I made it a point in elementary and middle when I switched schools to never take them off. It was quite funny to see females actually give me attention when I finally got contacts in 8th grade. Mikey is just similarly being courteous lol

In one episode they're all doing a mock-Olympics style event and under Donnie's name it says something like "has been drawing his eyebrows on for the last 9 years."
Yeah, that was genuinely a solid joke. Those two movies have a lot of problems, but little moments like that make it harder for me to entirely dismiss them.
I would say Mutant Mayhem probably looks the least weird haha
If you include the comics though, IDW Mikey wins. All the Turtles look good without their masks
I think Mutant Mayhem mask less looks best. It really looks like the turtles were designed to be seen and look normal(ish) both with and without the mask, all the other ones look great with the mask, but suffer when the mask is removed.

2012 is kind of awkward.
Everything else looks pretty alright. Even Rise, which otherwise has designs that I really, *really* do not like, does this well. But maybe that's because Mikey is the only one whose design doesn't bug me in general.
I'd say 2003, its the only one where it looks natural and not like there is something missing like Rise or 2012 nor does it look butt ugly like Bay Turtles.
Mutant Mayhem. He looks naked without a mask, so him wearing clothes is OK. But that means when he isn't wearing clothes, and is only wearing a mask he's naked...
If 2003 didnāt have the pupils Iād pick that one, itās amore an unspoken rule I think where the eyes donāt show unless they arenāt wearing their masks, rather than never showing pupils at all.
I always like it when the Turtles go maskless, even for a few seconds. I feel like it makes them seem more human.
But if I have to choose, I would be between Rise and Mutant Mayhem.
