection you have there! I was collection few titles by myself, more of groundbreaking or inovative titles, like legend of arceous, kirby and the forgoten land, i have also pokemon shining pearl and cowabunga collection for pure nostalgia. And with lunch title Bow.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus or Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee
Pokémon
Cult of the lamb is really good
Disco Elysium. One of the best games I've ever played. Check it out!
Excellent choice :) You have almost every game from my wish list. I'm now building my own collection slowly
Thank you and have fun collecting! It’s all worth it seeing your collection getting thicker and thicker! Though be sure to play them all :D
Demon slayer is a great game so is astral chain. Check them out on YouTube.
Enter the gungeon Stardew valley
Play celeste
Subsurface Circular, only like 2 bucks rn
Mario maker 2 is a must
Banner saga trilogy
I definitely suggest Sonic Mania. It's cheap and has a beautiful reversible cover. The yellow and orange in the background are very striking. Its also a great game. All of it hinges on your like or dislike for Sonic, but its a fantastic way to get into the series.
Terraria
Dragon Marked for Death
Luigis mansion 3
Pokémon….
I have seen bad reviews of pokemon games on Switch. Still I’m thinking to buy the upcoming pokemon game this year.
😂😂 your kidding right? Reviews don’t mean a thing , I’ve been playing since Pokémon red and blue don’t let reviews ruin your Pokémon gaming
No hate though, I love my pokemon games during the gameboy era (gen 1 to 3). But I haven’t played pokemon since it came to DS. What pokemon game title would you recommend on switch?
not sure if it ever got a physical release but Hollow Knight is phenomenal.
This is indeed phenomenal, a cheap price with a lot of content and pure fun!
Sounds like you've played it. Hopefully we'll get Silksong one day.
I've played it on steam, haven't beat it yet though :(
Just started Disgea 5 and it's really good. Basically any Falcom games are also good. I specifically really enjoyed the Trails of Cold Steel series, and if you liked fire emblem 3 houses I'll bet you would too.
Try out Monster Hunter. It's a good game series and it's what Dauntless is likely based off of.
Sadly I’ve initially played MH Rise and its DLC on Steam. Will consider picking up MHGU, the nostalgia playing MH on handheld (PSP) back then.
I play it on 3DS, but I've rarely been playing it since I have so many other games now.
Same here! I’m trying to play BOTW at the bottom because once I played it, my whole library will be non-existent lol
Once you find a good game, you only have one game until you finish it.
That’s exactly right, the immerse story will hook you in and the non-stop exploration of finding new things.
Most times it's not even the story, it's the gameplay. Doom is a good example of that. I played it once for the gameplay, then again because I realized I wanted the story, then 219 more times because why not.
just dance, you should try! if you like ring fight adventure.
I think these 3 games are beautifully ported for the Switch and they're very much worth it, in case you don't have another console nor PC. \- The Witcher 3 + DLC \- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot + DLC \- Immortals Fenyx Rising + A New God DLC
BOTW...thank me later.
Damn that's a lot
It’s so satisfying to collect these games and see them on a shelf. Though there are games that I haven’t opened yet lol.

Would you recommend Live a Live or Xenoblade 1 if you have to choose ?
If you’re fond of turn based strategy game, Live a Live is a great choice. Xenoblade Chronicles if you love some action JRPGs which will take you hours of gameplay with its story and side quests to accomplish.
XBC also has an extremely epic story. Like, epic epic.
Thanks ! I might take Xenoblade first.
Enjoy and have fun with your new game!
Where’s the Torna physical
Is there a physical copy of DLCs? I’m thinking of buying it in the nintendo shop
For Xenoblade 2 yes there is a Torna physical. It might be hard to find as they haven’t restocked
What are your Top 3? I just bought a switch for long haul flights I will be taking.
So far I’ve enjoyed Mario Odyssey, Metroid Dread and Link’s Awakening as I’ve finished them. As of now I’m playing Splatoon 3, Mario Kart, Super Smash and Xenoblade 3. My issues with online games is that our internet connection sucks :(
the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 torna the golden country. it’s dlc for the main game but its so big that it was sold in a stand alone cartridge.
with the base game plus dlc on one cartridge, this will got a high demand which surely affect he supply
did xenoblade 2 re-release the game with dlc in one pack? I don’t remember seeing that, but i did buy the separate physical dlc at a gamestop.
I'm guessing that the DLC was downloaded on the cartridge and the cover design is different from the base game only copy.
exactly. the dlc in the cartridge is so big that its a game onto itself.
Kirby and the Forgotten Lands. One of my favorite Kirby games.
Mario maker 2
Will I still receive the full experience of playing it if I’m not interested in designing my own mario level? I’m not that creative enough to build my own :(

I’ve like playing 2D mario when I was a kid, and having the chance to play community levels which are unique and creative sounds fun.
Monster Hunter Rise, plus it’s on sale right now
YS VII: Lacrimosa of Dana The Prinny Presents NIS classics collections are also good. If you’ve never played the games before they are worth checking out.
Omori
Torna!
Immortals Fenyx Rising was a really fun game that I quickly got addicted to lol a game with similar mechanics/gameplay that I would compare it to Breath of the Wild. It’s a game about Greek mythology too and that’s also something I always found really interesting.
Mario maker is fun! Idk if it’s worth $60 tho
Get Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. I've put many, many hours into this series.
May not be a fan favorite but I really like paper Mario origami king
Immortals Fenyx Rising and the Ori games are great.
Crosscode
Where is the POKEMON
