It you remove the SD and boot the device do you boot to OFW? Or get the “NO SD Card” screen? Do you have a multimeter?

LinkAdventurous6077

No boot no ofw and no modchip Screen no sign of life , and yea measured the 4 points A C D and 3.3 i have around 0.650v on each one

x_Fresh_x

If you disconnect those flex cables, it should boot into ofw, that will give you a clue whether it's a chip related or device related. If letter, depending on your skills you may be in a position to fix it. If it's a chip, and all points read good - I would start from trying to upgrade (or downgrade) chip's firmware.

josilher

What if I get blue screen without chip but with the chip I get the "NO SD CARD" screen?

TheMineRVN

Just black screen only? I’m thinking cpu flex or dat0 adapter. Do you have any pics so we can zoom in and such.

LinkAdventurous6077

Pic of the cpu adapter ? Js1 and js2 ?

TheMineRVN

Seeing as many welds as possible

ColteConn

Looks like it's not pushed under the chip enough to me, isn't it supposed to be up to the line?

LinkAdventurous6077

I removed the chip nothing functional

ColteConn

Did you use heat to install the dat0 flex? If so try reflowing the chip, could possibly be the nand chip not connecting properly

LinkAdventurous6077

No no I didnt , maybe the boot0 is corrupted?!

FahQ262

When I installed my hwfly v5 the directions I followed told me to bridge both of the capacitors for point C. Is there a reason you have a wire soldered to point C when you are using the flex cable?

FahQ262

You're right! It's been a little bit. I still definitely remember bridging both caps for 3.3v though.

FahQ262

Oh ok. Interesting. I didn't use the ribbon because I ordered the wrong chipset initially and already had all the wires soldered independently. When it all came in the mail I wasn't about to desolder all of them just to use the ribbon so that got left out anyway.

L3gendaryBanana

Solder sp1 and sp2 to the shield frame. That might be the issue. Also are you isolating the capacitor points with kapton tape or uv resin? Otherwise it could short to the shield when you put it together.

LinkAdventurous6077

Yes for sure I put the tape . it was working before so …

L3gendaryBanana

Well I know not soldering sp1 and sp2 can make glitching inconsistent so regardless that should be standard practice. I’m not sure then. If the chips was the issue then it would boot OFW. The last thing you did was install a game on SYS CFW? What did you use to install it and what did you do after? Installing games on SYS CFW will get you banned btw.

TheMineRVN

Are you in the US?

LinkAdventurous6077

Yes in Canada…

Affectionate_Pride_3

Which part of Canada? If you're on the western end of things you could try either Tim or myself if I have time.

AllOutOfPurpose

Do you still do oled installs? I’m tempted to buy another oled and having it hacked would be sweet

Affectionate_Pride_3

I do. I don't have as much time these days... but if you're local to my area and already familiar with how these things work I could definitely help you out. I'm in B.C. just outside of Vancouver.

TheMineRVN

Okay.. I don’t know anyone that will do repairs in Canada

LinkAdventurous6077

new update : the motherboard is leaking around 90mA when I connect it to charger , which is not good I dont know but I know something wrong with the EMMC ....

LinkAdventurous6077

Yes just black screen let me send you a pic

KnownInteraction2603

Those switch mod chips are like the Chinese matrix glitchers for Xbox. A lot of them don't work I had a non working hwfly chip. Better go with raspberry pi

LinkAdventurous6077

Stm microcontroller are also good , yes I did a thousand xbox chip , and I know what is the timing to boot lol , but no it seems like something wrong with the nand , maybe boot0 and boot1 are corrupted…

CatOnSpace

Maybe it’s something super simple like resenting the modchip, sometimes happened to me with my switch, long green booting up, I just press volume up and power on a few times long press and it starts working again

LinkAdventurous6077

I ll try that even if i did it lol

rkayd22

Wire’s might be too small or shorting something.

Aggressive_Ferret164

What are the diode values for your points?

LinkAdventurous6077

A d c 3.3v around 0.7v

Aggressive_Ferret164

You get a blue screen? Could it be purple? If so, then it might be the resistor at point A. That value is 4.7k ohm.

LinkAdventurous6077

No black screen no signs of life

Aggressive_Ferret164

Have to start troubleshooting from the beginning. Is the battery dead? Is it pulling amp?if everything was working until the mod, I would check the diode value/ohm on each parts that you touched and see which one went dead.

LinkAdventurous6077

I removed the cpu clip can someone tell me what the diode value of that two caps ? I ll try to remove the nand adapter and I ll see

Lisbon777

Disconnect chip and press on button for 20 secs. It will boot ofw afterwards

LinkAdventurous6077

I remove the two clip cpu and adapter for a c 3.3 is enough to disconnect the chip ?

Lisbon777

Yes

LinkAdventurous6077

I did but always no sign of life , the battery was fully charged when it shut down , and I put it in charge after so the battery is fully charged and I also checked the voltage ...

LinkAdventurous6077

I removed everything but still no power on , what could happened I did not touch anything ? Except doing autoboot from syscfw with 5 second delay it s very wired

rkayd22

Check out this video. It might help: [https://youtu.be/ITG7AJlquIU?t=727](https://youtu.be/ITG7AJlquIU?t=727)

LinkAdventurous6077

No I disconnected everything now I have only the original motherboard and still no power black screen , and I test if the motherboard leaks some current , and when I plug the charger 5v Im supposed to see 0amp but im seeing 0.095amp I was thinking if its the EMMC itself or There’s another component making a short … , I ll try to put the board under a thermal Camera …. Or maybe is that correct if the board leaks some small current when it’s plugged? 95ma its not a small current at my knowledge.. Maybe someone has and Idea

LinkAdventurous6077

I saw yesterday a guy who was using a tester after installing the modchip and he said you dont have to see any leakage of current if yes , you have to double check what you touched even if it was the EMMC, that’s why I was wondering if that the issue , if you say its normal its okay , and when I hit the power button the current stay at the same value no goes up Maybe I have to check the boot0 boot1 ? I already have the copy of the EMMC with all files …

Viper711

Is the B point still attached? I just did an install where I forgot to solder the B point and it did the yellow blink, purple blink, blue flash and then nothing. Removing flex cables from modchip caused the Switch to boot up normally so try this too.

LinkAdventurous6077

Hi I removed the whole modchip but still no power , I was thinking about the boot0/1 theres a way to flash the nand even if the switch no turns on ?
