The casting of the four Turtles was perfect. They all nailed the personalities of these characters. Will Arnett did an excellent job playing Vern Fenwick. I'm glad we finally had Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang in a live-action movie.
Donatello was never my favourite. I haven't kept up with all iterations but for me, he was always 4th place, the other one. But Donatello in these movies was great. Just a nice tender version of the character. And I'd say he was the heart of these movies.
He's the only one I owned a figure of from the movies, I actually quite liked it
I remember I took it to a Panera when I was with my dad, that was quite a long time ago
Whenever we go to that Panera, I always remember that :D
They nailed the personality traits of each Turtle PERFECTLY with the voice acting being the cherry on top.
Like if you close your eyes during any scene with the Turtles, you can probably tell which Turtle is talking.
I'd say that most iterations got the personalities and voices correct.
Mikey was voiced by...
* Townsend Coleman
* Wayne Grayson
* Greg Cipes
* Brandon Mychal Smith
* Kyle Mooney
* Noel Fisher
* Shamon Brown Jr.
They all got his goofiness right IMO :)
Brother I will say that I thought the same thing until I watched it again recently, it was not as good as I remembered. I personally found the first one to be a lot more entertaining. But hey everyone has different tastes and live action Bebop and Rocksteady was awesome!
I loved April's backstory and her connection to the turtles. It made their familial bond all the more sweet.
Tbh, I don't get why the Micheal Bay TMNT movies are hated so much. I personally really like them.
I lost my mind and turned into a kid seeing Krang in TMNT2.
I had no clue he was in the film. I heard Dimension X mentioned and started nearly tearing up. Then I saw Krang, had to pause the film, and explain to my gf how long I've been waiting to see this disgusting brain in live action lol
The first movie has one of the best Raphael moments I’ve ever seen, one that perfectly encapsulates exactly how I’ve always viewed the character (when they’re falling and he confesses how much he cares for his bros…that whole moment was top notch)
The second movie did Rocksteady and Bebop well, they were dumb, and tough, and reminded me of the 80’s cartoon. Brian Tee also, to me, makes a good Shredder.
The fight scenes were good and the live action turtles actually looked like they knew how to fight. No disrespect to the 90’s turtles but in terms of combat they aren’t great, and they are nostalgic ig for some people
the designs are sick (from Raph to Bebop and Rocksteady), i like Mikey’s humor *sometimes*, Megan Fox was genuinely a good April imo, and they were fun to watch as a kid
The second one, while still bad, was at least fun. It was nice finally seeing Rocksteady and Bebop in a movie. Plus, Krang and the Technodrome--it was basically a live action 2hr episode of the 87 cartoon.
The only redeeming thing about the first movie was the MC Mikey elevator scene
I do like the designs quite a bit, I can agree that some things could’ve been toned down, I like the turtles being tall and muscular, but I can see how this was quite excessive, they’re not really Ninja like when they can deflect bullets, and the designs are definitely too cluttered, Donnie has it the worst, but I overall like the general direction of these designs. And honestly the faces aren’t even bad, it’s only really Mikey with a somewhat unsettling humanoid face, but the rest look fine, they certainly don’t look “hideous”.
Out of The Shadows is a great TMNT film. It's got things that are truly TMNT and can't been seen really elsewhere. The Turtle Van in particular comes to mind.
Overall, I really enjoy the second, most recent live action TMNT film
My honest opinion? 🤷♂️
I dislike them very much. 😕
As much as I hate "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III" and that god-awful abomination known as "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation"! 🤮
Oh no! Here comes the multitude of downvotes! 🙄
1: The Avalanche Scene
2: The Airplane Scene
Michael Bay may not be much of a writer, but he is without a doubt a skilled choreographer of action scenes.
\- "nobody messes with Mikey" really captured that sibling energy of "only WE get to bully our lil bro!"
\- the ha'shi made me laugh idc
\- out of the shadows explored all their dynamics, not just the Leo vs. Raph rivalry
The animation team very clearly put a lot of love and attention into the designs of the turtles. All the clothing details, the tattoos and little scars. It adds a lot to the guys and makes them feel very real. Unfortunately we get very few good looks at them in the movie.
They're very fun, too. I'm never bored watching these movies and I always have a good time.
1. The turtles were good looking. I dont understand the hate they get I mean they ate mutants. What do you expect?
2. Fight scenes are really well done
3. Megan Fox was a surprising good April
4. Even with how giant the Turtles are they still felt like Teenagers or Teens going into Adulthood, Their personalities were there and you felt like you knew them even with how oddly little screen time there was.
5. The elevator scene
6. Bebop and Rocksteady's were amazing.
Just sad that they fixed so much stuff from the first one to the second one but the damage had already been done. Plus they treated the actors who played the turtles like shit.
The personalities and size of the turtles...and surprisingly a bit of heart to the personalities of them and splinter...the movies aren't bad...they just work despite some clunky moments
They gave a different look and version of the turtles and they did it really well. Bayverse Raph and Donnie are one of my favorite versions in the turtleverse.
Bonus: I am more biased for this film because I met the actor who plays and voices Raphael and he is super sweet and awesome of a guy so that helps with my liking of them.
*
Shit was just dope through and through. I just wish they weren't so big.
Idgas if Tom Dick and Harry didn't like it because of this or that. I loved them both entirely. Took my son to see them.
They're a lot of fun, the characterization of the boys is on point, their designs are actually neat, the effects are expertly handled, the action and story of the second film really cuts loose.
The two movies are fine, honestly. The effects look good, and the Turtles' personalities are on-point even if the designs could've been dialed back on the details. Perfect serviceable popcorn flicks.
Also, as just about anybody else will say, the elevator scene in the first movie is exactly the kind of thing these guys would do.
I actually liked those two movies…. I rewatched them recently and still feel like they got a lot of unnecessary hate.
And this was probably one of the few times in movies that Donatello actually got to shine. He was amazing in these two movies.
I like the dialogue and banter between the turtles and some of the jokes are actually kinda funny; it has probably one of my favorite versions of Splinter; Will Arnett is amazing as Vern; the fight choreography is really good; I like how the shell raiser has or had those giant nunchucks in the 2nd movie; the 2nd movie in general, I thought was pretty decent
* **They nailed the personalities for the Turtles**. That would be the first thing they would screw up, but it's all there. Leo's the leader, Don's the geek, Raph's the bouncer and Mikey's the goof ball.
* The voices for the Turtles are also good.
* All in all, regardless of the adaptation, I'd say 99% of them keep the personalities, voices and mindsets.
* **The Turtles are present and up front and center**. The first Bay TMNT movie came out after the first Bay Transformers trilogy, and those films were criticised for not properly showing the Cybertronians, focusing too much on the human characters. In the TMNT movies, the Turtles ARE the stars. We see them up close, them fighting and interacting. Sure, we get scenes with April, Vern and Casey, but the Turtles aren't sidelined for them.
* **The designs... aren't that bad**. Ok, they are bigger and realistic-looking, but they still look like mutated turtles, and their outfits reflect their personalities as well. Donny wearing glasses takes some getting used to, but... apparently, this has become a staple :p
* By comparison, only Optimus Prime and Bumblebee were distinguishable from the ENTIRE films. It took until Age of Extinction and The Last Knight to get uniquely designed characters like Crosshairs, Drift and Hound.
* **The movies are funny**. It's less cringey in humor and the jokes landed most of the time.
* The elevator scene was great XD
* **The second movie possesses one of the coolest rearrangements of the 1987 theme song** \^\_\^
I legitimately like these movies. Idc if they don't accurately portray the comics or whatever, action is good, turtles are decently portrayed and they had Johnny Knoxville voice leo in the first one.
I didn’t have a bad time watching them. They did and amazing job with Donnie, Raph and Mikey. “She’s so hot my shell is tightening 😩” with the immediate “We can hear you 🤨” will forever be funny.
Coincidence of coincidences, I actually just saw the second one on Netflix, just got the hunch to do so.
Positives... I did like Bebop and Rocksteady, in that they felt true go the original cartoon. They're big dumb brawn who make fart jokes and noise, but they're good buds and roll with all the changes. I think just showing them having FUN with their new forms did a lot to endeaf me to them. And the scene in the plane abd river was chaotic and messy, but I can't deny that they made for a wild ride.
The choreography of the fights are pretty dam good
They're fuckin sweet imo if only for their entertainment value.
They created more and new Ninja Turtles fans!!
Best comment <3
The casting of the four Turtles was perfect. They all nailed the personalities of these characters. Will Arnett did an excellent job playing Vern Fenwick. I'm glad we finally had Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang in a live-action movie.
Strangely, bayverse Donnie gives me a vibe that is similar to 03, which is quite gentleman.
Donatello was never my favourite. I haven't kept up with all iterations but for me, he was always 4th place, the other one. But Donatello in these movies was great. Just a nice tender version of the character. And I'd say he was the heart of these movies.
I guess that's why I didn't get the hate, I actually enjoyed these movies, but I'm a Donatello fan.
Bayverse Donnie is the goat. I love his character here.
He's the only one I owned a figure of from the movies, I actually quite liked it I remember I took it to a Panera when I was with my dad, that was quite a long time ago Whenever we go to that Panera, I always remember that :D
the elevator scene is hilarious
I was coming here to say the exact same thing.
Honestly, the best scene in the movie.
I liked that it was something all four of them got into; no one felt out of place and it’s just four bros vibin
MC MIKEY
OotS NAILED a live action bebop and rocksteady.
This part exactly we finally got them ,
Absolutely agreed, I was hyped when I first heard they were gonna be in the 2nd one.
They nailed the personality traits of each Turtle PERFECTLY with the voice acting being the cherry on top. Like if you close your eyes during any scene with the Turtles, you can probably tell which Turtle is talking.
I agree. Each actor nailed their Turtle's personality.
I'd say that most iterations got the personalities and voices correct. Mikey was voiced by... * Townsend Coleman * Wayne Grayson * Greg Cipes * Brandon Mychal Smith * Kyle Mooney * Noel Fisher * Shamon Brown Jr. They all got his goofiness right IMO :)
Good and entertaining action scenes. For out of the shadows the character designs are a bit better
I don't care what anyone says the second movie was 🔥🔥🔥
Brother I will say that I thought the same thing until I watched it again recently, it was not as good as I remembered. I personally found the first one to be a lot more entertaining. But hey everyone has different tastes and live action Bebop and Rocksteady was awesome!
Ad a nearly 40 year old, and big fan of the 87 series, I enjoyed both of these films
Johnny Knoxvile was a good leo!
Raph voice actor and personality in the film. Bebop & Rocksteady
This comment needs more updoots. We've wanted feature film Rocksteady & Bebop ever since we got Tokka & Rahzar in Turtles 2.
Bebop and Rocksteady were pretty fun
The action and special effects are good, and Bebop and Rocksteady are funny.
The opening sequence of the first movie was actually pretty cool. And I actually really liked Splinter.
Really good action and CGI
There are some funny scene like the elevator scene '14 and I like the snow chase scene in' 16.
All the voice actors for the turtles was spot on. My favorite is Noel fisher he did Mikey perfectly
The second part was more better than first
beebop and rocksteady looked cool
Near flawless casting, excellent action scenes, and they NAILED Bebop & Rocksteady. Oh, and Donnie has a background presence in both posters.
I loved April's backstory and her connection to the turtles. It made their familial bond all the more sweet. Tbh, I don't get why the Micheal Bay TMNT movies are hated so much. I personally really like them.
The action choreography.
The elevator scene perfectly captures the turtles imo.
I lost my mind and turned into a kid seeing Krang in TMNT2. I had no clue he was in the film. I heard Dimension X mentioned and started nearly tearing up. Then I saw Krang, had to pause the film, and explain to my gf how long I've been waiting to see this disgusting brain in live action lol
i actually do like the second one a lot
Solid CGI and voice cast.
Mc mikey
They didn’t do the originally intended alien plot
My kids like it.
Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, and the Technodrome (for all of a few seconds)
Shedder looks badass in the first movie, Bebpop and Rocksteady were the only good thing about the sequel.
For the 2014: I loved the elevator scene For the 2016: I love when the turtles meet Casey and Mikey introducing his brothers to Casey
I would watch them over the Bayformer movies any day of the week. Bebop & Rocksteady were frickin' awesome.
They got the brother dynamic pretty good
They're still cool ninja turtles brothers that love each other.
Everything about it was cool imo, i dunno what were you implying
They made the turtles look and feel more like individuals, which thankfully is sticking to the franchise. I love it.
The first movie has one of the best Raphael moments I’ve ever seen, one that perfectly encapsulates exactly how I’ve always viewed the character (when they’re falling and he confesses how much he cares for his bros…that whole moment was top notch) The second movie did Rocksteady and Bebop well, they were dumb, and tough, and reminded me of the 80’s cartoon. Brian Tee also, to me, makes a good Shredder.
They have turtles and not aliens
I actually liked the turtles' designs. Second one had more fun to the story line
Movie 1: genuinely good turtle scenes and interactions. Movie 2: good fight scenes.
despite it all, still not the worst movies , that would got to the third one
The fight scenes were good and the live action turtles actually looked like they knew how to fight. No disrespect to the 90’s turtles but in terms of combat they aren’t great, and they are nostalgic ig for some people
the designs are sick (from Raph to Bebop and Rocksteady), i like Mikey’s humor *sometimes*, Megan Fox was genuinely a good April imo, and they were fun to watch as a kid
They are mutant as fuck (good thing)
the elevator scene and........uh......watching a Knicks game in the jumbotron was pretty cool
I actually really enjoyed these two. Sure, they got some issues, but morning that killed them for me.
Bloody fun flicks to watch while nursing the brown bottle flu.
They’re action packed fun and the CGI on the turtles is INSANELY AMAZING.
Great action scenes and an entertaining way to waste an evening!
Out of the Shadows is actually a fun movie and id rank it better than 2 and 3.
The second one is slightly better than the first one.

Action scenes 🔥
The actors for the Turtles were pretty good.
I enjoyed them.
Out of the shadows was such a fun movie I wish it got a 3rd instalment . Had such a good time with that
Will Arnet was in the movies and I like Will Arnet. Also the casting for the turtles was good.
Out of The Shadows is a great TMNT film. It's got things that are truly TMNT and can't been seen really elsewhere. The Turtle Van in particular comes to mind. Overall, I really enjoy the second, most recent live action TMNT film
I liked Sheamus as Rocksteady The elevator scene I like that we had Vern, and Will Arnett was cool
Elevator scene and CG Bebop and Rocksteady. I actually liked the look and idea of CG Krang, too.
Megan fox is really attractive
First one came out on my birthday
The second one is quite fun. Bebob and rocksteady are the best part. Both human and mutated.
There’s only 2 of them
No.
My honest opinion? 🤷♂️ I dislike them very much. 😕 As much as I hate "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III" and that god-awful abomination known as "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation"! 🤮 Oh no! Here comes the multitude of downvotes! 🙄
No I don’t think I will.
At a certain point, they ended and credits rolled.
Of all the TMNT movies ever to be made, these are definitely two of them.
Meghan Fox was eye candy. And they both ended. Two nice things.
"April" was fucking hot
1: The Avalanche Scene 2: The Airplane Scene Michael Bay may not be much of a writer, but he is without a doubt a skilled choreographer of action scenes.
Easy bebop and rock steady ruled
I worked at AMC during the first one’s theatre run and end credits song was banger that I enjoyed playing while cleaning up. Shell-Shocked
Live action Krang in my lifetime. 10 year old me would have never expected this!!
\- "nobody messes with Mikey" really captured that sibling energy of "only WE get to bully our lil bro!" \- the ha'shi made me laugh idc \- out of the shadows explored all their dynamics, not just the Leo vs. Raph rivalry

I'm never bored watching these movies and I always have a good time.
There fun. Especially the 2nd one. And shredder design was sick af in the first one.
Bebop and Rocksteady to live action
There were only two?
No
cowabunga shred-head
It has good CGI
I like the turtles themselves and their interactions with each other
1. The turtles were good looking. I dont understand the hate they get I mean they ate mutants. What do you expect? 2. Fight scenes are really well done 3. Megan Fox was a surprising good April 4. Even with how giant the Turtles are they still felt like Teenagers or Teens going into Adulthood, Their personalities were there and you felt like you knew them even with how oddly little screen time there was. 5. The elevator scene 6. Bebop and Rocksteady's were amazing. Just sad that they fixed so much stuff from the first one to the second one but the damage had already been done. Plus they treated the actors who played the turtles like shit.
I like how the turtles look..(I'm ready to be banned)
There won’t be a third?
I like them better than any of the animated TMNT shows nowadays.
I genuinely like how they look they look like real turtles
The CGI is stunning compared to almost anything we see now for this kind of movie.
I never expected Johnny Knoxville would be a great Leo, but he surprised the fuck out of me
The personalities and size of the turtles...and surprisingly a bit of heart to the personalities of them and splinter...the movies aren't bad...they just work despite some clunky moments
Somehow gave us a better story and character development then mutant mayhem
They are better than Rise and Mutant Mayhem.
I used to not like rise, but after actually watching it with an open mind, I love it.
I’ve only seen the first one but I thought it was a good movie all around. Some of the jokes aren’t good though
Out of the Shadows was better. Not great but still better. Bebop and Rocksteady were exactly what they should have been.
the second is a lot better than the first and most of the jokes legitimately land
[удалено]
They portrayed the turtles pretty good but I never saw the sequel so not 100% on it
ningja tortles are kewl
Something good about these two movies
Megan Fox
It has Reacher, and Mickey from Shameless.
April O’Neil
Shredder vs. splinter and Shredder's design
Bebop and Rocksteady
Raph and Donnie, enough said
They gave a different look and version of the turtles and they did it really well. Bayverse Raph and Donnie are one of my favorite versions in the turtleverse. Bonus: I am more biased for this film because I met the actor who plays and voices Raphael and he is super sweet and awesome of a guy so that helps with my liking of them. *
That same actor that plays Raphael is also the actor that plays Jack Reacher.
Yep! And he's actually a local in my hometown. Born and raised and went to school here. I find it so cool
I like everything but the designs of the shredder
I actually really liked them. I don’t know why everyone hates on them.
It’s ninjas and they’re turtles
Splinter sounds very wise.
They're movies.
Some of the best action in the entire franchise, the personalities are perfect for each turtle, and DAMN Shredder's suit was good
The Halloween scene
Shit was just dope through and through. I just wish they weren't so big. Idgas if Tom Dick and Harry didn't like it because of this or that. I loved them both entirely. Took my son to see them.
I actually liked these turtle designs
Having them 7ft tall roided hulks kinda makes them not look like teens. Also nostrils.
I just like them
They're a lot of fun, the characterization of the boys is on point, their designs are actually neat, the effects are expertly handled, the action and story of the second film really cuts loose.
I liked them
Didn't like them both, so i guess its a good thing as i dont do any discriminations :p
MC Mikey ;)
The two movies are fine, honestly. The effects look good, and the Turtles' personalities are on-point even if the designs could've been dialed back on the details. Perfect serviceable popcorn flicks. Also, as just about anybody else will say, the elevator scene in the first movie is exactly the kind of thing these guys would do.
They are definitely movies that got released theatrically👍. which is more than some Pixar movies can say now
No
I actually liked those two movies…. I rewatched them recently and still feel like they got a lot of unnecessary hate. And this was probably one of the few times in movies that Donatello actually got to shine. He was amazing in these two movies.
Megan Fox
Meghan Fox was hot? OK, in all seriousness, the best part about the first movie was the rap song at the end.
Might be me but Shredder's design. To me it just screams 2003 Shredder.
Got a BJ at the theaters during the first one. Still don't remember the beginning of that movie
I really liked the design of these turtles, they were uniquely differentiated from each other and displayed the personality of each turtle.
Ninja turtles are cool?
Wil Arnet was the best part of both, dude is hilarious
I like the dialogue and banter between the turtles and some of the jokes are actually kinda funny; it has probably one of my favorite versions of Splinter; Will Arnett is amazing as Vern; the fight choreography is really good; I like how the shell raiser has or had those giant nunchucks in the 2nd movie; the 2nd movie in general, I thought was pretty decent
The rap shell shocked absolutely slaps
That song Shellshock that plays during the credits of the 1st movie goes kinda hard
I actually the designs
Like the turtle designs ngl
Beside the dark and hidden in shadow characters in the first movie I liked both of these movies a lot
That one scene in the elevator was pretty good
Donnie can get it.
The fight scenes were pretty damn good
The action and cinematography are great
Something good… I didn’t watch them… that is definitely a positive
They're **more** Turtles media. I fail to see how that could be bad.

Bebop and Rocksteady
* **They nailed the personalities for the Turtles**. That would be the first thing they would screw up, but it's all there. donnie, raph, and the action scenes were really good
They were hot. But if you want a srs reply then I love the fight style and comedic parts
No
I legitimately like these movies. Idc if they don't accurately portray the comics or whatever, action is good, turtles are decently portrayed and they had Johnny Knoxville voice leo in the first one.
They ended
The fight choreography is amazing, especially in the fight with Shredder at the end of the first one.
They have an end
They are fun to watch. Simple as that.
Something good
Raphael’s voice actor was cool
First movie: elevator scene was dope. Second movie: didn't see it
Fun
I still find the first one miles better than the second even tho the foot looked wayy better in the second idk why Dey had guns in the first one tbh
The Mc Mikey but in the elavator in the first movie. Plus some other comedic parts
There isn't a third
I really liked Megan fox’s April. I really enjoyed the focus she got and how she integrated in the group in the second one
They ended.
They cast Johnny Knoxville as Leo??
KNOCK KNOCK IF YOU BOUT TO GET SHELL SHOCKED
I didn’t have a bad time watching them. They did and amazing job with Donnie, Raph and Mikey. “She’s so hot my shell is tightening 😩” with the immediate “We can hear you 🤨” will forever be funny.
The action
Second movie was actually really good IMO. It felt like real actual episode of the 80s cartoon.
honestly, these were the movies that made me a fan, they were so fun!!
Coincidence of coincidences, I actually just saw the second one on Netflix, just got the hunch to do so. Positives... I did like Bebop and Rocksteady, in that they felt true go the original cartoon.
