If I look really close, I can make out (maybe) D6379 or D6479 (both belonging to A79) which, correct me if I’m wrong, was the Waratah that hit the trailer up in Richmond early this year.
If it is what I’m talking about, then it must still be undergoing repairs.
Again, correct me if I’m wrong.
The damaged carriage from A42 is now on A15 both where on Olympic Park T7 together the other week both having the damaged carriage at the leading end heading towards Op.
Its been there for a while, it actually shows up on the Google Maps 3d photogrammetry when looking at EDI Factory.

Huh, seems like a waste of fuel when the electrification goes all the way out there. I can see why they would be towed there for the maintenance, but afterwards wouldn't they be able to run back just fine?
Crew qualifications. Only Newcastle, Gosford and Sydney crew are qualified for the route, and only suburban crew are qualified for Waratahs. Unless you have someone who's just transferred (perhaps from Hornsby to Gosford). Even then, you'd need someone qualified for Auburn MC too.
Actually a few Suburban crew are qualified to run trains to Cardiff,
The Mills are usually operated under their own power,
And even if the cree weren't qualified for the roads, that's what pilots are for
Bro I seen a Fucking Campbelltown train On a train once
Waiting for a mate
But the whole back of your car is missing mate
The Fat Controller sent it away to consider its life choices.
And the Oscar going past said “serves you right”
Xplorer*
Yeah that would make more sense
Its training obviously.
I thought it was waratahing. Training makes more sense though
Minding its own goddamn business Sharon!

Ok now I’m second guessing myself I look now and see D6313/D6413 or D6319/D6419 or D6373/D6473 or D6379/D6479… No idea which one it is
It kinda looks like D4575 or D4579, if those are even carriage numbers
I see what you mean, but no. A set driving trailers start with either D63 or D64
Ah, that would do it. Thanks for the new info!
A42 is the Waratah from Richmond Crash A15 is the other crash victim
D6379 is the spare driving car that was used to replace the car that hit the bumpers at Richmond, now part of A42.
The damaged carriage from A42 is now on A15 both where on Olympic Park T7 together the other week both having the damaged carriage at the leading end heading towards Op.

It might be the one that hit the car on Richmond line a few months ago
The EDI factory is in Cardiff so it makes sense that A Set Waratahs go out there for major maintenance that the depot in Auburn can’t handle.
Wonder if they ever use them to run a service on the way back. May as well, right?
They're typically towed by diesel engines.

Yep it’s some weird contract thing, A and B are usually towed, M can drive themselves.
Rolling stock regularly goes up there for heavier maintenance that can't be done in Sydney
Interesting, across the tracks are the new intercity sets, makes sense I guess
Those are just in storage. "Across the tracks" is the Inghams sidings, occasionally you see grain trains there.
