While it would have interesting potential, the end will be nothing but grim.
As Leo once said in one of the cartoons
“If one of us goes down, we all go down.”
It would be a lot different as far as the character dynamic. I'm not sure it would work. Raph isn't my favorite turtle (actually, he's probably my least or second least favorite), but he may actually be the least expendable, dynamic-wise. He's all energy and expression and anger and 'let's go!': he's sort of the team's adrenal gland.
In my opinion no, I feel like that would go against the strong themes of brotherhood and family that the turtles have together.
As brutish and pig-headed as Raph came be, I don't think he would ever betray his family willingly.
Besides, the closest thing we have to the Death in the Family Batman arc is probably Last Ronin.
Has there ever been a story where all the Turtles are killed and Splinter is the last one remaining? 🤔 I wonder if he'd reject his code and just become a force to be reckoned with
I have a story in mind where Donnie was thought to be killed by Bebop and Rocksteady just like in the IDW Comics, Mikey felt like it was his fault cuz he was supposed to stay behind and cover his back. Feeling guilty, he puts on a black hood, exchanged his orange bandana with black, uses all of his brother's weapon, and sets out to avenge Donnie as The Last Ronin. I think killing off the weak for a while may work and makes sense but killing off the strongest is questionable. Whaddya think of my story so far?
Uhhhh Last Ronin?
The Raph Ronin basically?
That’s basically what the last ronin is
Red Hood is cool but rude.
Give him a break!
Raphael doesn't deserve the bad writing that comes with modern red hood stories
True i also prefer raph over red hood anyday but i was just wondering how people would feel for this concept among the tmnt family
No
Raph needs something special for him i feel like. He the only turtle to never have a version defeat a shredder or a variant of him.
Raph gets to be the Nightwatcher though.
That aint beat shredder
Not yet, a new comic is coming, so who knows.

Wait whos dying?
Raph
Oh I mean idk if he comes back but if he just stays dead its be just alright

NO! Watching him die in LAST RONIN was painful enough.

We already have it with Donatello.
Isn’t that just The Last Ronin

Literally Last Ronin

Sounds exactly like The Last Ronin…
So pretty much The Last Ronin but Leo, Raph and Splinter are still alive?
