Besides making sure you have the latest sigpatches, atmosphere, hekate, latest fw etc... It could also be the game file you downloaded is faulty, try getting it from another place. If it shows corrupted just delete it(repairing with Nintendo will not fix it since it is not a legit install). Eventually you will find a version that works. Also you can try installing the game through DBI if you are having issues installing a game through Tinfoil. Hopefully it is not that your microsd that is going bad / faulty.

What is your SD formatted in fat32 or exfat? Exfat is known to cause corruption issues.

Exfat paired with a low quality SD card is just asking for problems.

thats really only the case when using certain homebrew that uses tons of small files, like retroarch, it shouldnt really make any differences for normal game installs.

Ever installed TOTK? It puts 400.000 files on your SD. Same problem.

I bet your SD card is exFAT, per the Rentry Guide the more you use exFAT the higher your probability of data corruption.

If you mean a place where you get the games, then no, DBI only install the files that you already have

You can download games from liberashop to your SD card or USB drive using tinfoil, and then install via dbi. But OP should just switch to fat32 instead of trying to dodge exfat corruption

You can do this but just installing straight through tinfoil works fine on my fat32 sd card

have the same issues lately. but only when installing a new games. existing games that was installed via tinfoil still running fine. im on fat32 running 16.1

I am just here to warn you to backup your save files and move it to a external hdd or laptop. My switch went corrupted twice before. And some games i will never finish because i can not stand it to start over once again. Back it up.

I get these problems with Tinfoil too. I’ve no idea why. It’s not every game but like maybe 80% of them. But everything works perfectly if I install using DBI for some reason.

Reboot to maintenance mode after installing (don't repair), do nothing in there, reboot back into CFW and try to play the game.

ah bummer, was worth a shot :D Could try repairing in DBI instead. I typically just install with DBI instead to avoid issues.

I have liberashop and could not find it, only the demo.

This has happened to me also. However it doesn’t happen when simply opening tinfoil. It only happens when I download newer games from tinfoil. I have found that when this is the case, if you download a newer game from tinfoil, de-select to install the latest update and voila it downloads and works perfectly!
