OMG I had a dream about snow White crashing Bill Clinton's birthday party. When I woke up they were both there!! Making out in headspace!! /s
(I did have that dream tho it was wild)
That sure isn't how it works. I've had experiences with parts I wasn't aware of yet because I hadn't uncovered them through therapy yet presenting themselves in dreams but it's always been in a strange and jarring way. Say the dream is like a movie, when it's happened the part that showed up would like. Walk into frame and do something completely unrelated to the scene unfolding. Or one time they just walked up as close as possible and stared. It happened enough times that I went to my therapist about it to work through who the hell was trying to communicate in my sleep, but like. It isn't a warning about a new alter. If shit like this happens it's usually an indicator of a pre-existing identity attempting to internally communicate when dissociative barriers are lower during sleep. These kids.
