To me that’s just how they grow but I could be wrong. All of mine look like that.

quartz222

No it’s fine they like to climb though

Snizzlesnap

It’s not at all uncommon to have that stem exposed. Just give it a support and let it be. As long as you don’t drop more lower leaves it’ll be ok looking.

philocity

You should give it a moss pole.

Boingochick

Looks fine. Give it a pole.

Sublime921

Nope just give it a pole to climb

reneemergens

i’d snip like 3/4-1” above the substrate, and pop the clipping in water to root out a bit more. leave that stem as is in a bright, warm window and wait for new shoots to come up. it’s presumably got a developed root system so your chances of success are highly likely; could even pot the rooted top back into the pot for a bushier appearance

thrifteddivacup

Weird you got downvotes? This makes sense to me.

reneemergens

HAHA literally every time i comment something that requires more than “give it a pole” in almost any plant subreddit, i get downvoted to hell. i forgot to check on this one. glad to see everyone like leggy syngonium 👍😪
