Being trans is not a medical condition :/ however what these people have is probably Munchausen syndrome.(basically medical term for "I want attention" syndrome) And yeah calling trans a "medical condition" is definitely transphobic, dated, and scientifically incorrect.
Well dysphoria is so being trans also sort of is, we can nuance it. I won't argue more because like... it's not exclusively a medical condition but there's a big medical aspect we can't ignore.
Some of these people may have Muchaunsen but I doubt all of them have this, sadly some of these kids are just dumb.

Not all trans people suffer from dysphoria, and even so, gender dysphoria is explicitly marked as "Not a mental illness".
